Hey Guys, I wanted to know your thoughts on something. I have 2 original LJN Plastic figure stands from what I believe was the first release of the first set of LJNs. I have only seen them on ebay with a Hulk Hogan MOC before. I have two loose that I obtained you stick the LJN figures feet into the base. I wondered if anyone has seen these on ebay before and if so what have they gone for. I know they are rare, not sure exactly how much though. Post thoughts on this. They have the old wwf logo on them.

Well, I had plenty of LJN figures back in the 80's, but I really don't remember them having stands with them. I do remember posters coming with them, but if they did come with them I probably would have thrown them out. As for how to post a pic...you have to load them to a host site like Photobucket or webshots. Then post the link to the pic after you load them to the host site. PJ

Hmmm...like I said above I don't remember those...but that was 20 years ago. Maybe they came with the tag team sets? Because I didn't have any of the 2 figure box sets. anyway thanks for posting the pics. PJ

well i know they came with Hulk Hogan version 1, I had heard they were only released with the first wave of the first series. I could be wrong on that, But as I said I possibly may look to trade or sell them. I need to add a couple pieces to my LJN set

I don't recall these at all, and when they first came out, I personally had the very first wave of LJN's, which was Hulk Hogan, Iron Sheik, and Jimmy Snuka. I was just getting into wrestling when the LJNs started to come out and had damn near every figure up to the series with Bam Bam Bigelow(I always wanted that fig!). Then I gave them to a family member (stupid stupid stupid).
Anyways, it was many years ago(at least 20) so my memory might be sketchy, but I've always been a stickler for stuff like that (accy's, etc) and don't recall it. Who really knows though, ya know?

yeah the reason I said it was the 1st wave of the 1st series is because I seen these in a MOC LJN with Hulk Hogan one time on ebay years ago, I didnt know they existed. On the back it says 1984 LJN which makes my assumption possibly more accurate. I nearly flipped when I bought these a couple weeks ago at a flea market. They were in a large collection of wrestlers I bought, hahah I only bought them to get a nice Tito santana Strike Force figure, the rest were average stuff like JYD etc. These were laying in the bottom and I immediately knew what they were. Needless to say I got out of there as quick as I could with them!! Lol

I have only seen Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant come with the stand. I personally used to own a MOC Andre figure with the stand included. I've never seen the stand released with any other figure. I think they are quite a rare and an LJN colellctor would pay top dollar I'm sure. ;D

I remember seeing an Andre The Giant with a stand at a JC Penney department store when they first came out (I think I was 8 or 9). Since I already had Andre I didn't get it, but I remember thinking it was strange that it had a stand. Then I never saw another figure with a stand again. I've also seen Hulk sold on ebay MOC with the stand. I don't know if they packed any other figures besides Hulk and Andre with the stand, but it is a pretty diffucult item to get a hold of and a nice find.

They've got to be incredibly rare because this is the first time that I've seen them. And I remember getting all the old LJN's when I was a kid and I don't remember seeing any of them come with stands like that. I'd hold onto them if I were you.

I have 2 stands too. I didnt know they existed until about 2 years ago. I dont know how they were released or what the story is on them. I wish I had more because alot of those figs dont like to stand on there own.

They were released in the last wave of the 1st series. The only ones I know that came with a stand were Andre (#1), Hulk Hogan, big JOhn Studd and I've only ever seen one Jimmy snuka with the stand, If memory serves me right they released the stands in the last wave of the 1st series because there was a number of complaints that some of the figures didn't stand on their own, so inorder to sell more of the ever popular hogan and Andre they included the stand for a trial run, Not sure why they didn't stay around but I'm almost positive that no stands were included with figures outside the last batches of the first run. They are pretty rare and you could get anywhere from $10-$15 (pretty good for a stand) each, probably sell even better if you included them with a mint Hogan and Mint Andre.

Here's a couple of MOC photos I nabbed from eBay a few years ago. I'd never seen/heard of these stands until I came across these: Credit to whoever the eBay sellers were I snagged these from!

The stands only came with the first wave of the first series of LJNs. The are incredibly rare, from what I have heard.
