That Sonnen part is so oddly placed that it seems to be done so on purpose. Almost like they wanted to randomly point out that he's a dick.
It was a good preview otherwise though.

^ Looking at that video he seemed to be just telling it like it is. It's as if the clip of Sonnen put in the trailer was there to make him look like a prick.

After seeing that video from 1991, I gotta say if Chael ever has kids (not sure if he has any or if he's even married), I wouldn't envy them. I can only imagine what it would be like trying to explain some sort of academic/athletic failure to him as his son. He just seems like a very old school, tough love, no nonsense kind of guy.

Patrick Bateman telling it like it is. Sadly. Sonnen is easily the biggest athletic disappointment ever for me. Him and Jeff Hardy. But at least Jeff's demons are personal and he's not a raving a*shole that continues to bury himself more day to day. Evan Tanner, and I don't say this only because Bateman was his friend, I say it because it's  ing true, but Evan Tanner struck me as a person who was just to good for this Earth. He was a one-in-a lifetime person who will NEVER get the credit and the respect/tribute he deserves. If 1/100 of the Earth population were like Evan, we'd live in a completely different world. |

I don't know about his other comments in the first trailer, but the one posted Zack Ryder I have no issue what Sonnen said. People will have a biased opinion because the bloke he is talking about is dead, and not just that, but a great person. The matter of the fact is, what he said in the video wasn't horrible. And he is just telling it like it is. He shouldn't be slated for that particular clip.
Granted it is Chael Sonnen and he is strong opinionated and probably has said some stuff that people are not going to like, well that's how it was coming across in the trailer. But I have no issue with what I've heard so far. He's said a lot of stuff in the past, so the hate he'll get is going to happen, where had been anyone else, it may of not.
And I think he says a lot of what he says on purpose, to be well a "heel" in MMA. Works for fights, and the fact is people buy in to it, enough on here do. I think it's great, hence why I like him. But yea if he has said anything horrible outside of these, he's an bunghole for it.

A few months ago everyone was riding Sonnen's dick, calling him one of the funniest fighters and just going off but now this?

I still think Sonnen is hilarious. His personal issues, and his ridiculous behavior is really of no concern to me. As a fighter I've enjoyed watching him perform (most of the time), and he makes me laugh. I can admit he's a dick of the highest level, but so be it. It doesn't make me hate him, regardless of my admiration for Evan.
