Hey guys, just wanted to throw this out there and see what you all think.
I'll start by saying Elite 7 is just starting to fully show up now all over. And we all know Elite 8 is out online. But look forward two weeks, and it seems like Elite 9 is coming out! Right there, two sets are going to be out online, but likely going to take a while to hit retail.
Look at 2-packs 8 which is just hitting retail in good amounts. 2-packs 9 has been out online for a month and 2-packs 10 is now out online too! We're going to start falling behind.
With the Basic sets it seems to be OK I guess. But with the stuff coming out so fast, it might cause delays/back up with getting new stuff out on shelves. For example, Target's here are putting out Elite 4 again! Those are going to sit there now and not help the situation it seems. I'm just kind of getting lost in this all. Opinions? I'm in no way trying to say anything negative.

i agree...i wish things were spaced out a little more....but this tkind of thing happened a few times last year, where 2 - 3 series hit around the same time, and created logjams....so i guess nothing will change this year...
i mean,i'm just starting to get caught up on Legends and DM's between stores and online, and i'm already behind on Basic 9,Basic 10,2-packs 9, 2-packs 10 ,WM Heritage 2,and Elite 8....

I'm sorry I don't really agree from the perspective of a Legends-only collector. It's fine for the guys who collect Elites and Basics, but seriously Legends come out every 2-3 months, they've canceled the Legends ring, canceled the 2-packs, AND dropped each series from 6 to 4. There's not even been a rumored list for Legends 7, 8, 9...
Personally i wish Legends came out as frequently as the other lines, but from a business standpoint I can see why it's spaced this way. Still, it's a long waiting game for us Legends collectors, especially now that we're going to be waiting for more "strategic" and less "obscure" stars in each series.

I somewhat agree with you. I feel that stores are falling WAY behind. some stores have been re-stocking Elite 4 and 5 and even some elite 3 out of nowhere. I find elite 7 sometimes but not commonly and since 2-packs 8 is still fairly new over here (keep in mind I never have trouble finding new figures at all in my areas) I feel that 2-packs 9 and Elite 8 wont be landing for quite some time. which by then would be the time that I'd be looking for Elite 9 normally. The basic series seems to be fine on their time line though but still stores such as Target and Toys R Us are really having trouble stocking (this has been the same with the Star Wars line though as well). - I am lucky enough to have a local wrestling figure store though that gets new series in (they have basic 9 and 10 and are getting 2-packs 9 and elite 8 in within the next few weeks).

All I want is for Elite 8 and 2P9 to come out within the next 2 weeks and E9, 2P10, L6, etc., to be out during the summer so I can get my birthday money in June.

The more the better. I hope Mattel keeps pumping out product. It's not Mattel's fault that certain stores don't know how to keep the shelves stocked by leaving product in the back rooms.

I agree with the legends collector point of view I just started collecting 2 weeks ago and I'm almost caught up

I'm still waiting for basic 8 to hit here in the UK. We've had Elite 7 and 8, Rumble Heritage, WMH2, two-packs 8, but no sign of basic 8 apart from one brief Toys R Us sighting.

I don't think so. I love the fact that new stuff is constantly available.

The problem where I live isn't so much that old sets are being put out, its that almost nothing is being stocked. If stores were putting out old Elites and Basics, they would be snatched up right away. TRU has been putting out the odd case of Basic 7, and even at $12.99 per they are gone by the next day. Stores need to order more and actually have product on their shelves.

i love it, its hard sometimes to find money to come up with to shell out for the figures, but I'm addicted to them so the quicker the better and the more the better for me.

I love it this way because if you are like me and only collect one line (elite), i hate when i have them all and i have to wait forever for the next series to be released.

I kind of gave up TBH. I mean Elite 7 just hit here and now 8 is out online. Same with Basics. I feel like i am always a set or 2 behind and it is costing to much also. Prices just went up so it went from 9.99 a figure to 12.99 a figure in some spots.

Honestly I think that as collectors with access to a site like RSC, we just have a misconception on how quickly this product should be out. RSC's business is almost based around the fact that they get ever series first and you can one stop shop. We see RSC get 2 Packs 10 in and we feel like we are behind because we just got 2 Packs 8. Probably in 2 or 3 months we will see 2 Packs 10 in stores. It's not necessarily that retail is behind, RSC is just ahead of the curve and gets thing asap for the people who can't wait or get tired of looking for a figure.

I don't consider them "officially" released until they hit retail stores. Even so, sometimes people find them months before they pop up near me, so it's still a long and slow process. I just found the All-Stars 2 packs and PPV 7 today, so those are what I consider the "current" releases. Ringside just operates inside a tear in the time-space continuum.

It doesn't bother me too much, because I only buy certain figures from certain sets and I've been using rsc recently for pre-orders and back-ordered stuff

Im Just a Legends Collector so Its easy not to fall behind, but i like having just one set and a set of dm's to purchase every so often so it doesnt break my bank account, i would love if they pushed the series back up to 6 a wave though , but honestly unlike most others im glad they did away with the two packs.... Id just rather see 6 very well done legends figures and 2 awesome dm's per every 2-3 months
