Kevin Hart vs. Jack vs. AJ vs. Chris Hammers Stipulation: What would happen if it was really Sting in those 2/21/11 promos?
Jack vs. AJ; Chris Hammers and Kevin Hart have been counted out.
JACK 2.21.11 – MONDAY NIGHT RAW Main Event – John Cena and Randy Orton def. The Miz and CM Punk via DQ After a good back and forth match, which didn’t really see WrestleMania opponents clash as the competitors mainly battled their partners rival, The Miz clocked John Cena over the head with the WWE Championship to cause a DQ. Post-Match, Orton interfered taking out Miz with an RKO before he was spun around and met with a GTS from CM Punk. John Cena stumbled back to his feet, allowing him to deliver an Attitude Adjustment to CM Punk.
Then the lights went out and the numbers 2.21.11 appeared on the titantron it then counted down, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. GONG. The fans roared as they believed this was the return of The Undertaker. The lights came back on and to everyone’s surprise it was not the Undertaker but another man in a black coat, slicked back hair and a painted face. Cena turned around and was nailed in the stomach with a black baseball bat before he was planted with an Inverted DDT onto the bat. The lights went back out and the man vanished as RAW went off air.
2.28.11 – MONDAY NIGHT RAW The show begins when the lights go out and the music from the 2.21.11 promo plays, the mysterious man whom attacked John Cena at the end of the show last week makes his way down to the ring to a lot of heat from the younger fans. ‘Sting’ chants are heard throughout the arena. Sting takes a microphone from inside with jackets and introduces himself as Sting, few in the crowd pop for this name. Sting says that for those who don’t know he was a pretty ‘big’ deal in WCW but when the WWE took over the WCW, he left, he didn’t want to be any part of the WWE and it’s rancid fans. Sting says that a lot of people are wondering why he attacked Cena last week, what’s his ‘problem’. Sting says that besides the fact that Cena kisses the ass of the WWE Universe he has no problems with Cena. Sting reveals that it was his job, his goal to make an impact and Cena was just ‘in the way’. The Icon tells us that the real reason he returned is for a little thing called ‘The Streak’. Sting says that he accomplished a lot in his years wrestling, and he hasn’t got long left but there’s one thing that has always bugged him. How every year, on the ‘Grandest Stage of them All’ someone will challenge ‘The Streak’ only to be defeated at the hands of the Deadman. Sting says that every year Undertaker competes against someone who isn’t at his level. Stings believes that he is even better than The Undertaker and he is hereby officially challenging Undertaker to get off his sorry ass, and take up Sting’s challenge, or he’ll just assume Undertaker is too much of a girl to accept it.
Sting is ready to level but it quickly stopped by the theme song of John Cena, Cena makes his way out to a decent pop. Cena says he doesn’t care about Sting’s reasoning behind attacking him last week; he still did it so he wants some revenge, a little redemption. Cena challenges Sting to a match tonight! Sting gladly accepts before we cut to a commercial.
Later on in the night…. Main Event – John Cena def. Sting via countout. A great main event which allowed the younger crowd to see what Sting was all about in the ring. About half way through the match the turnbuckle cover was ripped off, exposing steel. Towards the end of the match Sting tripped Cena into the steel turnbuckle as Cena stumbled backwards but then the lights went out. The Gong sounded and everyone realised that this time it was Undertaker. Taker was infact standing in the ring when the lights came back on but Sting fled to the outside and was counted out.
3.7.11 – MONDAY NIGHT RAW To close the show, Undertaker makes his return to reply to Sting’s offer of a match at WrestleMania. Undertaker gets a huge pop on his way down. Undertaker says that he finds Sting very obnoxiously brave to call him out in such a way. ‘Taker says that Sting made a mistake in coming back to attack the streak, it is a phenomenon which will never be broken. Sting makes his way out the ring now, to no one’s surprise. Sting tells ‘Taker straight up that he wouldn’t have come to the WWE if he knew the Streak had no chance of being broken. Sting says that the Undertaker is a lot older and slower than he was back in the day so he won’t last for ever and it won’t be long before the Deadman is finally killed off. Undertaker gets in Stings face now, and Sting stares right through him. Sting asks him what is answer is to a match at WrestleMania and Undertaker utters the words ‘I accept’. Sting takes a step back, and extends a hand to the Undertaker but Undertaker refuses to take it and performs his cut throat taunt to the delight of the crowd. Sting turns to leave before suddenly spinning back around and hitting Undertaker in the gut with his Baseball Bat. Sting hits Undertaker a few more time on the back before ultimately finishing Taker with the Scorpion Death Drop. The WWE Universe are not happy as RAW signs off.
3.11.11 – FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN! Main Event – The Undertaker def. Kane The last time Kane and Undertaker fought was at Bragging Rights and a very weak Undertaker was Buried Alive. This time was different, Undertaker was much stronger than before and the match ended after Undertaker hit Kane with the Tombstone Piledriver. It didn’t take long for Sting to arrive Post-Match though and he took Taker down with a furious Lariat. Sting proceeded to wildly stomp on the Deadman as Kane just watch on with a blank look on his face. Sting then went out of the ring for a steel chair, but instead of getting just one, he retrieved two, handing one to Kane. Sting instructed Kane to hit Undertaker, whom was getting to his feet, with the chair at the same time as Sting. Undertaker got to his feet but before Sting could hit him he was nailed round the head with a chair himself and courtesy of Kane! Kane smirked over at his brother as Sting fled through the crowd, holding his head. The Brothers of Destruction watched on.
