On the final episode of IMPACT in 2007. The lights went out during the Main Event between Samoa Joe & Kurt Angle. On the Titantron the word "Change" appeared on the screen. The lights went back on and the crowd, the Announcers and the Superstars & Knockouts were confused.
On the first IMPACT of 2008, the show started with "The Change is NOW!" appearing on the Titantron. A countdown then started from 10 and when it reached zero, Paul Heyman came out and said that TNA is now his company. The crowd erupted. Heyman said that all the titles are vacant and that at Genesis, all titles will be on the line.

Good luck with this, because if executed well this could be really cool. Knockouts, not Divas btw.

TNA GENESIS 2008 January 6, 2008 | Impact Zone | "Good Friends Better Enemies"
The show opens with Mike Tenay & Don West hyping tonight's Main Event between Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle, Sting & Booker T for the vacant TNA World championship. They also rundown the rest of the card: L.A.X vs. Black Reign & Rellik for the TNA Tag titles, Abyss vs Jeff Jarrett, Kaz vs Sonjay Dutt for the vacant X-Division title, Gail Kim vs ODB for the vacant Knockout's title & Rhino vs Christian Cage.
X-Division championship Kaz vs Sonjay Dutt This was a pretty exciting match to kick of Genesis. When the match started both men using their speed to their advantage. Dutt got the upper-hand and gave Kaz some decent kicks to the stomach. Kaz then reversed a kick and hit Dutt with a DDT. Kaz then went for a pin but got a two-count. As both men got up, Dutt got up on the top rope but Kaz hit his feet. Kaz then tried to hit a super-plex but Dutt pushed him off and hit a Moonsault off the top rope but only got a two-count. Both men stayed down for awhile but they both got up at the count of nine. Kaz then got the advantage and hit Dutt with a clothesline. Both men went over the top rope. Kaz got up and got in the face of some fans. Kaz picked up Dutt and threw him in the ring. Dutt then hit a dropkick on Kaz and Kaz hit the guardrail. Dutt then jumped over the top rope and hit Kaz with a hurricarana. The crowd went nuts. Dutt threw Kaz in the ring and pinned him to get the win. Winner and new champion: Sonjay Dutt
After the match, Dutt got up and celebrated his title win. Kaz then got up and Dutt offered him a Handshake. Kaz accepted as the fans cheered for both men. Several replays were shown of the match. Jeremy Borash was shown backstage ready to interview Kurt Angle. Angle told Borash that he will become the TNA World champion. AJ Styles appeared on the screen and told Angle that whoever will win the Title will lose when they defend against AJ Styles. Angle responded that he will break Styles neck if he trys to beat him. Angle & AJ left on opposite sides of the Interview area. We then headed back to the ring for the next match.
Rhino vs Christian Cage This match did not live up to it's hype. When the match started, Rhino and Cage both hit each other with some punches. Rhino got the advantage and hit Cage with some kicks. When Rhino tried to hit the Gore, Cage reversed and threw Rhino into the ringpost. Cage then got the advantage and hit Rhino with a suplex. Cage then tried to get the pin but only got a two-count. Cage then threw Rhino into the ropes and hit a DDT. Cage then pinned Rhino again, but again he only got a two-count. Rhino got up and tried to hit the Gore and connected. Rhino pinned Cage but Tomko came down and hit a Powerbomb on Rhino leading to a Disqualification. Winner: Rhino
After the match, Tomko helped Christian Cage up and held his hand up high. Cage & Tomko then threw Rhino out of the ring, and went backstage. Mike Tenay & Don West then recapped the Cage vs Rhino. The camera's then went backstage to where Paul Heyman was behind his desk. Heyman siad that since Cage & Rhino fought to a Disqualification and next week they will have a No Disqualification match on Impact this week. The camera's then went back to the ring for the next match.
