Wait - did anyone see this movie under the impression that it was anything but a tongue-in-cheek, self aware homage to the action movies of the 80's and 90's? Get this man a prize. We have a winner! Seriously, the movie has an INTENTIONALLY mediocre plot, INTENTIONALLY mediocre acting. Did ANY of the films starring any of those guys EVER have award winning plots or acting? That's the POINT. If you don't get that, obviously you won't like the movie. Enjoy it for what it was. A tribute; and a  ING FANTASTIC ONE AT THAT. THAT'S IT. THIS |

I just watched this movie for the first time as well. I didnt want to watch it but my WIFE of all people did, so I rented it.
I knew that with that cast there would be no story going in but even knowing this I expected to see something decent. Most of the 80's 90's films in which Stallone/Arnie/Willis/Dolph were in had decent storys. But wow did this movie Suck. I watched about 15 mins and then stopped. It made no sense to me what so ever. There was no plot. You dont find out what is going on till about 1 hr into the film.
Jet Lee?
I've never been a Jet Lee fan.
Terry Crews?
The guy who wanted to rape Money Mike? Chris Rock's daddy from the show? Cheese burger Eddie? He was wrongly cast here. Terry is more of a comedy guy IMO.
Randy Coture?
Randy was the biggest waste of screen IMO. He is a vaguely famous guy for UFC fights not movies. He was cast for his............. lol I dont know?
Even with those complaints they are nothing. 80% of the movie focuses on Stallone and that Euro guy who I've never seen before.
I Didnt like this movie one bit but to be fair to the movie, it was telling me it sucked in the previews so I cant really blame the movie for my wife making me watch it.

TRW should ban anyone who has anything negative about this movie. Seriously, if you dont leave the theater with sticky underwear then you should question your sexuality and go fondle yourself while watching Twilight.
For God sakes, 10 men nearly turned Slappy straight......Figure that out?

I enjoyed The Expendables alot. It's chillin with the rest of my Blu Ray collection. If there is an extended cut of it coming out this year, I'll buy that one too.

I enjoyed The Expendables alot. It's chillin with the rest of my Blu Ray collection. If there is an extended cut of it coming out this year, I'll buy that one too. Its in the middle of my collection as well. Sandwiched between the Rocky Collection, Rambo Collection, Die Hard Collection, Crank Collection and Transporter Collection....oh and the Ateam is in there too. |

nope Sallone has said as recently as November that Rambo is finished.the studio wanted another but they ended up agreeing with him on The Expendables instead.Stallone said now that Rambo has finally got home he is staying there
as far as I know Rocky Balboa was always intended to be his swan song for Balboa.

I heard that he put Rambo more on the back burner until he saw how Expendables did. He said if it was a hit (which it was) that he was going to do 1 or 2 sequels with that instead of Rambo. Seeing as how they're both closely related he wanted his new project to be able to stand alone but that a 5th Rambo was still possible. Its in the middle of my collection as well. I refuse to own a PG-13 Die Hard movie. The A-Team is a decent movie as long as you dont go into it comparing it to the tv show. If you think about the show the whole time, you'll be pissed. Ive only see the 1st and 3rd Die Hard Movies and since it was a box set I just went ahead and bought them all. I will say this Crank 1 and 2 may be some of the dumbest movies Ive ever seen. There's a bit of action and great/hilarious sex scenes but really they're pretty terrible. |