3.18.11 – FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN! Kane vs. Sting did not start. Sting was scheduled to compete in singles action against the Big Red Machine Kane, after he found himself fleeing the ring prior to Kane hitting him in the head with a chair on SmackDown. However, this week when Kane was making his way to the ring Sting came from the back with his baseball bat and swung it furiously at Kane, beating him down on the concrete before eventually connecting with the Scorpion Death Drop. Sting rolled into the ring, pulling a microphone from his coat. Sting shares with us that what we just witnessed was a direct message to the Undertaker of what he can do in the space of five minutes, and this is not even half of what he shall be unleashing upon the Deadman come WrestleMania. Sting says that he knows Undertaker isn’t in the building tonight but he will be watching very closely and nervously at home, trying to grasp at any weakness Sting has so he can play he’s little ‘mind games’. Sting says that mind games do not work on the Icon. Sting keeps talking as he exits the ring finishing by saying that defeating the broken down, timeworn, sluggish Undertaker will be as easy as a swing of a bat. Sting drives his bat once more down into the chest of Kane as SmackDown comes to a close.
3.25.11 – FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN WrestleMania Match - Contract Signing with Theodore Long. The two WrestleMania opponents, Undertaker and Sting are sitting across from each other, on opposites sides of a table in the middle of the ring. Teddy clarifies that if there is any physical contact between Sting and Undertaker tonight, the person who makes the first punch will automatically forfeit their match at WrestleMania. Teddy asks Sting the sign the paper first. Sting tells ‘Taker that he doesn’t want to go back and forth on who the better competitor is tonight, because over the past few weeks it’s been proven. Sting says that Undertaker hasn’t been able to lay a finger on Sting since his return and Sting’s gotten the better of John Cena, ‘Taker disturbed brother Kane and even Undertaker himself all in the past few weeks. Sting says that he agrees to sign this papers which pretty much grants him the title as ‘The Man who Broke the Streak’. Sting signs the contract and The Undertaker takes over the mic. Undertaker says that while he is right in saying that he has been unable to lay a finger on the Stinger since he returned, The Stinger has also been unable to stand up to The Undertaker like the man he thinks he is and fight face to face. The Undertaker says that come WrestleMania he will squash the Scorpion under his long Black Boot unless he wants to get it over and done with right here tonight. The two men stand up and face one another but Teddy interferes, swiftly reminding them of the rules he stated earlier. Sting adds that Undertaker isn’t worth the hassle anyway before he leaves. The Undertaker’s music plays to end the show.
3.28.11 – MONDAY NIGHT RAW Main Event – The Undertaker, John Cena, Edge and Randy Orton def. Sting, The Miz, Alberto Del Rio and CM Punk. A Great Main Event, previewing four of the WrestleMania matches in one bout. Sting and The Undertaker didn’t get any ring time with each other, saving it all for WrestleMania. They did have a few moments when The Undertaker was tagged in which forced Sting to quickly tag out, this happened twice in the match. Also, when Sting was in the ring against Edge, whilst bouncing of the ropes he nailed Undertaker purposefully in the face. In the end, everyone but Undertaker and CM Punk, whom were the legal men and Sting, on the apron were on their feet. Undertaker ran at Sting but The Icon dropped down from the apron. CM Punk tried to capitalize but he was instead met with a Tombstone Piledriver. Sting and Undertaker stared eachother down to end the show,
4.1.11 – FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN Neither man was on show tonight but at long six minute promotional package was shown twice during the broadcast to promote the WrestleMania match between Undertaker and Sting.
4.3.11 – WRESTLEMANIA XVIISTING VS. THE UNDERTAKER One of, if not the most, anticipated matches of the Pay per View was about to begin. Sting made his way to the ring first, in a red version of his attire. The Numbers 18-1 read on Stings Scorpion design upon his singlet. Undertaker was out next to a huge pop in his usual attire. The match got underway quickly as Undertaker pummelled Sting into the corner with huge uppercuts to the chest and face. Sting worked Taker away onto the ropes before using a quick clothesline to take Undertaker to the outside. Sting threw Undertaker into the crowd barricade before climbing into the ring as the referee began to count. Undertaker got back into the ring at four though. Stinger connected with an Inverted Atomic Drop prior to a Vertical Suplex for a one count. ‘Taker worked his way out of a Sleeper to connect with a Running DDT then a Sidewalk Slam but Undertaker hardly had time to get on a roll as Sting stopped him in his tracks with a big boot. Sting delivered stomps to the gut and chest of Undertaker before setting up for the Scorpion Deathlock which Taker scouted and countered before it became dangerous. Stinger reversed The Undertaker’s irish whips so Taker went into the ropes but as The Deadman came back he clasped Sting throat and dropped him with a Chokeslam, but only for a two count. The Undertaker seemed to be on a roll now, delivering Snake Eyes followed up with a Big Boot and then a strong elbow into the chest. Undertaker worked into the Hell’s Gate submission which Sting quickly fled from as he dived out of the ring. Undertaker met him out there with a huge leap over the top rope. Sting and ‘Taker both made it back in before the ten count, Sting countering a big boot for a belly to back suplex, then another and another but only for a small two count. Sting then delivered a flying clothesline and a One-Handed Bulldog but once again just for a two. Sting lifted Taker back up to his feet only for The Deadman to clamp down on Sting’s arm, twisting it to go up to the rope for Old School. ‘Taker proceeded to place Sting on the top rope for what looked like a superplex, however, Sting worked out of it and still left ‘Taker sitting on the top rope so he could hit a Scorpion Death Drop from the top rope, the crowd were stunned and terrified as Sting covered, one, two, no! Undertaker shockingly kicked out. Sting was frustrated and lifted ‘Taker for yet another Scorpion Death Drop but this one was countered into a Last Ride powerbomb for only a two count, to the surprise of many. Sting was weak after the move though and Undertaker capitalized drilling him with a Tombstone! Sting astonishingly rolled his shoulder up though and the match continued. The Undertaker looked to lock in his lethal submission, the Hell’s Gate and so he did! Sting scrambled around, grapping anything he could to break the hold and eventually found the rope just as he was seemingly read to tap. Sting ducked a punch and tripped Taker over to lock in the Scorpion Deathlock. Undertaker was in a lot of pain, you could see it in his face as he inched towards the ropes. Undertaker finally held the ropes though and the hold was broken. Sting hoisted Taker to his feet; Undertaker legs were weak so it was easy to drop Undertaker with the Scorpion Death Drop. Sting wasn’t finished yet though and he ascended the top rope for a crossbody, trying to finish off the Deadman. Sting leaped off, but Taker caught him mid jump and manoeuvred him into the Tombstone position. He then ended the battle with the move which ended Shawn Michaels career a jumping Tombstone for the three count.
