Wonder what the odds are of a Heyman appearance?
Should make for an interesting season though, and while I am not dismissing Brock's chances at all, if he does beat JDS, I don't think he should get an immediate title shot.

For all the Brock haters out there, you've got to give Brock some serious credit. I mean, he's taking on the BEST heavyweights in the world. He took on Cain Velasquez in which he lost the belt and got whooped and when he comes back he'll be taking on the #1 contender in Junior Dos Santos. He's not sitting back and looking for easy fights. He's taking on the best guys UFC can put his way. For that, he definitely earns my respect. ...not to mention, before Cain he took on Mir again (who had just KO'd Noguiera - and was the only man to have beaten him), and then Carwin (an unbeaten big-hitter and #1 contender). I'll be the first to admit I'm a huge Lesnar fan... I just hate all these elitist MMA "fans" who berate him because of the hype/where he came from and don't give him credit for what he HAS done. Should make for an interesting season though, and while I am not dismissing Brock's chances at all, if he does beat JDS, I don't think he should get an immediate title shot. ...who would you give it to though? There's only really Carwin (if he wins his comeback fight), Mir or possibly Nelson. Dos Santos is unbeaten and the #1 contender - so if Brock did beat him, I think he deserves the title shot.

This is interesting, sure, I'll not be able to see it, but the resultant fight should be very interesting...JDS all the way.

I haven't said too much real hate toward Lesnar. I actually like him. He's got great potential and I love his little gimmick he plays. I just think he was pushed WAY too hard to the top and was VERY untested, which was proven in the Carwin fight and then again in the Cain fight. If he trained with REAL guys instead of guys who say "Yes, sir" to whatever he says, maybe he'll learn a bit more. I think he HONESTLY gave in to the whole "Baddest Man on the Planet" thing and he really thought he was. He is a victim of marketing to some people, that's what it comes down to. If he wasn't pushed so hard into the UFC title picture, and worked his way up, people would respect him more.
With that being said, I am looking forward to seeing him on TUF.

Awesome to know that Lesnar is one of em, anyone know the date for the first episode? First episode will be March 30th barring any setbacks. No UFN to lead in either, as Fight Night 24 is on the 26th which is a Saturday.

I agree he was very untested and pushed hard - but on the other hand, it wasn't really his fault. When the UFC were looking for someone to fight Couture (after his lengthy absence) for the title, the Mir Vs Nogueira TUF series/fight was already in place and there weren't really any other stand-out contenders. Lesnar was coming off a great win over Heath Herring and was the obvious choice marketing wise - and he proved the move was a good one by beating Couture (and then Mir). I do hope Brock's camp are working on his stand-up - get him used to being hit... really him up in training (so to speak), so come fight time he'll be more prepared.

Great, because we all know that putting a guy that has little experience & wilts when getting punched in the face Man, I am getting tired of hearing crap like that. "Wilts when getting punched in the face"...Give me a ing break. First off Brock has a solid chin, and second, look who's throwing those punches at Brock. Shane Carwin with his XXXXXL meat-hooks, and Cain Velasquez a vicious and deadly striker with pin-point accuracy. Anybody would wilt when getting punched in the face by those guys, so don't try and single Brock out and make it sound like he can't take a punch because he certainly can. He took ALOT of them from the toughest and baddest guys out there. You make it sound like he fell down after taking one punch to the face, which is total bullsh*t. He took a beating in the Carwin fight and came back to win and took another beating in the Cain fight and lost. Brock is ALOT tougher than you make it sound. Give him the credit he deserves.

Couture vs. Fabricio Werdum should have been the main event at UFC 91, and Lesnar should have faced newcomer Junior Dos Santos at UFC 90. Werdum was coming off 2 big finishing wins over 2 real tough guys, while Lesnar was 1-1, with one loss by submission and couldn't even finish Herring (who was just coming off a split decision win over Kongo). But, we all know what happened with that.

I also can't get over how quick Lesnar just gets a #1 contendership fight. I can't remember the last time a fighter was brutally TKO'ed or Submitted and lost his belt, and was immediately given a fight like this without having to work their way up.

This doesn't make sense at all. Unless Dana is hoping that Brock can beat JDS and thus go on to rematch Cain for the title. Being a big Brock fan, I still don't like this. I would much rather have seen Frank Mir and Brock as coaches. And if Brock thought that he took an beating by Cain, he has no idea what JDS is gonna do to him. I think Lesnar doesn't have many fights left on his contract so Dana is going to milk him for all he is worth. Then assume he gets demolished by JDS on his way out which will make him look bad for other promotions. That being said, I do hope JDS crushes as he is the only person that needs to fight for the HW title right now.

But, we all know what happened with that. I suppose Werdum should probably have got the title shot... but you can't really blame them for going with Lesnar - there was huge interest around him and they wanted a big fight for Couture's first fight back. And UFC is a business... it definitely made more business-sense to put on Couture/Lesnar. I also can't get over how quick Lesnar just gets a #1 contendership fight. I can't remember the last time a fighter was brutally TKO'ed or Submitted and lost his belt, and was immediately given a fight like this without having to work their way up. Mir was given the interim-title shot against Carwin, after being beaten-up by Lesnar... he had one fight back (against Kongo) and then the title-shot. At least Lesnar would have fought the unbeaten/No.1 contender before getting the shot. I know it might seem like they're favoring Brock for the sake of good business - but on the other hand, who would you put in with Dos Santos for an official no.1 contender's match? Brock is still ranked the No.2 or 3 heavyweight on most websites... some (Sherdog, MMAMania) even have him above Santos.

Mir's fight after beating Kongo. I would feel way better if they had Lesnar get a win first, then be put into a #1 contender fight. But whatever. Brock is a draw, I know this. I just wish they would treat him like any other fighter, but thats easier said than done.
I would have done Lesnar/Nogueira and then done Carwin/Dos Santos, but thats just me.

Well, at least we can say if Lesnar beats JDS, he earned his rematch with an impressive victory, and if JDS wins, it's yet another feather in his cap. I'm really looking forward to this fight. If Lesnar can shoot in and get the takedown, we know how good his wrestling can be, and his ground and pound, but the big question is if he can score some takedowns on JDS, Lesnar can take a lot of punishment, but he needs to improve his stand up defense a lot to be able to hang in there with some of these guys. But I believe that after the pummelling Carwin laid on him in the first round of their fight, and after the fight with Cain, I'm willing to bet the stand up game has become Brock's main training focus, especially now going against Dos Santos. We'll just have to see how much he can improve in that area.
