I just like it because its a different vibe than the normal the 2 fighters facing off with "Who vs. Who" text underneath it with the co main. To see something different like this always excites me.

I think Shields is going to win, on paper he shouldn't but I just have that feeling.

I don't think anyone has had a worse feeling than you with Forrest KOing Silva, I'm sorry but I just had to take the shot.

Since when did this become a USA vs Canada event? It seems like every commercial I see they keep making it known that Nate Diaz is from USA and Rory McDonald is from Canada, Shields from USA, GSP from Canada, Jake Ellenberger from USA, Sean Pierson from Canada. Why do they keep doing that?

Why do they keep doing that? I guess they noticed the little theme they had going on and decided to play on it. 9 out of the 12 fights are Canadian vs American.

I don't think anyone has had a worse feeling than you with Forrest KOing Silva, I'm sorry but I just had to take the shot.Oh yes, they have. A few members on here picked James Toney to beat Randy Couture. In my opinion, that one was WAY worse. Tony had no business being inside The Octagon, especially with someone as experienced as Couture and yet, some people looked passed that and STILL picked Toney...Wow... You do not send a first-timer to MMA to fight Randy Couture. Look what happens... I'm sorry, but I just had to take the shot. Anyway, back on the topic at hand, I am getting REALLY excited for this show!! It'll be me and my 3 brothers going and it should be awesome. Man, I don't give a damn how bad our seats are or whatever. Just to actually be there in attendance that night, is going to be history. Biggest UFC crowd ever. 55,000 fans!! It's gonna be freaking incredible!! I can't wait to hear the ovation GSP gets that night when he makes the walk to The Octagon. And I'll be there rooting him on!! Can't ing wait!!

Lol, James Toney is a professional boxer who's a well known knockout artist. No one was picking Toney to win a decision, or via flying arm-bar. They were picking Toney to win by knockout. Then, you have Forrest Griffin, who's closest thing to a knockout victory in the UFC was a TKO against.... Elvis Sinosic. Which happened like what, almost 6 years ago. And you were picking him to knockout Anderson Silva, someone who's NEVER been finished by knockout in his entire career. lolwut? sorry Old School, you still hold the worst prediction on these boards. Perhaps even in MMA history.

Definitely your opinion, but I just don't see how it can be considered a worst prediction. There should always be decent reasoning behind a prediction, and an argument can be made for Toney knocking out Couture. What's the argument in Griffin knocking out Silva?

He's a boxer against one of the worlds best MMA fighters, what do people thinks going to happen? It's not a boxing match. Had he been a MMA fighter which had a boxing background, someone who could rely on more than just throwing a punch I could of understood, but he had no reason to be in a MMA match on the level of the UFC, especially against Randy frickin' Couture who still today is one of the best despite the disrespect he gets off some silly MMA fans out there. Least Forrest has some MMA history to look at to make an assumption like that, as dumb as maybe to.

And yet Sonnen had Silva SERIOUSLY rocked about a minute into their fight. Sure, he wasn't finished, but he was very close to being finished...He was rocked and NOBODY has had Silva rocked like that. My point being is, don't say it isn't possible because it can happen on any given night. Sure, I made the bad call of Forrest KO'ing Silva. I thought it was possible, but I was wrong. However, people actually picking James Toney to beat Randy Couture?? Come on now...You said he's a boxer and well known-knock-out artist... Answer me this, exactly how many shots did this "knock-out artist" land in that fight?? LOL...I don't think he landed one single punch...What a ing joke man. Some knock-out artist he proved to be... You will NEVER convince me that me saying Forrest KO'ing Silva was worse than some people picking James Toney to beat Randy Couture. What were people thinking?? At least Forrest put up some sort of fight, unlike that tomato-can James Toney...Seriously, how pathetic was that take-down Randy scored on him??...Wow...What a joke... Randy took him down with ease and Toney couldn't get back up..."Lights-Out" my ass...More like "Tap-Out". ;D

Is this the UFC 129 thread or the "Anderson Silva got rocked and James Toney rules" thread?

Is this the UFC 129 thread or the "Anderson Silva got rocked and James Toney rules" thread? Oh, it's definitely the UFC #129 thread for sure. I just needed to voice my opinion on that bum James Toney, that's all. ;D I wonder if UFC will release another batch of tickets for this event, just as a last minute type thing, to pack it even more. I wouldn't be surprised one bit. I mean, I know they would sell and I'm sure so do the people at UFC. They are at 55,000 right now. I wouldn't be surprised if they released another batch of 5,000 more tickets to make it 60,000. People will buy them, there's no doubt in my mind about that. If there is more money to be made from this event, then I don't see any reason why they shouldn't do it.