Winner: THE UNDERTAKER
The Undertaker celebrated his 19th WrestleMania win with no defeats as Sting stumbled to his feet. Sting went to leave the ring but Undertaker stopped him, grabbing his shoulder and spinning him around before extending his hand in a surprising gesture. Sting accepted and the two hugged before both left separately after a thrilling match.
AJThe promos aired for the weeks leading up to the night following the Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View. As it drew nearer, images got clearer. The Undertaker was shown in the video. As the internet had exploded with the idea of the possibility of the biggest wrestling star to never step into a WWE ring, Sting, coming in - those hopes had been shattered. Or had they? The timer ticked down from the start of the show.
9:01 P.M. EST - The timer reads "0:59:59" in the corner of the screen of those watching at home and those who take notice of the titantron in the arena as John Cena made his way down to the ring. The timer, however, is not acknowledged by the commentary squad at all.
9:30 P.M. EST - The timer now says "0:30:00" and still no acknowledgment has been put in by the commentators. Apparently since everybody already knows that it is going to be The Undertaker, why should they anyway? It really makes sense when you think about it.
10:00 P.M. EST - The timer drops down to "0:00:00" as the crowd erupts when the lights dim down and the titantron shows a door slowly creak open and the long, black jacket dripping of rain to the floor. "Undertaker" chants break out in the entire arena until...
The man turns around and his face is faded out at first. He steps forward a bit and raises up a bat, pointing it to the camera. His face is finally revealed for just a split second before fading back out and the titantron going black to match the entire arena. A screech of a guitar is heard and the lights flicker black and white and then a spotlight shines on the WrestleMania sign where Sting stands upon it with his arms spread out, bat in his right hand, the arena cheering louder as he slowly pulls his arms to his sides and raises up a microphone from his other side and shouts "It's showtime!"
The music slowly fades out and the crowd continues to erupt as Sting slowly sits down on the sign and looks around at the arena. "Y'know, it's been a long time coming for myself to come into a WWE arena. But the one thing I have not yet done is step down into that WWE ring and guess what? I don't plan on it until I figure some things out. If you haven't noticed I am atop the WrestleMania sign. I began my wrestling career the same year WrestleMania began so I have been around just as long and I am ready to go to it! So what I am going to do here is lay down the challenge to the man you all thought was gonna be here - The Undertaker! And that's all I am going to be saying. So Dead Man, it's showtime!" Sting re-rises to his feet and raises his arms out to the loudly cheering arena as a commercial break is slowly faded out to as the challenge has been made.
February 28, 2011 - Sting makes his way down to the ring on Monday Night Raw, the arena giving him a louder amount of cheers than last week surprisingly. He steps towards the ring and takes a moment before entering it and spreading his arms out, taking in the moment. He gets a microphone from ringside and wanders around the ring some more, allowing the crowd to break out in cheers again.
"Well, well, well, the Icon is back and this time he is in the middle of the ring. Guess what I want, folks!? I want myself an answer from The Undertaker about WrestleMania. I want to know if we are going to get the big match that the internet has been talking about for years and has never gotten all because of me not wanting to come to World Wrestling Entertainment and deal with all the crap with Vince McMahon and all that jazz - but that time is over with. I know the Dead Man loves his fans whether he says it or not, and he doesn't wanna let them down and not accept this once in a lifetime challenge from me, does he? Come on, Undertaker, why don't you magically appear and show yourself and lay me out with a chokeslam or a tombstone piledriver or something then point your hand to the WrestleMania sign or maybe you can just walk down here for five minutes and say those three infamous words of yours."
The lights go out and the classical 'gong's hit around the arena. The Undertaker slowly emerges from the back and begins to make his way down towards the ring. He gets to the steps after a long walk and rolls his eyes back, entering the ring and not even removing his hat. Instead he just tilts his head up and looks across the ring at Sting, who gives him a smile of satisfaction. He applauds him lightly as The Dead Man takes a step to the middle of the ring slowly.
"So this is you. The Undertaker! What a presence ladies and gentlemen! Every time he steps down to this ring he intimidates the other man inside of the ring... except this time. Undertaker... you do not intimidate me one bit and you never will. If you show your gut and you accept my challenge for WrestleMania I will not be a part of that list of those who lost to Mr. Undefeated at WrestleMania. Guess what, Dead Man? It's just a number. You won at a once a year event each time you went to it, good for you. But I don't plan on starting my WrestleMania career at 0-1, I plan on it being the other way around. This is all I need in the WWE, too, I don't need to face anybody else to prove a point. All I need to do is step in the ring with you at the grandest stage of them all and all I need to do is destroy you. So what's it going to be, Undertaker? Are you going to step up and accept my offer?"
Sting puts the microphone out, offering it to the Dead Man to give an answer. Instead, he brushes off to the side and walks to the other side of the ring and holds his hand out for a different microphone. He takes it and slowly steps back in front of Sting. He looks to him and they stare down in an insanely intense silence. The crowd cheers wildly, however, as the amount of power these two legends possess between themselves is incredible.
Undertaker pulls the microphone up to his lips, "Sting. At eighteen WrestleMania's I have come down to the ring and come out victorious. You say it's just a number but then you turn around and contradict yourself and call it the grandest stage of them all. If it's just a number to you, then you will have no chance stepping into the ring with me and the number nineteen on my list will be forever remembered as just a pushover but it will be 19-0."
