Then don't post in this thread if you don't like him. This is a place for his FANS to remember his career and pay respect to one of the BEST in the business EVER. And who the hell are you to tell people how they are supposed to react? Edge HIMSELF was crying, but I guess it's only wrestling and he shouldn't have been crying over it either by your flawed logic. Where do you get off telling fans of the guy, who have been dedicating to watching him for the last decade OR MORE in some cases, that they can't be upset that he's gone? It's going to be strange for all of us true fans, not seeing him on television anymore. I'm man enough to admit that, yes, I did shed a few tears on Monday, and no doubt I'll shed them again on Friday when I watch Smackdown. Wrestling is a HUGE part of my life, as it is with just about everybody on WRESTLINGfigs.com message board. Even moreso, Edge was a huge part of wrestling for ME, one of the biggest reasons I watched. And I'm ing HEARTBROKEN to have to see him go out like this. I'm sure all of his REAL fans will agree with me. If you can't come in here and respect the guy and talk about his legacy that he has to leave behind prematurely, then don't come in here at all. We don't need it. Blah Blah Blah wahhhhhhhh is all I read. How is my logic flawed? I can you compare the way he reacts to HIMSELF hanging it up and the way people like you are? Of course HE has ever right to shed a tear. This was his lively hood, this is what he did for a living. It is what he dreamed of doing and most of all effected him to the up-teenth degree. So yeah, he had a right to cry. Some of you people though who are crying about it are babies and need to get over it. It is okay to feel sad and say it sucks that he is gone if you're a fan thats fine. But to cry is a little much don't ya think? So don't my logic is flawed when clearly you are not the one gving up your lively hood and this is in no way affecting you in any major way. Why does it offend you so much? Why is it bad that they cried? I got a little misty eyed. I don't get the logic of there are worse things out there so you can't be upset about something less than those worse things. Maybe with all the problems people have they escape for a few hours on Monday or Friday to watch some wrestling. They set aside all their problems for those 4 hours a week. They are care free during that time. Now the person they watch and like is leaving and they won't see them again during those 2 hours on Monday and 2 hours on Friday. Upsetting that they escape from their problems and someone who has been in their home for the past 14 years who maybe has helped them smile a bit more during the day because they recall a funny thing that person said or even a great match that person had and when times get rough they can think about the time they spent watching it and enjoying it, that person won't be there again. That is why people can cry when a wrestler retires or dies.

One thing I like about the retirement is it shows how WWE cares for there employees, giving Edge tests to make sure he can compete regularly and advising him on what to do. Shame hes gone but glad hes not permanently badly hurt.

I've always been a huge Edgehead, but after I read his book I became an even bigger Adam Copeland fan. It was hard watching one of my all time favorites hang up his boots. It was bittersweet having Edge retire, but it's alot better then him having another serious injury.

Edge has always been one of my favorites of all time and at first the retirement didnt sink in because it seemed so unreal. Not in a fake way but in a "I cant believe this is happening right now" way. Then on Friday when he came out one last time to give up the belt it all sank in and I was compleatly silent and in awe during the speech. We always thought Edge had a couple years left in him but no one saw this coming. If anything is to be learned from this, its that you dont know what you got untill its gone and anything can happen in pro wrestling. As fans we must cherish all of our favorites matches and moments because we truely dont know when they will end.

JR kept saying and they showed a something on Raw- Tonight- Edge makes a huge announcement. Career Over?" and King kept saying it's just a rumor. And I was shaking my head saying, nah it's just some announcement. He comes out, boom. It's real. I was speechless. Edge was never my favorite, but he was the first real star I saw. When he beat Rey Mysterio at Rumble and NWO 2008, I loved him all the way. Even though I cheer the heels, Miz and Ryder and Rhodes, I was and am so sad to see him go. But maybe he'll be an announcer and occasional appearance guy.

I think it is real. I am very sadden to see Edge go. He said the Doctors in the WWE is real good. Why couldn't they see if they could fix his neck so he could continue wrestling and not retire. Its like he is a part of our exstended family and we have been watching him since he started. I don't know if i can watch SmackDown knowing he want be on there anymore. It will be strange.

For my first post, I want to make it on here congratulating Edge of the great career. He was the reason why I began to watch the WWE, and continue to watch it each and every week. Thank you Edge for what you have done, you will be greatly missed.

Ric Flair and Shawn Micheal's left because they put their careers on the line in a match. That is different than what Edge had to do. He had to retire because of his health. Now Ric Flair is in TNA and Shawn is where ever he wants to be i guess. I Love you Edge

I seen Edge in a match at Roanoke Civic Center on March 19th 2011. After the match he looked so tired. I'm glad i saved those pictures now i have some memories and not the ones on the televison. But still it brings tears to my eyes that he has to retire. Maybe he can be a commentator or something because i read that his contract hasn't ran out yet.
