The thing which gets me annoyed with WWE is that in the past they had so much great talent and yet they just flushed them down the toilet and now they are still doing the same thing e.g. William Regal and guys like him!

Except that it's not just because of his feud with Del Rio, it's also due to the small fact that his former 'brother', longtime partner and man he is most closely associated with is the World Heavyweight Champion. They've been teasing Edge and Christian both fighting and teaming since 2009, it would make plenty of sense for Christian to be inserted into the match and thus create more tension between Edge and Christian. How does it make sense really? Christian is feuding with Del Rio, yes, that's fine. How random would it be for him to turn to Edge, and say " you know what I want to fight Del Rio, BUDDY OF MINE, and I know that you're fighting him and putting your title on the line and Wrestlemania. Since we're friends and all, let me lessen your chances of walking out of Wrestlemania as the champion just to settle my score with Del Rio. I want Del Rio, but you're fighting him, so I guess I have to go after your championship too.... You're cool with that right?" There's no logic in that. Exactly. There IS none!! I can't think of a logical reason to shoehorn Christian into this match.

I can't think of a logical reason to shoehorn Christian into this match. Because Christian being in it can only improve it. The match quality will be better and it feels like a bigger match. And who wouldn't take a world title shot if they were given the opportunity, especially at WrestleMania? Why would he just say "That's okay, Teddy. I don't want to be in a world title match at the biggest PPV of the year."?

Christian deserves a World title run. It will be a disgrace if he never gets one

Wait did everyone miss that whole thing where Christian just won a cage match in the main event of Smackdown, thus beating the man who is supposedly the number one contender for Edge's world title? What is so complicated about that logic? Del Rio has a title shot, Christian beat Del Rio, Christina should... get a title shot too...
I personally think Christian's feud with Del Rio is better than Edge's feud with Del Rio. Christian has the injury and there is just way more substance there, but admittedly I find myself more-and-more loving the way they are weaving this thing all together. Why would they let Christian go over Del Rio just to have him not compete at WrestleMania? I think with so little time before Mania, it is looking way more like a triple threat than not. If it doesn't end up being a triple threat, I fully expect to see Christian being the first one in line for a shot at Del Rio. Either way, Christian seems to be getting the main event attention he deserves on Smackdown.
I just don't think people are reaching here. It is stemming from what is actually happening on tv. Nobody is saying, "what if Christian wrestled a match and beat Del Rio to set up a potential scenario." We just saw Christian beat Del Rio, which could potentially set up that scenario. There is just a huge difference than what has gone on in the past imo.

I see Christian getting a push by turning on Edge after Mania... so wait a few more weeks and it'll happen.

The match does NOT NEED Christian to be great. Edge and Del Rio are perfectly capable of having a very good match without Christian.

It comes down the fact the we can enjoy Christian and have for a long time and considering the fact that he has paid his dues in the WWE in our eyes more then guys like Del Rio, Shamus, Cena, and Batista it drives people nuts to see him always delivering but never getting that milestone which he deserives so much.
Can anyone say Tommy Dreamer during his ECW days...

Christian deserves the World title, however at Mania, he's probably just going to be in Edge's corner. (sigh)