"My friend, that will be no pushover because when people look at that list that will only be challenger number nineteen. Your streak, however, will be busted and broken and down to 18-1 and you will have no purpose left in the WWE anymore! You come around a few times a year and then it all comes down to who's facing you at WrestleMania and everybody knows you're going to win but I guarantee you one thing, Dead Man, that this year will be different. If you accept my challenge people will question the streak. They will question truly deep down in their heart of the Undertaker can beat Sting and then they will find out on April 3rd that he cannot! So why don't we cut right on down to it and you give me your answer. WrestleMania - is it on or is it off?"
The stare down begins again and Sting forms a smile across his face as Undertaker steps up to him getting chest to chest. He looks down at him and speaks up, "If you wish. At WrestleMania, 'Icon', you will indeed Rest... In..." Sting doesn't even allow him to finish it as he drives his bat up into the stomach of Undertaker. He looks down at him as he collapses to the mat before pointing the bat to the WrestleMania sign and exiting the ring slowly.

CAMERON STONE Cameron Stone - SWA Modern Championship Entry Stipulation: Book the Rock/John Cena feud leading to a match at SummerslamOn April 3, 2011, at the showcase of the immortals, Wrestlemania XXVII, the seeds were planted for the biggest match in the WWE, and perhaps the entire industry, since the battle between The Rock and Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania X8. Coincidentally, both matches would feature The Rock. Before, he was the present day man going against the legend of the past, and now, on August 14, 2011, the roles had been reversed, as The Rock was the man coming in to face the current top man, one of the most controversial superstars of the last decade, John Cena. But first, the pathway to the match must be looked at. At Wrestlemania XXVII, current WWE Champion The Miz, who had been holding the gold for months, battled John Cena in the main event. The Rock, who had been involved with both superstars in verbal exchanges leading up to the match, and was the guest host for the show on this night, was ringside during the match, on commentary, with the legendary duo of Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler, who had defeated Michael Cole earlier in the evening. The match started out going well, though throughout, both Miz and Cena would throw verbal jabs at The Great One, and taunt him in the process. After a long, hard fought bout, the referee was taken out, and the action spilled to the outside in front of the Rock, and the Miz gained control. Miz decided to purposely throw Cena right over the announce table, sending him crashing right into The Rock. The Rock didn't take too kindly to this, and upon getting up, started kicking the Miz's ass. The crowd went nuts as Rock slammed Miz into the ring post and gave him a spinebuster inside the ring. By this point, Cena was back in the ring, and he started yelling at Rock for interfering, and The Rock had enough, as he delivered a Rock Bottom the Cena,and hit a double People's Elbow on both superstars, before leaving the ringside area. The referee regained his composure, and Miz managed to drape an arm over Cena, but Cena twisted around, and locked in the STF, forcing Miz to tap, and giving John Cena the gold. On RAW the night after, The Miz viciously attacked John Cena from behind, and declared he was using his rematch clause at Extreme Rules on May 1. The Anonymous RAW General Manager then made the bout an I Quit Match. The next couple weeks the attacks on each other intensified, and two referee's got hurt. So all the referee's expressed their unwillingness to referee this match, knowing how vicious it could get. So the GM named The Rock the special guest referee, to the disdain of both Miz and Cena. Rock said it was going to bring a smile to his face, being there when one of them quit like a little bitch. At Extreme Rules, the I Quit Match was indeed vicious. After the Miz hammered Cena with dozens of chair shots, Cena still refused to quit, even with the Rock goading him. Cena mounted a comeback, handcuffing Miz to the top rope, and hammering him with punches and various weapons over and over, the whole time the Rock taunting both guys, and eventually, John Cena snapped, as he attacked the Rock suddenly. After delivering several chair shots to Rock's back, and beating on him up the entrance ramp, Cena delivered an Attitude Adjustment to the Rock off the stage into some tables below. Another referee came out, and Cena finally made The Miz quit after choking him out with barbed wire. The night after, it was announced The Rock had been hospitalized, but from his hospital bed, he had recorded a message for John Cena. The message said it might be a while before the fans saw the Rock again, but he would be back, and Cena wouldn't know when it was coming. Rock said revenge would be his, and he was going to lay the smackdown on John Cena like nobody ever had before. Cena laughed off the message, and began looking to his next title defense at Over the Limit on May 22. John Morrison had won a contenders match at Extreme Rules, and it was going to be his biggest ever opportunity. But like he always does, The Miz found a way to get himself involved. After attacking Cena and demanding another title match, the RAW GM said if Miz could defeat Morrison, he'd be added to the title match, but if he lost, he wouldn't be allowed to wrestle for any championship for the remainder of 2011. Miz managed to win and give us a triple threat match for the title at Over the Limit. At the event, it was a fantastic match, early MOTY candidate. The three superstars went all over the arena. The finish came with Miz down, Morrison went to the top rope for starship pain, but Cena sprang into action, delivering an attitude adjustment to Morrison off the top rope onto Miz, and then Cena pinned both men at the same time to get the victory. From this point on, Cena's attitude started to shift slightly, as he became more cocky, and flat out bragged about how he was the best. He still kept his gratefulness to the fans, but he started to get on all of the other wrestlers nerves. The night after Over the Limit, Cena was bragging about all his title reigns, all of the people he had beaten, and that there truly was no equal to John Cena in the WWE. At that, out came Triple H, and the two started trading verbal jabs, and Triple H challenged Cena to a title match at Capitol Punishment, saying if he was the best, he should face the best. Cena accepted, and after a typical buildup, on June 19 at the