On a live chat Dana just announced Carwin's next opponent will be Jon Olav Einemo
Einemo, a 35-year-old, who improved his MMA record to 7-1 in June 2010, made his MMA debut in 2000 and won his first five fights in a row in the first round. He lost his first fight to Fabricio Werdum at PRIDE 31 in 2006. After defeating James Thompson later that year, Einemo abruptly left MMA. However, he returned last summer to defeat Kresimir Bogdanovic in Bosnia.
Einemo is a member of Team Golden Glory and is the only man to defeat multiple-time BJJ champion Roger Gracie in the Abu Dhabi Combat Club tournament. He went on to finish first at the 2003 ADCC tournament after beating Gracie in the semi-finals of the 88-98 kg weight division.
no offical word on date, but MMAWeekly is mentioning UFC 131, as a likely time.
Odd match up to say the least

Don't know who that is. Will look him up for sure though. Carwin has been out for too long, hopefully his surgery went well and he's 100% and ready to throw down.

Never heard of the guy. I think Carwin will drop him, no problem and get back on his winning ways.

Carwin. KO. Round 1.
I thought they were going to give him Kongo, actually.

I've never heard of him either, but interesting he was in PRIDE for a bit.
Not counting the guy out at all, but here's hoping Carwin has worked hard on his conditioning. He may not need it as I pray a return to form for Carwin, with a first round KO like Hollywood Hero said.

I don't know anything about this guy, but it sounds like there is a possibility of ring rust. If he doesn't fight often, I don't see him being at a high level. I don't want to count him out early or anything but, that's my opinion.

Dude trains with Overeem and Golden Glory and is a world jiu-jitsu champion. I don't expect Carwin to be aggressive anymore due to his gassing out last time, but I wouldn't count out Einemo. He's spent a good while out of action, but he has been training with some of the best strikers in the world, so who knows.

I remember that fight with Werdum. It was a pretty good showing on his part from what I recall. I definitely don't want to go along with the whole "haven't heard of him, so he'll lose" mind set, but his inactivity is a cause for concern. Especially with someone who can hit as hard as Carwin. Hopefully he's picked up some good stuff from his training partners, and can try to exploit Carwins questionable gas tank.

If he's an Adu Dhabi Champion and part of Golden Glory. I'm not going to discredit him at all. While I'm going to root for Carwin, this could be a rough fight for him.

If he gets it to the ground Carwin is ed, Lesnar's camp was WALKING HIM THROUGH the arm triangle in their fight and he still couldnt defend it properly

Would have liked to see Kongo vs. Carwin instead of a nobody!

Kongo is a nobody himself.

Kongo is a nobody himself. Well, not really... at least he's a "name" guy - he's beaten guys like Cro-Cop and Buentello and gave Velasquez probably his toughest fight.
