geez everybody is so detailed on here... Back circa '89 when Flair and Steamboat had their classics it was referred to the NWA World Heavyweight Championship belt wasn't it? What we know as the WHC belt was the "the big gold belt" as well as the WCW International belt, and before that it was simply the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. No need to split hairs, you know what I'm talking about. You are 100% right about it being the NWA title at that time. Also, what was the Steamboat in green that everyone is referring to, did I miss something? Steamboat is an absolute must have for me. Triple H probably will be as well but I would like to see it in person or at least pictures first. Steamboat wore green tights at Chi-Town Rumble 89 when he beat Ric Flair for the title in what many call the greatest match of all time.

That's kinda the bad thing about getting rid of the Entrance Greats line and calling this one Defining Moments. A lot of people, including myself, would love a figure of "The Dragon" from 1991. Unfortunately he never had a "Defining Moment" during that time. A WrestleMania III figure would be great, but it would kind of be a repaint of the L1 figure and that would be better in a 2-pack with Savage. Assume Triple H will be the 2002 return. Where's Bret Hart? SummerSlam '91 is my number one figure want. Yeah, I guess you could make that assumption considering RSC Tom already said that it was gonna be that HHH Attire. I will definately be pre-ordering both.

I will definitely be purchasing both of these. I am especially psyched for the HHH figure. I was at the Raw show in MSG for HHH's return and the place went crazy. I still have my ticket! It was sold out but I got two seats at the box office the day of the event. MSG/WWE would always release extra ringside seats after the tron/stage went up. Those were the days...

I'll get Steamboat but Trips is an easy pass. I wish they had picked something different for Triple H like his old DX attire. If they had done that I would have got it for sure.

Did most of you read? Triple H is in this attire with this description... Triple H (HHH) Defining Moments 3 WWE Toy Wrestling Action Figure by Mattel! Attire from January 7, 2002 Triple H's highly-aniticpated return shows fans "The Game" isn't over After suffering what some perceived to be a career-ending injury 8 months earlier, Triple H made his long-awaited return to WWE on Raw in front of a raucous sellout crowd at Madison Square Garden. In May 2001, "The Game" tore his left quadriceps while defending the World Tag Team Championship with Stone Cold Steve Austin. After several months of extensive rehabilitation, he entered the ring at MSG and surprised fans when he announced plans to compete in the upcoming Royal Rumble. Kurt Angle interrupted Triple H's speech, taunting him and attempting to steal his thunder by announcing his own participation in the Rumble. "The Game" responded by delivering a Pedigree to Angle as the crowd roared its approval. Triple H went on to win the Royal Rumble two weeks later, eliminating Angle last for the victory. The night of Triple H's re-emergence was not only one of the biggest returns in WWE history, but also one of the most pivotal moments in his extensive career. The wildly supportive reaction from the crowd proved that fans were definitely not ready for "The Game" to be over yet. Steamboat is in this attire with this description.... Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat Defining Moments 3 WWE Toy Wrestling Action Figure by Mattel! Dragon Attire from March 30, 1991 "The Dragon" devastates Brooklyn Brawler in his blazing return to WWE" Ricky Steamboat truly personified the aura of a dragon as he entered the ring for his first WWE match in 3 years. Sporting the headdress & wings of the beast, Steamboat climbed to the top rope with unwavering confidence and breathed fire high into the air. "The Dragon" was back. Steamboat had departed WWE back in 1988 to return to the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), where he engaged in several legendary matches against Ric Flair and enjoyed a 3-month reign as NWA Champion. However, he left the NWA again in 1989, leaving fans unsure whether they'd ever see "The Dragon" compete again. Two years later on an episode of Superstars, Steamboat entered the ring a new man, but still with the same awe-inspiring ability of old. "The Dragon" proceeded to launch a seamless attack on his opponent, Brooklyn Brawler. Steamboat overwhelmed the Brawler with his high-flying, aerial arsenal and easily pinned him for the victory. Any doubt fans had about Steamboat's return had disappeared, much to their delight. A new era in "The Dragon's" remarkable career had begun. Where did it show these discriptions? And if it di show them somewhere can you post it? I've seen what Tom said they'd be, but I did see the discriptions anywhere in this thread. Nevermind I just saw it's when you click on the preorders.

I, too, was at the Garden that night. It was a hell of an ovation. I had no plans getting this until I read the description. Now, it's a must-have.

I love how Steamboat's defining moment is returning and beating the Brooklyn Brawler.

If Tom had the figure in hand why can't ringsidr just snap a few pics for us? It would probably help out pre order sales

OMG! OMG! OMG! I am stokkkkked out the wazoo for the Dragon costumed Steamboat! I hope for accuracy's sake if the headress is removable, his hair will be in the ponytail. His hair wasn't in a ponytail in that match...

Bad idea mattel if you expect people to dish out 20-23 bucks for figures. Steamboat will be a major shelf warmer. And trips won't do much better. I don't get why mattel doesn't pay attention to what sells and what doens't.

You are 100% right about it being the NWA title at that time. Also, what was the Steamboat in green that everyone is referring to, did I miss something? Steamboat is an absolute must have for me. Steamboat wore green tights at Chi-Town Rumble 89 when he beat Ric Flair for the title in what many call the greatest match of all time. No I know that but I thought he said something about seeing a Steamboat in green tights with a title belt about a month ago. I didn't know if he was talking about a leaked proto or what because I never heard anything about it? I would prefer the Chi-Town Rumble attire over pretty much any Steamboat attire they could do so I wanted to know the deal.

His hair wasn't in a ponytail in that match... Yes it was. The figure is based on his return on 3/30/91 not the match from August someone else posted. That is the match it's based off, look at the date of the description that I posted. I wish people would read...

Haha, I really wouldn't calling beating the Brooklyn Brawler a "defining moment" but I digress. I'll pass on the HHH but I might pick up a Steamboat to make a custom RA style Dragon.

Eh, I think the title Defining Moments is pretty misleading. It should really be "Moments Where Accessories can Make a Figure We Already Have Produced Look Like It's Worth reBuying At a Higher Price."

I wish people could read and put the term defining moment in perspective. RTDS vs. The Brooklyn Brawler is not the defining moment which is being recognized. The defining moment is RTDS's return to professional wrestling after a two year retirement (in a new attire). The rebirth of the Dragon per se.
For example, a defining moment in Michael Jordans career could be signing with the Washington Wizards after his second retirement and scoring over 20 ppg in his final two seasons in basketball. A person can have many defining moments in his/her career.
Mattel is mixing matches, returns, segments, etc. into the series which, in my opinion, is a good idea. Not every match can be a defining moment.