PPV, John Cena defeated HHH to retain his gold once again. This time, the bragging wouldn't end, as Cena said if HHH couldn't take the belt off him, nobody could. A battle royal was held that night to determine Cena's challenger for Money in the Bank, and it was CM Punk who came out the winner. Cena just treated this as if it didn't matter, yawning, and blowing Punk off as a real challenger. That changed a little when Punk pinned Cena in a tag team match on RAW. At Money in the Bank, the match was another really good one, and the main story being told was that they kept countering each others finishing moves. On the fourth attempt, Cena finally connected with an Attitude Adjustment. But Cena didn't make an immediate cover, he began taunting to the crowd a little, and The Rock came through the audience and slid into the ring behind Cena, and when Cena turned around, he was planted with a Rock Bottom, and the crowd exploded. Cena had won over Punk via DQ, keeping his championship, but John Morrison, who had won MITB for RAW earlier, cashed in, and took the title from Cena, thanks to the Rock, who had gotten revenge from Extreme Rules. The July 18 RAW kicked off with a pissed off John Cena in the ring, saying how dare the Rock attack him and cost him his WWE Championship. He said The Rock is nothing but a Hollywood hack who does nothing for himself anymore, with stunt doubles doing anything dangerous while Rock made millions of dollars. Cena challenged The Rock to a match at Summerslam, and said if the Rock wasn't too big of a coward to decline, then Cena was going to show him how the business has evolved without him. The Rock came out to a huge pop, and accepted the challenge. Cena challenged the Rock to come into the ring and throw down right there, and The Rock did, and the two of them brawled all over ringside until security separated them. Later in the main event, where Cena had a rematch with CM Punk from the night before, The Rock came out, and Cena watched, infuriated, as the Rock started handing out free tshirts to fans wearing Cena merchandise, as long as they got rid of the Cena stuff. This distraction allowed Punk to roll up Cena and get a win. Next week, The Rock opened the show in the ring, with his guitar, and along to acoustic guitar, sang a rap of his own on Cena. Cena stormed the ring, and after a few moments, managed to knock The Rock out of it. Cena then smashed The Rock's guitar, and did his you can't see me motion. Later in the show, Rock was being interviewed backstage by John Matthews, and Rock said that he had sent a front row ticket to Summerslam to John Cena's father, so that his dad could see him get his ass whooped by a real man. Cena then attacked The Rock, and actually put Rock through a wall, and then used a spin on one of Rock's catchphrases, saying he was going to knock Rock's candy ass back to Hollywood, if you smell what the champ is cooking. On the August 1st RAW, it was announced that next week, the last RAW before Summerslam, would feature Piper's Pit, with guests The Rock and John Cena. The Rock then opens the show, and says he has arranged a special opponent for John Cena tonight, against the man he defeated to win his first WE Championship JBL, and it would also be a Texas Bullrope Match. John Cena came out, and accused the Rock of being a coward and trying to weaken Cena before their match. The Rock asks Cena if he really thinks he's a coward, but John Cena doesn't fall for Rock's old trick. In the main event, John Cena was victorious over JBL, but The Rock hit the ring immediately, and started beating down Cena, and used his leather belt to whip him over the back. Rock also hit JBL with a rock bottom, and ends the night by giving Cena his own "You Can't See Me" gesture. On the last RAW before Summerslam, the Piper's Pit is being heavily put over. Finally the Hot Rod comes down for the segment to a big ovation. Cena and Rock follow. The Rock blasts Cena for being too much of a nice guy to the point of being a ****, while still having no respect for the business with his pimped out title belts and his stupid rapping. Cena fired back by saying The Rock abandoned his fans, which is worse. Rock says he simply changed careers, which was allowed, and that he never ever took his time in the WWE for granted. Piper interjects, and says both guys have valid points, but The Rock is right, and no law says you have to stay forever, and that Cena's obsession goes too overboard. Piper then goes on to shock Cena by saying The Rock will always be better than him, because he doesn't descend to the level of dumb poop jokes and he doesn't kiss the fans asses. Piper says when you are too straight, too much of a nice guy, they will resent you for it, and the fans don't want a hero, they want an anti hero. Not to mention The Rock has better movies. Finally, Cena has had enough, and shocks everyone when he hoists Piper up and delivers an Attitude Adjustment to the legend. This causes Rock and Cena to start throwing blows, and they brawl all over the pipers pit set. Cena gets the upper hand when he smashes a wooden stool over the Rock's back, and then locks in the STF. The Rock refuses to give Cena the satisfaction of him tapping out, and holds on until security breaks up the fight. August 14, 2011 - Summerslam The crowd is incredibly hot, both superstars getting incredibly loud, and mixed ovations. The Rock seems to be the slight favorite, likely because of his longer absence. As the opening bell rings, Cena, with a smug look on his face, offers The Rock a handshake, to which The Rock responds to with the middle finger, which just makes Cena laugh. Cena goes to lock up with The Rock, but is met by a barrage of right hands by the great one, with the final shot sending Cena over the top rope to the floor. The crowd goes nuts, and Cena slides underneath the ropes and starts hammering Rock with a barrage of shots, sending Rock reeling into the ropes, and one clothesline later, and it's Rock turn to take a fall to the outside. He gets back in, and Rock and Cena go right face to face, before hey begin trading punches back and forth, with Cena getting the advantage. He Irish whips Rock, who counters, and sends Cena into the ropes, and as he bends over to deliver a backdrop, Cena stops and grabs Rock's head, hitting a swinging neckbreaker. Cena tries to lock in the STF right away, and The Rock panics and manages to get to the ropes. As the referee forces Cena away, Cena motions that he came that close to The Rock. Rock gets up, and tells Cena to bring it. The two superstars trade moves for a while, Cena hitting his throwback and a few suplexes, and Rock hitting a Samoan drop and a Russian leg sweep. The battle spills to the outside, and