Where are the protesters? If you mean here in America, over 100 were arrested the other day. I guess I'm just not seeing it as widespread as it was the moment inklings of conflict with Iraq arose.

Personally, I'm mildly surprised the French have not surrendered yet.

Personally, I'm mildly surprised the French have not surrendered yet. HA! He's a black liberal democrat, of course there won't be as many protesters And I would argue the difference with Iraq is tension between the US and Iraq. Yeah, may not fit what Obama said perfectly, but with Libya, we really have no business doing anything there, and this goes against his own words. "Change", my butt...

We had no business going into Iraq. I do love how when Obama does something, the first thing people jump to is "This isn't change." Doesn't matter what it is. "He's wearing a suit. Bush wore a suit. That's not change."

Maybe because we are not invading Libya. We aren't the ones who started this. We aren't the ones who pushed for strikes against them. We haven't been lied to about the reasoning for strikes against him. So, if we join up with other countries who want to play world police, that's ok. But if we go ask other countries to help us play world police, that's not ok. Pretty much, as we are part of the UN and this is a UN sanction. Bush not only didn't use the UN, he refused their help in Afghanistan, and then got mad when they didn't want to help in Iraq. As far as helping in Libya and not Egypt or Tunisia. the two latter country's dictators left without too much trouble once protesters showed they were serious. Muammar Gaddafi has refused to leave and said flat out that he will have a long war with anyone who tried to make him. The UN didn't really step in until he started crushing the rebellion. I am happy that people in that region are actually demanding human rights now. Hopefully it will all work out. Also, time has been doing articles lately comparing the rebellions to the European rebellions of 1848. It's pretty interesting.
