Its a pretty big risk. Not one I would take with my best player on defense thats for sure.

Honestly, with someone like Mario Williams, the Texans should build their entire defense around him. He is obviously a better fit for the 4-3. Despite the change, I don't see much changing with their defense.

I understand the position, but there's a reason that 300 pound guys aren't projected as 3-4 linebackers... Size does matter. lol, Mario Williams isnt some fatass. and i think the argument can be made that no matter the aligment, he is still a DE

I know that he isn't a fat ass, but you have to understand that he is literally the biggest linebacker in the NFL right now... Again, there is a reason that teams typically don't put 290 pound guys at linebacker.
... Especially two of them at once.

Like I said before, I think Mario is a freakish enough athlete that he could do it... But he is not really built to play off the edge in a 3-4. It's going to be a tough transition for him and I personally think it's a poor decision.

Niners passed on Culpepper and signed Josh McCown....The official "Suck 4 Luck" campaign has begun!!! The 49ers are doing their best to compile the biggest pile of dogpoop QB's ever. I dunno, the 04 trio of Tim Rattay, Ken Dorsey and Cody Pickett are right up there.

It's going to be a tough transition for him and I personally think it's a poor decision. id agree, but not on the premise that he couldnt make the transition physically. if he fails, id think it would be because he wasnt able to learn the technique as far identifying run and pass. overall though, that unit wouldve been fine sticking with a 43. they sucked because they couldnt stop the pass or find a legit pass rusher for that DL outside of Mario. if theyd have stuck with a 43 and drafted Nick Fairley or Robert Quinn itd have been much better. but they decided to bring in Wade Phillips so we'll see how it goes

Jets D-Line is gonna come back to bite their own asses. Not sure how they will do that since they only lost Ellis in the middle. Other then that the Defense is all still there. Just 2 new younger guys.

I'm really pumped for tomorrow. I'm excited to see what Cam can do about the Dolphins 1st team defense, still not sold 100% on him but we shall see.

Phillys corners arent gonna do anything if teams just run the ball on them.

Doesn't help that Asante Samuel is ballsack in coverage, and has been for years.