TNA Tag Team Titles LAX vs Black Reign & Rellik Both teams put on a good performance. When the match started, Rellik attacked Hernandez on the outside and threw him into a table. Homicide and Black Reign had a very good fist battle inside the ring. Reign then hit Homicide with a clothesline and tagged in Rellik. Rellik hit Homicide with a few kicks and punches until Homicide hit back and dropkicked Rellik into the post. Homicide then hit Rellik with a clothesline. Homicide then tried to hit a DDT on Rellik but Rellik pushed him into Black Reign's boot. Rellik then went for the pin but Homicide kicked out at two. Rellik picked up Homicide and told Reign to get a table. Hernandez got in the ring and hit Rellik for a Border Toss for the win. Winners and New champions: LAX
After the match, LAX celebrated their Title win. Rellik & Reign went in the ring and tried to attack LAX. But unfortuantly, Team 3D came out and saved LAX. Brother Ray & Brother Devon put Black Reign threw a table. An advertisement was shown of the return of Monty Brown at Against All Odds. The camera's went back to the ring for our next match.
Abyss vs Jeff Jarrett As the match started, Jeff Jarrett got down on his knees and hit Abyss with a low-blow to get himself disqualified. Winner: Abyss
As Jeff Jarrett left the ring, Paul Heyman restarted the match.
Abyss vs Jeff Jarrett When Jeff got in the ring, the bell rung and Jarrett left the ring to get himself counted-out. Winner: Abyss
When Paul Heyman was going to restart the match, Jeff Jarrett left the arena by going through the crowd. The announcers were shocked on what Jarrett did. Paul got on the mic and said that at Against All Odds, Jeff Jarrett will go against both Monty Brown & Abyss in a triple threat Six Sides of Steel. The crowd loved that idea. Abyss then left the ring, so the next match could start.
TNA Knockouts title Gail Kim vs ODB As the match started, Kim & ODB showed respect. Kim got the advantage early on by hitting some punches. ODB then escaped the ring and took a sip of her beer. ODB then got back in the ring and hit Gail with a kick to the gut. ODB then threw Kim in to the ringpost. ODB hit a splash on Kim, ODB then tried to get the pinfall but Kim kicked out. Gail & ODB then kept hitting each other until Kim clotheslined ODB to the ground. ODB then rolled up Kim to get the pinfall. Winner: and New champion: ODB
A promo was shown hyping the Main Event for the TNA World championship.
TNA World championship Kurt Angle vs Samoa Joe vs Sting vs Booker T The fans were excited for the Main Event. As the match started, Angle & Sting tried to team together. Sting & Angle attacked Joe first. Booker got involved between the men but got punched in the face. Angle then applied the Ankle lock on Joe but Sting pushed him aside. Sting then applied the Scorpion Death Lock on Joe but Angle pushed him aside. Angle & Sting then started to fight and they went to the outside. While the writing wasn't TOO bad, you do need to think this through. Maybe do another sim where you can jump right into it. You have good potential, though.

-You have extreme potential, and this is looking fine. I hope that you can stick with one, and find the thread you are excited by. Hope this is it. -Sonjay Dutt going over was the best way to go. I was a big fan of Dutt around this time, so this should be good. -Nice to see if didn't live up to the hype, as it means you're keeping it realistic. Rhino going over is good though. -LAX winning was fine now, since I have grown to like the team, but I was real irritated by them before. -Interesting that Abyss and Jarrett was restarted. Nice to see Abyss won though. -Angle winning the TNA World Heavyweight Championship was great. This was a solid match, and great main event. -Good show; loads of potential, I hope you use it right.

I don't like how you've suddenly changed things around. Heyman coming in with no sort of backstory or hype is bad. Their needs to be some reasoning to his appearance/signing. Stripping the Champions of their belts would be fine if you didn't go ahead and put the World Title back on Angle. Why? Restarting Jarrett/Abyss only to get the same outcome? Why? Monty Brown out of the blue? Why? Nothing is really making sense here.
