I'll be honest, PdW2kX...
I don't think there's a chance in hell UFC makes Shields/Silva for at LEAST another year or two if he beats GSP.
Shields winning the belt means all the guys GSP destroyed will be in line for title shots.

Probably. I was actually kind of surprised they didn't let Shields come in at 185 after what he did to Hendo. I think Shields would have done a better job against Silva than Sonnen did.

I know there's still the Fight Night before this event but, mann, the promo got me hyped for 129. Loving the St. Pierre trailers lately. Dang it, they took off the trailer! Stupid copyright issues

While I understand the focus on GSP and Shields, I'm pretty surprised to see no one really talking about José Aldo vs. Mark Hominick. Mark was on fire his last outing in the cage, and his accuracy was crazy. I'm pulling for Mark, but Aldo is no stepping stone. Here's to hoping Mark has done his homework.

Another big fight not getting too much attention is Couture/Machida. Interesting to note that this is Couture's first fight not in the Main or co-Main Event since UFC 54. I feel as if someone already pointed that out already here. also, for those going to expo, here's a list of the confirmed fighters. www.ufc.com/news/ufc-fan-expo-fighter-list-toronto-032311

Mark Hominick really made Grispi look like a can, which made me think were the UFC feeding Aldo Grispi to introduce him to the UFC. I know Grispi didn't perform anywhere near his potential vs Mark but wow.
I'd like to see Aldo start with a win as i feel he is in the P4P top 3/(4), Mark is going to be ready to give it all in this fight.
As for Jake, I'm really not sure as good as his coach is with game plans, GSP is also one of the best at having one and sticking to it. Jake is wicked off his back and i know that if i do go to America hopefully in the next year or two for a year, when it comes to training i will be doing his form of AJJ, where available.
Sucks these fights are so far away though!

Really looking forward to this event, top to bottom it looks fantastic. I'm expecting great things from Bendo, and I hope Couture can get past Machida. GSP will win his match, hands down.
I have a feeling a lot of fights will be going to the judges.

I actually could have gone to see this event live, but couldn't get my passport in time. It's a damn shame.

This should be a sick card. Two title fights, and hopefully the Return of the Dragon! Tons of respect for Randy, but my boy Lyoto better finish him, and finish him decisively!
Georges St-Pierre Vs Jake Shields - Via Third Round TKO
Jose Aldo Vs Mark Hominick - Via First Round KO
Randy Couture Vs Lyoto Machida - Via Second Round TKO
Ben Henderson Vs Mark Bocek - Via Second Round Submission
Vladimir Matyushenko Vs Jason Brilz - Via Unanimous Decision
Funny thing is a lot of these fights could easily go either way, but I hope for a stellar night of fights! With that being said........
WAR Machida! WAR GSP!

New poster from UFCStore.com It looks too much like the Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Daley poster for me to really like it.

^ Holy Crap that looks amazing. Best poster since that similar style with Penn/GSP II

Yeah, I think the 'flag' thing is getting overdone.
I mean, it's cool... But they're not promoting this as a US vs. CAN fight at all, so I don't get why it's on the poster.
