Beware of a scammer,itstime/Alberto Del Rio

I'm sorry....but there seems to be an entire rash of these types of trades going on. I am hearing these stories and all I can think is the person getting ripped off is being so damn ignorant!

Jesus Christ man.....how can someone lie about their refs?! They either have them or they dont. Thats why we have a trade reference thread.

Secondly, the guy had 58 posts......isnt that enough of a HUGE red flag that he should be sending first. Your not brand new to WFigs. And the sending at the same time is freaking intellectually- disabled. The rules of the classifieds is simple...."he who has less refs, sends first. PERIOD." Follow it and I guarantee that you will be ripped off less than 1% of the time.

The classifieds board and its rules work. Follow them and you wont get screwed out of money or figures. Dont let people bully you or sell you on why they should be trusted. If they are that honest, they should have no issue with sending first to someone who already has a track record of WFigs. I dont want to hear about your ebay transactions, some other board's classifieds or anything else. WFigs trades are the only measurement here on WFigs.

Plain and simple, dont trade with people who are new and have no record of successful trades. and never...EVER agree to send at the same time or send first to a newb.

Bad news is,I think he had extra accounts. I see one right now that seems a bit suspicous. Be on the lookout everybody.

this is gonna be a really dumb question but how exactly do i get refs? ive had a decent amount of successful deals thru here but i dont think i actually have any refs. i dont really deal on here too much unless its for parts customs or Ralph (i like to order from Ralph thru here so i can ask stuff if i need to). also i try to sell my older figures thru here.

If you have completed those deals and still have access to the thread and it isn't locked that means Chip/Goldust haven't seen it so you don't have any refs. If you want to check if you have any go to the Good traders list and look for your name (original username you signed up with) and if you dont find it you might want to bump your old trade threads that haven't had refs added to them or try messaging Goldust or Chip with the links to the threads and asking if they would add them for you.

we aren't increasing post counts. all that will lead to is the potential scammers just waiting longer.
yes to get refs you HAVE to have a trade thread. No thread means no refs & no penalties.
Even if you can't get the other member to reply, at least make a thread and save your PMs.

The best thing I can tell all of you is to be wary of dealing with new members, and report ANY suspicious activity to myself or the other Classifieds mods.
All this info can be found in the Rules thread on the Classifieds, which I get the feeling alot of people don't read.

if this is supposedly the same person doing this over and over again... can you ip ban them? that way they are locked outta here. unless they do somewhere else ... im a mod on an other board and we have had to do that to people over there... so i dont know if that could work here or not..
