85-96 ish. Anything Pre-attitude. The problem with the attitude era is lot of those guys are in TNA or on bad terms with wwe. And that was not that long ago. They had tons of figures made of those guys (not by mattel or same quality) but mattel has made the big names from that time, Stone Cold, Rock, undertaker, etc.
This is a Legends line, give me the real Legends of the 80s and early/mid 90s.

1975-2002 Any legends from before that era will be icing on the cake.

Those are EXACTLY my Years! 85-96! I loved the monday night wars/attitude era and all very much. But, collected those figs from 96-04, just burnt out on that era! Still didnt get my Legends fill from Jakks CS though, So I want More: #1 fig on my list RIGHT NOW: Hercules (wm 3-4 version) white skin, Ripped to the gills, trimmed hair/beard, black trunks! w/Chain!

I think it would be cool if they did 6 per set and did one star from each decade in every set:
1970's 1980's 1990's 2000's
and then the other 2 from any decade.
I think their focus should probably be the attitude era though as I am betting that their target demo is most familiar with that era.

I'm completely burnt out on the attitude era, guys like gangrel, shamrock, meat, albert, test, blue meanie, al snow ... Who cares... Do the big names from attitude but focus on the old school guys, its a legend line.
Hercules, earthquake, hogan, undertaker , razor, flair, gonzalez, andre, bret etc etc

My easy answer is all eras but to stay within your request I'll do this instead:
WCW - 1991-92 [for now no Sting boooo TNA, but I'm thinking Luger, Steiner Brothers, Ron Simmons, Dustin Rhodes, Barry Windham, Stunning Steve, Larry Zbysko, Arn Anderson and Bobby Eaton primarily]. Then move along to the nWo era, but I'd love to get the Rock n' Roll Express, Midnight Express, Nikita and 4H from 87 too.
WWF {93-96) save tag teams and big guys like Hogan and JYD, the mid 80s has been getting a decent amount of love. I'll go with the New Generation era with various Bret and HBKs, All-American Luger, Yokozuna, Diesel, Razor, 1-2-3 Kid, Marty Jannetty, Sid, Tatanka, Kama, Smoking Guns, Backlund and blue blood Helmsley. They would look the most toy-etic with the colorful attires and gimmicks. I love the Attitiude era, but everyone pretty much wore black, making for a pretty boring display.

Personally I'd like to see anyone who was made as a Hasbro get a legends/DM style.

I'd like to see some WCW guys. I really want Diesel and Razor right now. They aren't with TNA, Hall reportedly got sent to rehab through the WWE's rehab policy, and Nash has reportedly signed a Legends deal with the WWE. So I'd say they're on pretty good terms with the E.

I'm partial because I started watching in late 96. In general my favorite era is WWF 95-98. 97 is my favorite year overall so I'd like stuff like a blueblood era HHH, classic Goldust, masked 97 era Vader and a 95 attire HBK and Bret.

All Era's would be fine with me... I wish they would make some that jakks dropped the ball on, mainly a early nwa line but they would be dead in the water unfortunatly. I think Jakks has covered just about everyone that Mass collectors wanted (with the exception of savage and owen), Mattel just does a better job with their attires so I don't see their legends line becoming nearly as successful as Jakks did, Like the old saying goes... Been there done that............Unfortunatly......

If you cant do it First, Do it better Mattel Does a Better Job with everything, not just the attires. Jakks put out the same figures over and over again w/ new paint and new heads. Plus Mattel is a Bigger and Better Company than jakks, Im sure they'll do just fine in the long run

Every era needs to be covered however they need to limit thing in each era. Someone like General Rection does not and should not be made. Following the same guidelines, Iron Mike Sharpe doesnt need to be made either. Personally I think 1987-1992 were the prime years for Wrestling in WWF and NWA/WCW. To me that should be the main focus on any legends/classic line with sprinkled in stars from the 70s and late 90s.

This era gets my vote too... Have to include the guys from both WWF and WCW My vote also. There are more figures from this era I would be interested in than any other. I agree that they need to focus on that era of WCW as well; it has been greatly underrepresented in figure form.

I prefer the 80's early 90's, but I understand the need for Attitude era figs as well.
