A lot of the black wrestler that they have had just don't have that total package. Elijah Burke didn't, but Pope DiAngelo Dinero does Just gotta find something that works for them and see how it flies

yup i agree. rock is black guy but in my mind i feel he is not the black kind. (due to his fairness.) oh ya, thanks to some of you who mention Booker T and lashey. But ECW champion is worthless to me. Even Matt hardy can capture the ECW cahmpionship. Pure Ridiculous. ECW championship road has not much interesting and intense storyline. You realize the rock is half Samoan right?

The Rock, while technically mixed, is technically Samoan and not African American/black. Children 9 times outta 10 are classified on birth certificates and birth records etc, the race of their mother. Rock's mothers race was obviously Samoan, thus technically making Rock Samoan and not Black.
And now you know.

Frankly I'm shocked that Mark Henry never held the WWE or World title.
Ron Simmons should have held the title as well.
Zeke or Kofi may one day hold one of the two.

I, too, am very surprised they never got the WWE title on Mark Henry. Of course in the Attitude Era it was all about Austin/Rock/DX....so no one really had a shot back then.
However Henry could have been a legit force, his ECW title run, heel turn & alignment with Tony Atlas was just awesome, possibly the best stuff of his WWE career. Now, unfortunately, it's too late for him.
I could see Zeke or Kofi holding a World title in the future, though. Kofi has the fan support, the in ring talent & the look for a quick WHC run. Zeke is just a monster and would be an intimidating champion no matter what

The Rock- WHC Booker T - WHC and WCW Ezekiel Jackson - ECW Mark Henry - ECW Bobby Lashley - WHC and ECW R-Truth - NWA-TNA Ron Simmons aka Farooq - WCW
Wehn it comes to championships under the World Title, Black people have held numerous titles: ECW Television Title, ECW Tag Titles, WCW US Title, WCW Television Title, WWE IC Title, WWE US Title, aswell as, IM SURE, a handfull of Indy titles.

Why does it just have to be black? what about spanish and asain?
We've had a few latin champs, Rey, Eddie, Kane, hoping Del Rio gets the strap this year.

There's been 2 Asian champions (Yokozuna and The Rock) and 1 hispanic/spanish champions (Eddie.....I think Kane is kinda pushing it, I know he was born in Spain but I dont think either of his parents are of spanish decent). Whereas there's never been an African American WWE Champion. The WWE Championship is the oldest title dating back to 1963 and has yet to have 1 black champion. Even "redneck" WCW had 2 Black champions.

Kane?Hispanic?by that is pushing it. at the moment WWEs best chance for a black champ is Jackson.but they have chosen to let him speak-big mistake.the minute he opens his mouth any physical threat he represents is wiped out. if they put him with a good mouthpiece though....itd be on IMO.

I would have loved to Seen Booker T as the WWE champion. Yeah him as World Champ was awesome but being WWE Champ is a little bit better...Oh well I can just hope that Kofi Wins the WWE title some day

im really not sure y there are so few champions of minority decent (dont know a better way to say it). i dont think its a racism thing but im not sure wat it is. i think lashley was on track to become a major champion but then again from wat i remember he said he quit because people at the top were trying to keep him down. i think kofi has a chance of being a major champion although i see him in a similar situation as morrison. wwe likes them both but doesnt seem sure if they wanna put them on top.
btw anyone remember when farooq was the #1 contender for undertakers title and he adressed this topic? i think he asked vince "wen was the last time a black man held ur title!?!" then i think he said something like "we r good enough to wash ur car but not hold ur title"

Although not black, Pedro Morales qualifies as a former minority WW(W)F Champion.
