Very happy to see this back, great roster layout. Still pulling for The Colony or The American Wolves to win this thing.

| Night 2 - 4/16/11 |
1) Team Michinoku (Great Sasuki, Jinsei Shinzaki & Dick Togo) defeated. The Osirian Portal (Amasis, Hieracon & Ophidian) via pinfall following the Diving Senton by Dick Togo on Amasis 2) Kenny Omega defeated. Jerry Lynn, Helios & Mike Sydal via pinfall following a roll up counter on Jerry Lynn 3) The Dark Army (Obariyon, Kodama & Kobald) defeated. Order of the Incoherent Solar Temple (Fightmare, Hallowicked & UltraMantis Black via pinfall following the Backstabber/Diving DDT cobination on UltraMantis Black 4) Eddie Kingston defeated Mike Knox via pinfall following the Backfist to the Future/Siato Suplex combination 5) The Colony (Fire Ant, Soldier Ant & Green Ant) defeated. Kamikaze USA (Shingo Takagi, Yamato & Gran Akuma) via pinfall following the Ant Hill from the top rope on Yamato 6) TJ Perkins defeated. Pinkie Sanchez, Marshe Rocket & Zack Sabre Jr via pinfall following the 450 Splash on Pinkie Sanchez 7) 123 Kid defeated. Kota Ibushi via pinfall following the X Factor from the top rope 8) Thunder & Lightning (Mike Quackenbush, Jigsaw & Jushin Liger) defeated. The American Wolves (Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards & Kyle O'Reilly) via pinfall following the Liger Bomb on Eddie Edwards.1 - King of Trios Quarter-Final) Team Michinoku Pro defeated. The Osirian Portal - King of Trios night 2 kicks off with Quarter-Final action in the biggest tournament of the year, as Amasis, Hieracon & Ophidian of the Osirian Portal took on DICK Togo, Great Sasuke & Jinsei Shinzaki of Team Michinoku Pro. Fast paced back n forth action that included several comical moments, where for the second night in a row, Great Sasuke attempted the swanton bomb while his opponent was sitting in a chair, but once again, his opponent, in this case, Hieracon, moved out of the way, sending Sasuke crashing through the chair. The match eventually came to an end with Michinoku Pro each hitting their special moves on Amasis, Togo finishing it all off with a diving senton to pick up the victory.
2 - Rey de Voladores Semi-Final) Kenny Omega defeated. Jerry Lynn, Mike Sydal & Helios - The tournament within a tournament (Chikaraception!) kicked off with the first of two four way dances taking place tonight. Mike Sydal and Helios would be the first two eliminated leaving Kenny Omega and Jerry Lynn to go at it for the remainder of the match. The finish eventually arrived with Omega surprising Jerry Lynn by countering the Cradle Piledriver attempt in to a bridged pin out of no where to get the three count.
3 - King of Trios Quarter-Final) The Dark Army defeated. The Order of the Incoherent Solar Temple - Quarter-Final Action continues in the King of Trios tournament with Kodama, Obariyon & Kobald of the Dark Army taking on rivals, Frightmare, Hallowicked & UltraMantis Black of the Order of the Incoherent Solar Temple. The first real story driven match of the show as The Dark Army was initially UltraMantis Black’s until they were stolen from him by Sinn Bohdi. Sinn made an appearance during the match distracting UltraMantis Black allowing Obariyon & Kodama to hit the Backstabber/Diving DDT combination to pick up the victory.
4 - Singles Match) Eddie Kingston defeated. Mike Knox - The first singles match of the evening and it’s a first time ever that only Chikara could bring you. A slow brawl to start off but things picked up near the middle and end with Knox nearly picking up the victory following a running boot to the face, quickly followed up with the Knox Out, but Kingston managed to kick out. The match continued and Eddie Kingston eventually picked up the victory following a Backfist to the Future, which only stunned Knox, but the momentum turned him around, allowing Kingston to hit the Siato Suplex.
5 - King of Trios Quarter-Final) The Colony defeated. Kamikaze USA - Gran Akuma stuck around to support his Kamikaze USA team-mates, Shingo Takagi & Yamato. This was probably the hardest hitting match for the Colony yet as Kamikaze USA kicked the hell out of them. The Colony didn’t back down though and began to deliver their own beating to Kamikaze USA, hitting their usual spots and the two trios put together a fun match, The finish eventually arrived with The Colony hitting a top rope version of The Ant Hill on Yamato to pick up the victory and advance to the Semi-Finals.
