I figured since there are now 10 different basic series sets out, why not see what set is the wrestlingfigs.com favorite. Mine would have to be series 7. It had 3 new figure releases in it (Sheamus, McCool, Tatsu). Plus, the hunt for this set was super-intense.
For all of you who have forgot, here are the lineups:
Series 1- Cena, Bigshow, Kingston, Bourne, HHH, Batista Series 2- Mysterio, Kane, Swagger, Kozlov, Punk, Henry Series 3- Jericho, Undertaker, Khali, Mickie James, Orton, Benjamin Series 4- HBK, Ziggler, Goldust, Matt Hardy, MVP, Regal Series 5- Knox, Hurricane, R-Truth, Melina, Cena, Batista Series 6- Dibiase, The Miz, Bigshow, Kelly Kelly, Edge, McIntyre Series 7- Sheamus, Tatsu, McCool, Mysterio, Kingston, Undertaker Series 8- Maryse, Christian, Masters, Finlay, Kane, Kingston Series 9- Swagger, Henry, Natalya, Bourne, Mysterio, JTG Series 10- Ryder, Barrett, HHH, Kingston, Ziggler, Cena

Not a big fan of Basics, but I like Series 10 cause of Wade.

It's hard to choose since are we talking about actual first releases, or are we talking about now, retrospectively looking back? Some of those sets are quite good, but Mattel have now 1-up'd the originals.
Series 4 was awesome, but better versions of each guy exist elsewhere now.

Gotta say Series 1 mainly because it was the series that showed what Mattel could really do

It was BASICally a tie between 4 and 7. 7 because Sheamus and Tatsu were two of my top wants at the time.
But, I went with 4 because I actually bought MVP, Goldust, Regal, Ziggler, and Hardy. And, I still use all except for MVP in my fed(only because I replaced him with his 2-Packs fig.

I may never understand how JTG got a BASIC and an ELITE.

Series 10 easily. It had a perfect Dolph Ziggler, a perfect Triple H, Zack Ryder, Wade Barrett and an awesome Kofi. I think after that is series 4 then series 7. Series 9 and 6 were the worst IMO.

Series 10 because it had Zack Ryder.
Oh and Wade Barrett. But mostly because of Zack Ryder.
