Umm.. put your stuff up so the cat doesn't get it? My cat messed with my stuff but he never chewed on anything.

There's a new invention that may help you.
It's called the door. It causes a blockade into any room you choose. And it is fool proof for mammals that lack opposable thumbs....It may be pricey, but I think this may solve your problem. Try it and let me know how it works out so I know whether to get one or not.

Yeah I used to have that problem with my cats too. But then I learned to pick my crapup and keep it where my cats couldn't get to them. You can't really be too mad at the cat though, it is just a cat afterall. It's not like it was chewing on your ring ropes just to piss you off. The good news is you can easily -- and cheaply -- replace the ropes. Just buy some elastic rope. It's the exact same thing and you can get it at any craft store, just about any department store with a craft section, and eBay. I wish I knew that when I was a kid.