6 - Rey de Voladores Semi-Final) TJ Perkins defeated. Zack Sabre Jr, Marshe Rocket & Pinkie Sanchez - The second semi-final match for the Rey de Voladores tournament, and it was just as fast paced as the earlier match. The BdK referee, Derek Sabato was the official for the match, giving Pinkie Sanchez the early advantage and ultimately leading to both Zack Sabre Jr and Marshe Rocket being eliminated from the match. Eventually, Director of Fun, Wink Vavasseur made an appearance and did the “I’m watching you” motion towards Derek Sabato, This led to TJ Perkins hitting the 450 splash on Pinkie Sanchez, and Derek Sabato was forced to deliver the three count.
7 - Singles Match) 123 Kid defeated. Kota Ibushi - Once again, a match only Chikara could deliver to the fans, the land of 1st time ever dream encounters. The crowd were fairly mixed during the entire match chanting “Let’s go Kota, Let’s go Kid” Kid kept up with the young Kota Ibushi and the two put on a classic back n forth encounter. Eventually, the action led to the top rope where it looked like Kota was going to attempt the Frankensteiner only for Kid to grab Kota by the head and slam him down to the canvas with an X-Factor from the top rope. Kid would hook the leg and get the three count. Following the bell, Kota would bow to Kid but Kid told him no, and instead bowed to Kota. Kid started a “kota” chant and the chikara fans joined in.
Main Event - King of Trios Quarter-Final) Thunder & Lightning defeated. The American Wolves - The final match of the evening was underway as Kyle O’Reilly joins his trainer, Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards as the third American Wolf to take on “Lightning” Mike Quackenbush, Jigsaw & Jushin “Thunder” Liger. The crowd were going insane for this fantastic encounter that could quite possibly be Match of the Year. Back n forth action with near fall, after near fall, after near fall. The match neared thirty minutes and was coming to a close when Eddie Kingston walked down to the entrance ramp. Davey Richards took notice of Kingston coming down and immediately jumped off the ring apron, tackling Kingston down to the ground. Chaos erupted in the ring, but eventually the match came to an end with Jushin Liger hitting the Liger Bomb on Eddie Edwards to pick up the victory. Following the match, all wrestlers involved, separated Davey Richards and Eddie Kingston. Quack, Jigsaw & Edwards rolled Richards in to the ring and let him go when he got his head clear. Richards asked for the mic and said that it looks like Richards has a free night tomorrow so lets make it official, Davey Richards vs. Eddie Kingston for night 3 of King of Trios. Kingston who was still erratic on the outside of the ring just screamed, “who cares about tomorrow, lets do this now” but the screen fades to black as Night 2 comes to an end.

Liking the layout Hammers, didn't expect the Portal to go out, liking all four in the king of the flippies, Omega winning seems the right call since he's the best, I'd like to see Sydal booked more or even regulally, boo at the Dark Army winning I wanted Incoherence and Mantis to win the whole thing, loving Knox/Kingston, Kingston going over is good and so was the ending, Colony winning is a good call but I'd easily put Kamikaze team over the Michinoku Pro team, great to see TJ win and go to the finals but I'm sure you should have put a Chikara guy in the final, book Sabre more please, f'n love the Waltman/Kota match and Waltman being a pro at the end putting Ibushi over, Loving the six-man tag bit sad about the ending not being clean but it does mean we get an epic Richards/Kingston match. Can't wait for night 3 now esp with that match announced. Good luck and keep this up.

Chikara: As you requested, I'll give replying to this a go. I have no idea who either of these Team's are but I like the sound of a King of Trio's tournament. Sounded like a solid opening match. Recognise all the names in this season match. Omega going over was mildly surprising but I did enjoy that, I'd like to see him do well in the final. Another trio's match here which I don't really know of. I like that your spacing out the trios matches, good way to go about it to make sure it doesn't become an overkill. Backstabber/Diving DDT combination sounds sick though I'm not sure how it would work unless it was done one after the other, maybe I'm just confused. Kingston vs. Knox is an odd match up but I liked it. I'm glad Kingston went over there, definitely the better choice of the two though you could definitely put Knox over as a total monster. Finally a trio I know of, the Colony. I love the Ant's, amazing gimmicks so I'm glad they went over on this occasion, I'd like to see them do well. TJ Perick and Zack Sabre Jr are the only ones I recognise here so I'm happy Perkins went over. Omega vs. Perkins sounds like a great match for the final and I honestly don't mind who goes over. Great match with Waltman against Kota, the name 123 Kid sometimes puts me off because it reminds me of that WF Poster who made of picture of Sean Waltman kissing one of the female members, haha. Anyway, 123KID going over is cool here. I liked the show of respect after the match. Lastly good main event with a fairly evenly matched bout. I would've prefered to see The American Wolves come out with the victory but Thunder and Lightning are a good choice too since American Wolves are successful elsewhere. I liked the delevopment of storyline in the main event too with Kingston distracting The Wolves. Richards vs. Kingston sounds great for Night 3. Great show, I'm surprised I enjoyed it as much as I did, seeing as I have never seen a Chikara event, only clips of Chuck Taylor scaring children.

