I literally did nothing to it. I just picked it up and it just fell off. Should I call Mattel?

Yes call Mattel. It's quite possibly a QC thing. Over on their MOTUC line just over a year ago they had big problems with one of the figures due to the plastic used, the torsos broke. It was a really wide spread problem.

Because it's pretty much the entire story on the Goddess figure. A lot of people were even getting the figure already broken in the package.

Did you have to send the fig back? If so did they offer a prepaid shipping container?

Whatever, nevermind then if the pious asses aren't going to allow a straight answer. I was only asking because if you have to send it back it would be easier to just return it at the store. But since you are guilty until proven innocent here, just don't answer at all. I don't appreciate the accusation btw. That was incredibly rude.

How do you prove you bought the figure? How is it weird? I made a phone call. They asked the details. I gave it to them and they said sorry and said they'd send me a voucher. There was nothing dishonest about what I did.

On one level I have to agree it is dishonest as all hell to lie to get toy vouchers. On the other hand it is the world's largest toy company that famously used toxic paints to cut corners on costs to increase profit margins. I hope people keep in mind karma works both ways, you do bad, even against bad people and you will have bad things happen to you.

There was nothing dishonest about what I did. nobody is saying what you did is weird or that you are dishonest. i dont have any doubt that your problem is genuine. a few of us are just concerned that some other people may try to scam money out of mattel by lying about having a broken figure, thats all.

This thread seems to be quickly spinning off the rails. To get back on point: I'm glad you got a satisfying resolution crossrhodes83, from what I've seen Mattel is very hands on with their customer service and quality control is a fairly high priority for them so I'm not too surprised they're able to help you out.
