We don't have a general MMA board as such and since this is the most viewed board maybe we could have a topic for our training ? STICKIED PERHAPS?
Competed in a no-gi tournament yesterday, round robin with 3 matches. Lost all 3, two on points and one by armbar ( i was winning on points till here ) . Not too disappointed as i competed with out a corner . Still getting the hang of points too, will post when i see the videos on youtube.
I only train BJJ really at the moment, did 3 months of Thai everyday 5 3 days a week in summer.

I've worked in the indy wrestling for a bit, about 3-4 years, so I'm in decent shape, and I was going to go head across to the MMA gym from my work that recently opened and started to see if it was something that I'd enjoy. But had to put a hold on anything like that since I'm moving to the U.S

If I wasn't swamped with medical issues, I would have given this career a serious shot. I did wrestling, boxing and Aikido growing up and through high school, but alas, it was not meant to be.

A little boxing here and there. My sister grew up with a guy who ran a little hole-in-the-wall boxing place in the old neighborhood I grew up in. So he taught me a few things and I taught my them to my friend. So every few days we go out back and spar.
Nothing serious, just a good way to blow of steam, have fun, and keep ourselves in decent shape.

I currently train with my cousin's friend. He has been training MMA for i think 8 years. I'm going to have my first fight when I turn 18. I have a purple belt in Tae Kwon Do and wrestled one year (this year) in high school.

I've been doing kickboxing since I was 11 or 12, and have been training jiu-jitsu with Ricardo Almeida and Renzo Gracie since 2001 or 2002.

I did karate throughout grade school and quit when I was in 9th grade. And I did wrestling all throughout middle school and high school. I've been doing some training in BJJ and Judo but only to stay in shape. I'm not looking to get into anything serious but I did seriously contemplate it when I started to watch MMA. I would like to try it out but I want to get a little more experience first.

I roll with some friends and trainers, but nothing serious. Way too out of shape, although we'll see where it can go.

I wrestled in high school and learned a lot of Judo and Sombo due to my coach's background. I regret not wrestling in college as I know I would have done really well. 10 years later this January I joined a gym and started taking MMA classes. Although I tore the meniscus in my knee at the end of February and just had knee surgery a couple weeks ago. I'll be back on the mat in the next month, in 6 I'd like to compete in a No Gi competition, but we'll see how it fairs.

Just finished a month at AKA. Took no gi grappling and muay thai classes four times a week and am addicted to it now.
Gotta make some cash so I can go back.

I started around 2 years ago shortly after I first got into MMA and wanted to pursue it as a career and been going strong ever since. Train at The Lab in AZ right now but once I'm 18 I want to move to California and train and the Nogueira gym.