The Rock throws Cena into the steel steps, and the Rock grabs a leather strap from under the ring. He begins whipping Cena with it, just like he did on RAW a couple weeks ago, and because of how big the match is, the referee is reluctant to call a DQ or count out. But Cena gets out of the predicament when he manages to throw Rock face first into the ring post. Cena whips Rock into the crowd barrier, and then brings him over to the Spanish announce table, and after slamming his head into it a few times, rolls Rock on top of the table, before climbing up himself. Cena hoists Rock on his shoulders, and prepares to deliver an Attitude Adjustment on Rock through the table, but The Rock is able to slide off Cena's shoulders behind him, and he turns Cena around and connects with a quick DDT on the table to Cena! The table doesn't break under the move, and both men lay on the table, trying to get their bearings. he Rock gets off first, and gets back into the ring. Cena follows not too long after, but before Cena can get into the ring, Rock tries a baseball slide, but Cena quickly steps aside and pulls the ring apron away from the canvas, so The Rock slides between the apron and the ring, trapped. John Cena begins to hammer The Rock with right hands over and over, taking advantage of the brilliant move, and it takes several moments for The Rock to stumble out of the trap. Cena throws a weary Rock back into the ring and gets inside as well, and makes the first cover of the match, and gets a near fall. Undeterred, John Cena motions that he thinks it is time to end things, and when Rock gets up, he's met with a flying shoulder block. And then another one. Then Cena connects with his signature slam, before raising his hand in the air, and giving Rock the you can't see me. Cena runs at the ropes, preparing for the five knuckle shuffle, but the Rock springs up to his feet HBK style, and Cena comes to a halt in front of the people's champion. Rock then just slaps Cena across the face, stunning him, and connects with a spinebuster! The Rock gets into positron for the People's Elbow, and the crowd erupts. The Rock does his typical buildup to the elbow, but right before he drops it, he adds a You Can't See Me of his own, and he drops the elbow on Cena and makes a cover, getting a near fall of his own. After the near fall, The Rock takes position behind Cena, getting ready to hit him with a Rock Bottom once he gets to his feet. Cena slowly starts to gain a vertical base, and when he turns around Rock grabs him, but Cena counters with an STO! Now Cena gets up and gets ready to try the Five Knuckle Shuffle again, and after the does his hand wave, he takes a page out of Rock's book and throws his armband to the crowd, and connects! But only a near fall is gained! Cena begins to lift Rock to his feet, no doubt bad intentions on his mind, but Rock counters by pulling Cena's legs out from under him, and then The Rock locks in a sharpshooter on Cena! The crowd goes ballistic as Cena screams in pain, his face contorting as he desperately tried to make it to the bottom rope. Just as Cena is about to finally grab the rope, after several agonizing moments of inching himself closer, The Rock walks back forward, once again getting Cena to the center of the ring. Cena buries his face in his hands, and raises his hand, at the brink of tapping. But somehow, Cena manages to hold on, and once more, inches himself towards the ropes. He tries reaching out for it, and is just a half inch short. Cena stretches, and just manages to grasp the rope in his hand. Rock reluctantly lets go of the hold, and begins laying the boots to Cena, taunting him the entire time. Cena begins trying to fight back, hitting weak shots to the Rock's midsection, but Rock easily shrugs the shots off before responding to one to Cena's face. But an exhausted Cena is willing to do anything to win this match, and he buys himself time when, after being thrown into the corner, he begins to slowly untie the turnbuckle pad cover. The referee spots this, and butts in, admonishing Cena, and for a few seconds, the referee turns his back to the superstars to retie the pad cover, and while he's looking away, Cena hits the Rock with a low blow, getting a bunch of boos in the process. Both men get to their feet again at the same time, and Cena attempts to position Rock for an attitude adjustment, but Rock is ready to block it, and then surprisingly hoists Cena up, and plants him with his own finisher! The crowd goes nuts as Rock makes a cover, only to get a two count. The Rock is frustrated, and readies himself for another attempt at a rock bottom, but when he grabs Cena, Cena is able to counter and lift Rock up, and Cena is the one who ends up hitting a Rock Bottom! Instead of making a cover, Cena locks in the STF, and now it's Rock's turn to scream in pain, though after a few moments, The Rock is able to use his strength to roll over onto his back, getting Cena underneath him, and Rock throws some elbows back, forcing Cena to let go. By this point each man is extremely exhausted, and they both slowly get to a vertical base, trading a punch at a time. Cena tries to throw a complete haymaker, and Rock ducks underneath it, and then finally nails Cena with a Rock Bottom. The Rock makes the cover, and it looks like he has three, but Cena had put his foot on the bottom rope, which the referee noticed at the last possible moment. The Rock can't believe it, and he starts arguing with the referee, and fails to notice John Cena get a sudden burst of adrenaline and get to his feet. When Rock turns around to go after Cena again, Cena lifts him up, and plants him with an attitude adjustment! But the momentum of the move causes Rock to rolls after impact and fall out of the ring, and Cena can't believe his bad luck there. He follows Rock to the outside, and manages to get him back into the ring after some hard work, and then makes the cover, but enough time had passed for Rock to kick out. John Cena has had enough, and decides to pull out the big guns, as he climbs up the corner to the top rope, and waits for Rock to get up. When he does, Cena leaps off, going to a cross body press, but The Rock dodges to the side, and Cena manages to make a bit of contact with the referee. Not enough to fully knock him out, but enough so he is out of it for a few moments. right after that, Cena, who looks like he feels really bad for hitting the referee, turns around right into another Rock Bottom, and the building explodes as Rock makes the cover. But the referee is just recovering, and it takes him another ten seconds or so to get into position, enough time where Rock would have had the three count. The ref counts, but Cena kicks out at tweo, and The