Nah, Dana said at the Press Conference that it's Silva/GSP at Middleweight next should GSP beat Shields and come out healthy. So it's safe to say Dana wants Georges to win this one. Now let's say hypothetically Shields wins, then what does Anderson do? Okami? Most likely. Only make sense.

Wow...a few wrong there, but never doubted Silva for a second, as much I like Vitor. Who can beat Silva? I've certainly got no idea.

If Silva moved up I'm sure Dana would want it to be against a top tier contender and I doubt Silva would do that. Not at a different weight class.

At 205 I could see him getting the loser of Rampage/Silva.
Maybe Evans if he gets better quickly.

As soon as Shogun won the Light Heavyweight title, Silva stooped talking about fighting at 205. Odd.

Chael Sonnen proved what you need to do to beat Silva (before ultimately losing with 110 seconds to go), and Georges St-Pierre is better than Sonnen at EVERY aspect of the game.

Silva was injured and I am SURE will be working on his wrestling 10x more now that the obvious GSP fight will come about.

I don't think GSP has taken on someone with the reach that Silva has, but then again, anything can happen.

BUT HE WUZ HERT U FANBOI Being an obvious fanboy (and ignoring the statement as it's pure banter), I acknowledge Silva was hurt and believe it had a lot to do with his performance that night. But it still happened. Fighters are injured all the time in fights and still manage to perform to the best of their abilities. GSP tore a groin muscle in the third round against Thiago Alves but continued to take him down with ease in the fourth and fifth rounds. Rich Franklin broke his arm against Chuck Liddell and proceeded to knock him out in the same round. Either way, GSP would just do what Sonnen did, and I'm not saying that based on how much I love Chael. I'm saying it because it's true.

Saying he "lulled Sonnen into a false sense of security regarding his takedowns" by killed for 4 1/2 rounds and almost finished. He got a lucky break when Sonnen's dumbass sat up at the end.

Jones is very impressive. The guy obviously has pretty well-rounded skills but I STILL say his striking is his weakest skill. He moves pretty well, and has a GREAT advantage over everyone just because of his long reach, which I think is going to help him fight anyone as long as he knows how to use it correctly. The issue with this fight that I see is that Jones has NEVER fought someone who works good off their back OR anyone with the jiu-jitsu that Shogun has. Shogun was able to get up easily with Lyoto twice, and knows lots of submission techniques off his back. ALSO, Shogun is the first pure striker that Jones has faced. Jones has pretty much faced nothing but wrestlers, and no strikers. That leads me to believe Shogun will win either by Submission or KO. That does not mean that the fight will be easy for him. I just think it's a little too early for Jones, and I think he should of fought someone like Rampage before getting a title shot.

Silva was working that triangle the entire fight. Has nothing to do with luck. If you trained in jiu-jitsu, you would know that it's pretty much 100% based on choosing the right time to attack, especially from the bottom position, since it's a lot harder to pull off submissions with your legs.

I wouldn't say entire fight, but definitely rounds 2, 4 and 5. I watch this fight over and over and over, and he's definitely looking for submissions in those rounds.

So why couldn't he get it on him in the 1st? Why wait? Or the 2nd? The 3rd? 4th? Because he wasn't given an opening. He got a lucky break, and yes it was lucky for him because he was loosing completely up to that point, when Sonnen sat up. Did I say the move was lucky? No, I was fully aware of what he was doing throughout the entire fight, I noted the wrist control from the first 5 seconds on the ground to the end. Sonnen gave him the opening with the time to spare when all of Silva's hope was out the window. Lucky break. Call a spade a spade.
