October 17th, 2010 - Soldier Field - Chicago, IL "Bears play all-around good in thriller game which ends in loss; Bears advance to 4-2."
It's a shame that Chicago lost here, as they are now 2nd in the NFC North. This game started off, Hester giving Chicago the ball at mid-field, and after a valiant effort, Chicago had to punt. Seattle came out with a three and out and had to punt as well. As the game moved on in the first quarter, Cutler threw a 76 yard pass on a four verticals to Terrell Owens who has crept through the lineup since his injury. Hester got the ball on a WR reverse for a loss. Cutler took advantage with a 13 yard touchdown to Johnny Knox for the TD. Matt Hasselbeck and the Seahawks responded big, or so we thought. They got four first downs on this one, but Seattle missed a 41 yard field goal, allowing Chi-Town to get the ball at about mid-field, leading to more Forte dominance, and Cutler ran back to hit Forte with a draw for the TD. 14-0, it looked like Chicago would cruise through for a victory. Meanwhile, as the game went on, the second had 3:13 to offer, and Seattle marched up the field, with some setbacks though. Hasselback hit Carlson for the TD. But they left 58 seconds on the clock, in which Cutler dominated, going 8-11 with 113 yards in the first half. But as that happened, his streak continued until he attempted a long bomb to Olsen, intercepted by Trufant, who ran back for a good 50 yards, taking Seattle to Chicago's 24. After a three and out, Seattle hit a field goal, to make it 14-10.
As we entered the second half, Seattle's returner, Washington had gave Seattle amazing position, ran down on the sideline of Chicago's 45. Forsett got a 12 yard run, and a 10 yard run, as they were in position already. They eventually were shut down to a field goal. Chicago needed to respond here tonight, but as they marched down the field, Cutler threw yet another wild pass, and got an interception downed by I don't know who. Seattle took over with a touchdown drive and were up 20-14. Chicago responded in the fourth, connecting two field goals to tie the game with 4 minutes left. Alot happened in this four minutes. Chicago got an interception, punted the ball off, and Seattle came down and hit a game-winning field goal to win the game 4-2, and Seattle advantaged to I believe 4-2 as well.
Cutler: 24/37; 313 yards - 1 TD and 2 INT. Forte: 15 attempts; 64 yards and 1 TD. Owens: 2 receptions; 101 yards. Urlacher: 1 INT and 7 tackles (3 assisted and 1 sack.)[/font]
