So, it's ok to be world police as long as ground troops aren't involved? Bombs away!! But this only applies to certain dictators. Dictators who basically pay us protection money, we leave alone. The hypocrisy is mind blowing. This country and this government is ground in hypocrisy.....we as a nation are hypocritical...I think its mind blowing that you find are actions mind blowing.

The hypocrisy itself isn't so mind blowing as the fact that no one says anything about it.

The hypocrisy itself isn't so mind blowing as the fact that no one says anything about it. People can spout off as they please and throughout american history you can see people doing so. The end result is minute changes that just further the hypocrisy...but if you want complaints...im sure there will be many before its over...its inevitable.

Jon Stewart and John Oliver did an amazing job last night talking about this. Dennis Kucinich believes the attack on Libya is grounds for impeaching President Obama.

Wouldn't starting a war without a declaration of war be illegal?

Bravo Congressman Paul.
If they are portraying the Obama Doctrine as taking out dictators and those who kill their own people, we will be fighting in many countries and against our allies/oil suppliers.

War from the air is still war. Are you not the same one who said this didn't qualify as a World Police action because it didn't involve ground troops? Everyone bombing Libya is starting war with them. We are not the world police in this, we are acting on behalf of the UN. However, it is still war. "The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation."

Don't know who that quote is from, but from a legal perspective, they're just wrong. W definitely did it. Clinton did it. Bush Sr did it before him. Reagan did it. Heck, we did it as far back as 'Nam.
