I would like multiple items geared with the classic esr. Have they put out any ring skirt/rope sets for the current esr? IIRC Jakks put out individual Wrestlemania packages with the corresponding ropes/skirts. That is what I would hope for with the classic esr.

They should include varios accesories like a Cage, Steel Steps, Ring Bell, and maybe even an announcers table.

i would only want it for the andre and i already have a esr so im good and its not like its the only andre they are going to release so im good

I personally wouldn't want this, but I can see them eventually making one down the line. I still have yet to find the current ESR myself.

I could pass on the announce table though since in the classic days their tables were just regular tables with a table cloth and some monitors. |

u guys know the "old school BLUE CAGE" was originally created so HULK could climb up and out even wwf used the fence style before 1986.
yes i def want the cage!! both summerslam 89 & 97 (from NJ) had awesome cage battles that i want to recreate with my Mattel display

wht they should just do is throw some blue ring post, the ropes, blue steel steps, ring skirt, steel cage and the andre the giant figure so no one will have to buy another ring.

Watching the Old School Edition of Raw sold me on the WWF ring. So now im hooked on WWE's vintage collection.
I only started collecting wwe figures half way through 2010, so I never owned an RSR.
Also now that I have a job that helps me afford new figures every week, dvd's etc.
When this ring comes out, cage or no cage, I will definetly be buying it.

It had nothing to do with Hogan. That's stupid urban myth. It worked better for WWF heavyweights like Hulk, Bundy, Bossman, etc and pretty much everyone who worked that cage, preferred it. Orndorff and Hart among others. WWF's escape the cage rules, made a cage you could climb make more sense. In NWA/WCW their cage matches were about BLOOD and brutality, thus no escaping to win the cage. That's why they used the fence style cage. WWE went back to the fence style, because WCW was kicking their ass so bad at the time that they had to copy the style of their competitor. Fans no longer associated the big bar cage as being a cage because WCW was so hot at the time that, you either do what they did or you weren't main stream. Nothing wrong with that, just the facts. That's how it is now with WWE. Now, WWE has big holes in their cage for "climbing" which looks really stupid and phony. They should just go back to the bars if they're going to keep making their matches about climbing out a cage. |
