wait im confused ( im new so dont get mad) what are the clasifieds ? i looked all over and didnt find them? What do u do on there? do u sell figures?

While I also hate scammers,imagine how hard it would be for honest members to get to a 1,000. Heck,I'm on here constantly for over a month yet I barely got less than 300! Maybe a address verifying process sort of thing would be better. As cool as Yerp is I'm against that idea  . Sorry but I have 3 good refs and I don't post that much so it would take me forever to get to 1000 posts. Sorry again yerp. hmmm didnt think it thru.......well then! i can susgest this! mods should still do the post change......too 500 atleast... aswell....any new members starting at FEB2011 & SO ON NEED TOO DO 1,000POST TOO GAIN ACCESS...... PAIN & SIMPLE!!! The problem with that, is that the Admins can't fix it to where only people who signed up prior to Feb 2011 can get into the classifieds. IF they were to change the amount of posts you need to get in, it would be across the board. This guy has been on here multiple times and he gets caught everytime. Just be careful trading, espeically with someone who is new and report anything suspicious to Chip, he's there to help and always reports anything suspicious. |

Even if the post count change doesn't become official... you could always say to yourself "I will only trade with people with X amount of posts."

I'm sorry....but there seems to be an entire rash of these types of trades going on. I am hearing these stories and all I can think is the person getting ripped off is being so damn ignorant!
Jesus Christ man.....how can someone lie about their refs?! They either have them or they dont. Thats why we have a trade reference thread.
Secondly, the guy had 58 posts......isnt that enough of a HUGE red flag that he should be sending first. Your not brand new to WFigs. And the sending at the same time is freaking intellectually- disabled. The rules of the classifieds is simple...."he who has less refs, sends first. PERIOD." Follow it and I guarantee that you will be ripped off less than 1% of the time.
The classifieds board and its rules work. Follow them and you wont get screwed out of money or figures. Dont let people bully you or sell you on why they should be trusted. If they are that honest, they should have no issue with sending first to someone who already has a track record of WFigs. I dont want to hear about your ebay transactions, some other board's classifieds or anything else. WFigs trades are the only measurement here on WFigs.

Agreed with all but the 18 year old thing...i on one hand am not 18 but i am 14 and 13 is the age you must be to join so i say as long as your old enough to sign up for this website then you should be able to access the classidieds oh and i say 500 instead of 100 because 100 is way too easy like 50 |

I wish you well, but those sort of things are nothing but red tape with usually nothing to show for it. He tried to pull that "send same day" crap with me the other day too. I'm all for trying to weed out bad traders, but making it hard for honest guys who don't have time to post a whole lot would kinda suck.

I'm glad I never tried to trade with this guy. I have 12 refs on here, 2 more on the way, and possibly another 2. I hate hearing about this guy that keeps coming back and scamming people. It's crazy! This guy is like a horror film for figure traders  |

I would agree with the 500 post minumum thing, these sorts of things put me off classifieds a bit, I want to use them but if I do, would only go with people with refs and as I'd be new I would send first with evidence of sending.
Maybe someone should put a vote thing on with yes or no or 500 post count.

I like the idea of 500 posts, age limits and being a member for at least a certain amount of months. I agree with Brady-Stopper though. Anyone who pulls this "send the same day" crap is obviously trying to screw you. If you follow the rules, everything should work out alright.

I only trade with well standing members unless that person is willing to send first. Ive got around 90+ refs, if you dont have more then me then Im not sending my stuff first. No ifs, ands or butts. |

Hey guys, I just read through this thread and all I've got to say for now is that we are on top of this guy and every account he's made.
As far as the post count thing, I'm going to look into it, with the recent wave of bad traders & time wasters in addition to this scammer, maybe it's time to increase the post count.
500 seems too high since there may be many members who are legit & been here awhile but just don't post alot...perhaps 100 or 200.
The best thing I can say to any new traders is to search the Bad Traders list before trading, and use your best judgement when trading with new members, and always feel free to report suspicious activity.
