I had heard so much about it that I think my expectations were too high. It was ok but nothing I thought was great.

If you're complaining about the story, then you cleary should be watching in the first place. In a day and age when we are given overrated pieces of sh** like Avatar, it's great where we can get a true action movie. Let me guess, the same people bitching about this didn't like Rambo either? Seriously remove your balls!

Before i saw it i thought the cast was amazing and thats what made me want to see it but seeing how most of them barely had any  ing air time, it was disappointing. I still enjoyed the movie, but I also found myself really upset about this. It was pretty ridiculous to hype up the movie with all those names, only to quietly push most of them to the sidelines early on in favor of just Stallone and Statham. |

Only thing that annoyed me about it is that it wasn't violent enough. Really, it was pretty tame.

To say that the movie had no plot would be giving it too much credit. I might even go so far as to say it had a negative plot. As I watched it, stuff un-happened.

Ticket prices are at the highest they have EVER been. Especially when you're selling more expensive 3D and IMAX tickets for it, plus releasing an extended cut to theaters. |

There's nothing special (in my opinon) about that film regardless of how many people liked it. |

Expendables was highly overrated on this forum, i remember making a thread for it, within a few hours it was stickied at the top of the board, name changed to GREATEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME. Every comment praising a film that wouldnt be released for another 2 weeks. so overrated yeah.

Who gives a if the story sucked? THATS NOT WHAT THE MOVIE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT. It was supposed to be the greatest 1980's-2000 action movie stars all getting together, blowing crap up, and shooting a ton of people. If you wanted a good story or plot, watch a different movie. Its amazing that people go see an action movie for a ing 5 star plot. You want that, go watch a Drama movie. when i saw it in the theaters, i said, i wanna go see a movie today where crapgets blown up and people get shot.......and i got exactly what i wanted |

Movie ruled. It was exactly what I expected and I'm happy for that. It befuddles me the amount of people who think every movie has to have oscar award winning acting. Save that for drama, if its action, horror, or comedy dont expect anything more than explosions, guts or jokes. if you are treated to anything more than be thankful but dont make it an industry standard.

When Star Wars was in theaters tickets were $2 Star Wars is still the most viewed movie of all time and with inflation added it more than doubles Avatar's gross, just from the USA alone. I have always figured 3D was a conspiracy by the movie industry to push lackluster films out the door and charge 3x as much therefor making the film look like it did 3x better than it actually did. |

I thought it was alright, like peole said the script and acting was average but it's action, action don't cry when giving a 30 minute speach about homeless people that can win an oscar (this doesn't refer to a film, i think). Same with Avatar really, the script would be great for a Disney kids film but 3D and media hype made it more.
Enjoyed Expendables way more than Avatar but I wont buy either of them on DVD, I may rent Expendables again though.
