Anyone know why the British Bulldog worn jeans during his last WWF run in 1999? I always thought it was a tad weird.

Tried and went for a new look maybe?? Too bad it didn't pay off for him. Lord only knows why they paired him up with The Mean Street Posse...

WWE wanted to have him look the part for the Attitude era, I'm guessing.

I don't know why he was Jean clad, but I loved the look.
Davey Boy is easily one of the first wrestling heroes of my childhood. Or even not using hero, the first villain I really like.

Probably had something to do with his back being too wrecked to squeeze into wrestling gear every night.

Yeah, well they were wrong if you ask me, I hate the Jean look Well I hated the tights, and I think it was about changing the presence of look. Like Undertaker has, and even Kurt Angle. Anyways, I hated the tights... but had he went with them, this is the only acceptable look. Here's a better picture, everything but the frilly look at the ankles. I forget what they call that but it's really gay.

CBT, you tell that to Ultimate Warrior. I'm sure he's gay, what with that "queering don't make the world work" speech.

I mean how old were you when Davey wore the Tights? 12? When he started you weren't alive. The Jeans look was a horrible idea for Davey and an obvious low point in his career.

You have a right to an opinion and I have a right to mine. Age plays no factor, ass, when you can easily get ahold of anything on the internet and appreciate. No matter if you were alive when it happened or not.
That said, all I'm saying is I don't think the jeans were poor choice. He needed a character revival, in terms of image. He was still the British Bulldog, but it was all about reinventing his image.
So really, I don't view the board enough to dispute what he wore to the ring. That argument is insufficient. How is when I was born a factor on my opinion of the look he came to WWF with in his last run?
See. I don't get why people insist on starting something, based on the most ignorant statements.
Could it be possible to have expressed your opinion without relating my age in an other-wise irrelevant statement. I guess I can't know anybody prior to 1989?
What a stupid analysis. What point are you trying to prove so we can be done with it?

However, jeans weren't the way to go. Obviously, you can tell now it did nothing to his career. Im willing to guess if you asked anyone how they remember the bulldog, they won't say in jeans..They'll tell you either the classic pants or the union jackers. -3L

I remember he occasionally wore a wifebeater in things like promos, and that looked a little better, but really, jeans are usually a dead give-away for a pointless wrestler who can't make it in the big leagues. That isn't Bulldog at all.

^ Yeah he wore tights for the first few weeks of his 1999 return. I believe it was after Unforgiven in the Six-Pack Challange that Davey switched over.
I just ask because I just finished reading "Under The Mat" by Diana Hart and I was hopign she would've answered a lot of questions surrounding Davey. This was one of those question. She did mention that his skin had turned color due to all the crap he was on.

It's just not. Saying you hate his tights look means you hated 95% of his career and only liked him when he was a glorified jobber with nu-metal music. Also lets stop with the name calling little boy.

Also lets stop with the name calling little boy. You need to relax. Just because you lived through it, doesnt mean it means more to you than someone else who has gone back to watch, enjoy, and appreciate it. It just means you are older. My dad lived through Star Wars, does that mean he gets it better than I did when I saw it? No way. It still blew me away and entertained me, just the way him watching the Bulldog did to him. I personally LOVED the jean look. He looked ing rough and bad ass. Better than ing stupid braided hair.