| Night 3 - 4/17/11 |

1-King of Trios Semi-Final) The Colony defeated. The Dark Army – The third and final night of King of Trios is underway with King of Trios semi-final action as Fire Ant, Soldier Ant & Green Ant of The Colony take on Obariyon, Kodama & Kobald of Sinn Bohdi’s Dark Army. Back n forth action from the very beginning to kick off the show with both trios looking strong throughout. The match eventually came to an end with The Colony hitting the Ant Hill from the top rope, Fire Ant crashing down on Kobald to pick up the victory.
2-Singles Match) Sinn Bohdi defeated. UltraMantis Black – As you could imagine, this was a much slower match than the previous, yet the crowd still seemed to be in to it. UltraMantis Black is fast becoming the crowd’s favourite in Chikara and his feud with Sinn Bohdi over the Dark Army and Eye of Tyr has been entertaining. One of the shorter matches on the card, which was more of a brawl than anything, and eventually came to an end with Sinn rolling Black up and holding on to the pants to get the sneaky 3 count. Following the bell, The Dark Army hit the ring to attack UltraMantis who was quickly trying to attack Bohdi following the loss. Hallowicked & Frightmare hit the ring to make the save.
3-Tag Team Gauntlet) Da Soul Touchaz - Acid Jaz & Willie Richardson Incoherence - Frightmare & Hallowicked American Wolves - Eddie Edwards & Kyle O'Reilly RockNES Monsters - Johnny Yuma & Johnny Goodtime FIST - Johnny Gargano & Chuck Taylor Kamikaze USA - Shingo Takagi & Yamato Unstable - Vin Gerard & STIGMA BDK - Lince Dorado & Pinkie Sanchez 3.0 - Scott Parker & Shane Matthews Throwbacks - Sugar Dunkerton & Dasher Hatfield
The final two teams came down to American Wolves who were on 2 points after eliminating 3.0 and Throwbacks, and Kamikaze USA, who also had two points after eliminating FIST and Unstable. So the winning team will have the 3 points needed to challenge for Campeonatos de Parejas. After a hard hitting back n forth bout between the final two, Eddie Edwards locked in the Achilles Hold on Yamato who had no choice but to tap out.
4-King of Trios Semi-Final) Thunder & Lightning defeated. Michinoku Pro – The second Semi-Final King of Trios match gets underway with what was probably the dream match of the entire weekend as Mike Quackenbush, Jigsaw & Jushin Thunder Lyger took on Dick Togo, Jinsei Shinzaki & Great Sasuki. The match featured a bit of everything from great submission wrestling, high flying and even a few comedy spots, with it being pretty obvious, all six men were really enjoying themselves. The match eventually ended with a running Lyger Bomb from Jushin Lyger to Jinsei Shinzaki to pick up the three count and advance to the finals.
5-Rey de Voladores Final) Kenny Omega defeated. TJ Perkins – The finals were underway for the tournament within the tournament as Kenny Omega took on TJ Perkins, in the “King of the High Flyers” As you would expect, this was extremely fast paced throughout with both men getting in a lot of awesome looking offense in, that was making the crowd flip out. The match eventually came to an end with both men heading to the top rope, battling back n forth, only for Kenny Omega to gain momentum and connect with the Avalanche Croyt’s Wrath, making the crowd flip out, and getting the three count in the process. Following the bell, the award ceremony took place with Kenny Omega being given the Rey de Voladores champion trophy.