Rock is pissed, as he should have won there. He grabs Cena's head, no doubt something else big on his mind, but Cena lifts him up and connects with another Attitude Adjustment! But instead of making a cover, Cena hauls Rock up, and connects with a second straight Attitude Adjustment, and the third of the match! But John Cena still isn't done, and he brings rock's lifeless body to the corner, and manages to lift Rock into a seated position on the top turnbuckle. Cena climbs up as well, and the crowd know exactly what is coming, as John Cena delivers a third consecutive Attitude Adjustment and fourth total, from the top rope, and then finally makes the pin, and there are no doubts here, as John Cena gets the 1, 2, 3 to win the biggest match of his life! Winner: John Cena SHIFTY Shifty Presents... ROCK VS. CENAIt was the picture that the WWE Universe was itching to see. The loudmouthed, obnoxious toolbox of a WWE Champion, The Miz, had been on top for five months, and had took down some of RAW's elite superstars along the way. However, at the end of Wrestlemania XXVII, the 'Legendary' star John Cena stood tall once more, and in a post match interview on WWE.COM, claimed that the 'real people's champion' was back. The following night on RAW, the WWE Universe was given one more thing they wanted to see. Two era's colliding, when John Cena and The Rock finally stood in the same ring. A wave of chants rolled in, the sounds mashing, creating an unbelievable atmosphere. 'Rocky, Rocky!' 'Cena, Cena!' Both men looking around. Finally, a confrontation. Cena removed his hat, cracked his knuckles. Rock removed his shades. The two paced the ring. 'I CAME TO PLAY!' The mood spoiled. The tension gone. The moment passed. The Miz arrived. Running his mouth like only a kid from Parma could, Miz began his verbal tirade. 'Sellout, and Wannabe Sellout'. However, before Miz could continue, he'd hit the mat. Cena was in no mood for Miz's outlandish behaviour, and neither was Rock. For the first time since returning, he was going to treat his fans to 'the most electrifying move in Sports Entertaiment'. The People's Elbow! With Miz down after recieving an Attitude Adjustment from Cena, The Rock followed up with that very move! He then stared down Cena, looking like he was about to come to blows with him also, but instead he picked up a microphone, and reminded the WWE Universe that he was never going away ever again, picked up his Sunglasses, and left. After seven years away, it seemed that Rocky was gone once more, despite what he had said. Three television appearances, and a getaway for the Disney movie star. A huge dissapointment to every fan of every age. A true icon of the WWE leaving the fans without so much as laying a finger on John Cena, despite the barrage of insults the two hurled at each other in their war of words. It was over three months before we heard from Rock once more. On the July 4th edition of Monday Night RAW, the WWE Universe was left in shock. The show began not with the usual pyrotechnichs, but the theme of Vince McMahon, the chairman of the WWE, who announced that at Money in the Bank, we would see an appearance from the Great One, The Rock! The crowd went insane at this announcement, and all the WWE Universe looked forward to the Pay Per View, to see what The Rock had to say. Live on Pay Per View in Chicago, Money in the Bank began not with a match up, but with The Rock's appearance! Rock recieved a fantastic reception, warming up the crowd with his usual routine, before saying he wants to get down to business. He told the WWE Universe he had been listening to what they had to say, that they wanted to see The Rock battle John Cena in a match so electrifying that it cannot be described with words. He says he has listened to them, and knew what he had to do. He said he'd been watching Tough Enough, and he'd saw how all those rookies dreamt of being the next WWE Superstar, and then he saw how hard they were working, and realised if he worked as hard as them, maybe he could get back into ring shape, and give the the WWE Universe what they wanted to see... John Cena vs. The Rock! The crowd exploded at this suggestion, Rock beaming at the way he'd pleased them all. He says that unfortunately, that match wouldn't happen tonight. But next month at Summerslam, that's in The Rock's backyard of Los Angeles, and he's putting the challenge out right now to John Cena for a match! He then finished speaking, asking the crowd if they smell what The Rock is cooking. Later on in the night, John Cena defended his WWE Championship against CM Punk. Despite his best efforts, Punk came out on top in the gruelling match up, defeating Cena with the Go To Sleep to win his first WWE Championship. The commentators noted how perhaps Cena had been distracted by The Rock's challenge earlier in the night, and maybe that had been a factor in his downfall tonight. As Punk celebrated to end the night, Cena looked dissapointed with the loss, but at the same time, determined. After the show, WWE.COM was not only flooded with headlines about the WWE Championship match, but also The Rock's challenge. Shockingly, in a WWE.COM exclusive recorded interview, Cena accepted Rock's challenge, and said that he wanted to see Rock man to man tomorrow night! The following night on RAW, at the end of the night, for the first time since April, The Rock stood in the ring. He called out John Cena, saying he and Cena need to talk man to man. Cena emerged, to a very mixed reaction. He said that Rock needs to be careful what he's getting into, because this 'fruity pebble' has won more World Championships than he has, beaten more Giants, and when his back's been up against the wall, has come out swinging and winning. Rock says that all is true, but what Cena is forgetting that he should know his damn role and shut his damn mouth, because The Rock only called him out here to remind him that when he dared to talk trash about The Great One, he caught his attention, and The Rock made a vow to smack the very lips off the face of John Cena! Rock flings his shades to the ground, and Cena his hat, and the two get in each other's faces, but this time it's Cena who walks away, saying he'll 'save it for LA'. The next week on Monday Night RAW, John Cena tried to regain his WWE Championship from CM Punk. He was doing well, hitting his signature moves, and about to nail the Five Knuckle Shuffle, when the theme of The Rock hit! Cena was distracted by this, and Punk managed to roll him up to keep his Championship. Afterwards, Mason Ryan came out laughing at Cena, who was enraged, and as Ryan was helping Punk up, Cena snapped and attacked him! Despite starting the fight in control, the two on one beat down soon became