I just saw the Mattel display and unlike with Jakks I was very pleased with their showing. I cant wait to get my hands on the Von Erichs and Eddie Guerrero. I like the figure belts for Daniel Bryan and the other basics. I noticed that only the figures on the Elite figures were painted which isn't a problem because I can paint them. I liked the new Elimination Chamber set as well. Unlike Jakks it's nice to see that Mattel realizes that all the wrestlers are the same height. ;D ;D ;D

I just saw the Mattel/WWE showroom images. OMG! Jakks is gett'n butt  ed! BUTT ED! I pray for you Jakks if I wasn't LAZY. Sound familiar? The winner and still World Wrestling Toys Production Champion... MATTEL! You guys must certainly miss the WWE contract. Truly you payed more focus and determination to your devoted consumers with that line. Where as with the TNA contract........................................... ...................................................... ...................................................... ...................................................... ...................................................... ..................................not so much. I'd hate to say this; but now, I'm kinda missing Marvel Toys/Toy Biz. |

Are they there all toyfair. Is there any chance they are holding out to show something else? After seeing Mattels display I'm thinking that's it. One showing per company, I was hoping this was just a taste and more was coming, but I am slowly fearing that was it.

MASSIVE letdown from Jakks.
Jakks are truly stinking out the joint, because this is probably the most pathetic showing in years -- virtually NOTHING new. Against solid competition like Mattel, it seems that Jakks are going out of their way to try and conclusively prove how bad they suck.
Come on Jakks, what the heck is happening to all of that potential? It's tough to believe that this is the same company that gave us so many awesome figures not so long ago...

There are some nice Figs, but if Jakks wants to be No.1, THEY need to do better Figs, and make more figs and FOR HEAVENS FN SAKE make FN RI STYLE Figs....DAMN!

So, you guys don't want a NWA legends line? I want RI legends because I want NWA wrestlers that Jakks never had a chance to give us. Thats why I want them. There won't be any NWA wrestlers at all. Only those under contract in TNA who have been in NWA will have their attires made. Same goes for NWJP (I think that was the Legends Hogan attire). Thats not true. Jim cornette isn't under contract with TNA, niether is andre. They're both getting figures. |