6-Singles Match) El Generico defeated. 1 2 3 Kid – This was just another dream match that only Chikara Pro could bring to the fans. Sean Waltman has been on a role the entire weekend with great matches and the crowd were really enjoying his stuff. A great back n forth match that had several awesome spots which included Kid hitting the X Factor from the top rope, shockingly only getting the 2 count, as well as El Generico suddenly taking a tooth pick out of his tights and flicking it in to the crowd before hitting the Razor’s Edge on Kid. The match continued for several more minutes before El Generico eventually hit the Yakuza Kick in the corner, quickly following it up with the devastating top rope Brainbuster, which was enough to put The Kid away. Following the bell, Generico helped Waltman up to his feet and shook his hand before leaving the ring, allowing Kid to give a speech. He says he’s had a great weekend and just when he thought the fire inside that is his love for pro wrestling, was going dim, Chikara threw a canister of fuel on top, relighting it. He thanks everyone for one of the best shows of his career and leaves the ring.
7-Singles Match) Eddie Kingston defeated. Davey Richards – If there was ever a stiff match you’d want to sit down, watch and scream “ouch” every other minute, this would be it. Kingston and Richards, punched, kicked and generally just beat the living hell out of each other for the entire match. The match had been building up for several months and the tension was clearly showing, while this match was going on, not even Claudio Castagnoli was on the mind of Eddie Kingston. After several near falls with it seeming like neither man was going to stay down for the thee count, Davey went for a final rush of fury, kicking Eddie continuously in the chest, over and over again. Kingston suddenly screamed, span around and connected with the backfist to the future, following it up with not one, not two but three Backdrop Drivers, and even following that up with the Sliding D, putting Davey Richards away once and for all. Following the bell, Claudio Castagnoli and Ares make their first appearance of the weekend, attacking Eddie Kingston, who at this point can’t fight back from being so tired. Just when it looked like Kingston was down and out, Davey Richards shockingly came to Kingston’s rescue, kicking Ares hard in the head, sending him out of the ring, ducking under a Claudio clothesline attempt and giving him a kick to the head of his own. The BDK leaders retreat as Kingston and Richards stare down before Richards offers his hand. Kingston does nothing but following a “shake his hand” chant from the crowd, Kingston finally shakes it and the crowd pop.
Main Event-King of Trios Final) The Colony defeated. Thunder & Lightning – The finals were finally here for the King of Trios tournament. Before the match went under way, Director of Fun, Wink Vavasseur made his way to the ring with the trophy and a photo took place with both trios posing beside Wink who was holding the trophy. The match was underway and the crowd were torn between the two trios straight from the beginning. Colony who should have won the tournament last year only to be screwed over by the BDK brought their A game and were on fire from the start but the dream tandem of Quackenbush, Jigsaw & Lyger fought back strong and what took place was a brilliant back n forth match that really could of went either way. The match was drawing to an end as Quackenbush had Green Ant locked in the Chikara Special. It seemed like Green Ant was about to tap out but his comrade, Fire Ant made the save, delivering the super kick to Mike, quickly following it up with the Beach Break. Quack quickly rolled out of the ring to activate the tag, allowing Jigsaw to become the legal man and after a few minutes of action, The Ant Hill from the top rope was enough to put Jigsaw away, and The Colony were crowned King of Trios 2011 champions! Following the bell, confetti began to fall and the celebration was under way as Professional Wrestling’s #1 tournament came to an end for another year.

KingofTriosNight2: Ah, I remember this, infact, I was your last reply. The Colony going over is great to kick things off followed by Sinn Bohdi's win. Good booking there as a win for UltraMantis would've has Bohdi's Dark Army look a little weaker if both him and the rest of his stable had lost in succession. Nice touch to have the Army attacking Mantis, makes them look more brutal. The tag guantlet looks enjoyable, Incoherence's previous save gives them momentum going into this. Ah, good win for the American Wolves, definitely the strongest team in the Guantlet so good booking there. Thunger and Lightning going over was the right choice, since I'm more familiary with them. Omega over Perkins is good, these names are starting to sound a bit more familiar. Omega is a good choice for the winner. Sean Waltman putting over Generico is great, a good choice as Generico is one of my favourites on the idependent scene at the moment. Kingston and Richards would have been a great match and you made it sound pretty importany. Kingston and Richards teaming after the bell is a very good touch, as was the handshake, it just adds to the match. Finally, good main event for the King of Trio's final and I wouldn't have minded which team won in the end though the Colony are a very unique team so I'm happy you had them win. Great show again, sorry I couldn't give anything constructive but I don't know too much about Chikara but your shows are always well-written and I enjoy them anyway.