too much. That was until the theme of The Rock played again, and this time the man himself emerged! Rock charged down to the ring, throwing his signature right hands, knocking Ryan out of the ring, while Punk was tossed by Cena! Despite not being friends with Rock, Cena thanked him for his help, and Rock helped him up. However, once Cena was up, Rock didn't let go of his hand, instead pulling him in, and saying that at Summerslam, he's gonna kick his candy ass! The following week, John Cena spoke of how he didn't fear The Rock, and he's willing to call him out right now! The Rock's theme played again, only for Hornswoggle, dressed as The Rock, to make his way out. The two mocked The Rock, using his signature catchphrases, and making jokes about the only thing Rock has ever cooked is some nasty flatulence. Cena finished this time by saying that he may be joking now, but come Summerslam, he's all business. In the final week before the match, Cena continued his mocking of Rock, this time how he has kept himself relevant to the WWE Universe over the years. Appearing via Satellite in a room full of mock-merchandise of The Rock's, complete with shades and stick on People's Eyebrow, Cena did an impression of The Great One. He continued to mock The Rock until The Rock burst in as Cena was mid impression, and said that it was almost as funny as his fashion sense. He then says that the jokes are over, and this Sunday, two icons will clash in a battle like never seen before in the WWE. The two stared off, the summertime heat getting more intense between the two of them, the clash now six days away! Summerslam then arrived, live in Los Angeles, California for the third consecutive year. Throughout the night, we were reminded of the huge main event between The Rock and John Cena. Cena continued to mock the Rock throughout the night, getting Triple H to do his 'The Crock', and by saying he's going to send The Rock back into orbit (referencing his satellite appearances.) The Rock fired back though, saying Barney needs to learn that he can't play on the big boy's TV shows, and tonight the 'Yabba Dabba Bitch' is getting put down! With all the talking over, Cena and Rock were ready too confront. The matches had all passed, and just the main event was left. Six months of tension boiled over, The Rock vs. John Cena was happening now! | John Cena vs. The Rock | Both men recieved a fantastic reception on entry, with Cena making his way out first followed by The Rock. The two squared up to start, before, for the first time, trading rights and lefts. The Rock's hands moving like lightning help him take the advantage in the early going, forcing Cena out into the turnbuckle, where he stopped for some respite. The Rock looked ready to lay the smack, and didn't let up, but the powerful rights of Cena brought him back into the match, getting some solid rights into the ribs and then the face of the Great One. The two then backed off, before the wrestling moves came out, and the pace picked up. Quick snap suplexes from both, headlock takedowns, neither man taking the advantage. Then, a mistake from Rock, as he went for his signature Samoan Drop only for Cena to escape and hit the Proto-Plex. Cena then went for his Five Knuckle Shuffle, emphasizing the 'You Can't See Me', before waiting for The Rock to get to his feet. Mocking Rock by bouncing up and down, Cena was ready, and lifted Rock for the Attitude Adjustment, but Rock managed a touche moment, scrambling out and hitting a Tornado DDT. Rock then got to his feet, and traded more blows with Cena, before bounding him off the ropes and hitting a huge Spinebuster! He then waited for Cena to get to his feet, bouncing up and down, and when Cena rose, hit the Rock Bottom! He then flung his elbow pad into the crowd, and and bounced off the ropes, before hitting Cena with the most electrifying move in all of Sports Entertainment, The People's Elbow! Rock covered, but only managed a two count! He then pulled Cena to his feet, but Cena immediately pulled Rock in, and nailed a huge Attitude Adjustment, also getting a two count! With energy spent, both men fed off the crowd, and tried to get to their feet. Rock did, and then Cena did, with Rock being planted by a threesome of Shoulder Blocks when he did, Cena somehow channeling the crowd to help him. He then went for a Second Five Knuckle Shuffle, but this time Rock kipped up, and hit a Samoan Drop as Cena ran in, before mocking his 'You Can't See Me' hand gesture. He then bent down to pick Cena up, but was pulled down with a drop toe-hold, and locked into the STF! Cena pulled hard on The Rock's neck, desperately trying to make him tap, but Rock was determined not to. The two struggled against each other for two or so minutes, before The Rock somehow got to the rope, breaking the hold. Cena then lifted up Rock, and in shades of Stone Cold Steve Austin, went for The Rock Bottom. However, he couldn't manage it, as Rock knee'd him, and nailed him with a second Rock Bottom! He then pulled himself to his feet with ropes, and threw off his other elbow pad, and hit a second People's Elbow before collapsing on Cena. He covered, and the ref counted. One Two Thr- Kick Out! The Rock looked shocked, and unsure of what to do next! He dragged Cena to his feet, and yelled at him to stay down, and threw him in the corner. He then placed him on the top rope, and went for a suplex, but Cena blocked. Rock tried again, but Cena again blocked, and in an amazing show of strength, pulled Rock into position for a Fall Away Slam, before throwing him up onto his shoulders! Rock struggled, and Cena stood up, the crowd in awe at this! Cena then jumped off the top ropes, launching Rock through the air, nailing a massive Attitude Adjustment! Cena then crawled to the cover, and won the longest three count of his career! The crowd exploded, as John Cena had defeated an icon of Sports Entertainment, The Rock! | Winner: John Cena |
Afterwards, John Cena layed on top of the Rock, as the referees pulled him to his feet, raising his arm. Cena was exhausted, having put in a helluva battle to earn the biggest win of the year. He threw up his signature hand gesture weakly, celebrating the big win, as The Rock somehow pulled himself to his feet after the huge Attitude Adjustment. Cena looked over at Rock, perplexed at the site of him standing, and in a show of respect for his tenacity, extended his hand. The Rock looked around wondering what to do. With the crowd behind both men, and urging The Rock to take Cena's hand, he did, and the two shook hands, before somewhat shockingly, The Rock raised Cena's arm before leaving him to soak up the glorious cheers for this huge victory at the biggest event of the summer, SummerSlam.
