I'm watching the true story of Wrestlemania atm, and its talking about how Wrestlemania 2 was spilt and done in 3 different arenas, so basically what i'm getting to is, do you think that kind of concept would work today?

I'd hate it if I was there live but it'd make a TONNE of money so sure why not. It's not like I'm ever going to be at a WrestleMania anyway.

They'll never attempt it again...which is a shame. It would actually work way better today than it did back then. Their roster is more deep, the technology is better, and the planning would make it work.

Absolutely not. We discussed this on RBR a few weeks ago.
WWE doesnt have enough top draws to get people to buy tickets to a huge stadium to watch 3 matches and only one arena is guaranteed John Cena. There is no way this would work in 2011 especially with the way wrestling is looked at now.

I think it would work and would guarantee a lot of money for WWE. . . IF they find a way to not make the audience feel cheated that they didn't get their money's worth.

I love how on that DVD they made it out like it was a unique and great idea, when in reality they were just ripping off Jim Crockett Promotions who did they same thing a year earlier.

Honestly, for those complaining about WrestleMania never coming to Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Boston among other because they dont have a big enough indoor football stadium for Mania, they could do it for the cities who dont have football stadiums. Like have...
Pittsburgh - Has Randy Orton on their card
Boston - Has John Cena on their card
Philadelphia - Has Undertaker or Triple H on their card.
It could actually work. People would go regardless who is on the card because its WrestleMania! Just alternate between venues with three or four matches per venue. And before WrestleMania actually starts maybe they can have a few more matches. It could work and it would make WWE ALOT of money.

It might work if they are not trying to fill up 3 60,000 seat stadiums at the same time.

WWE is so big on football stadium Wrestlemania's nowadays, that the question that can be asked "How will they ever bring Wrestlemania back to smaller arena's?"; if they do this conept again, I think they should use the same states so that they know there's a good chance of selling out - reguardless what the card offers. Chicago, LA, and New York City should all host one Wrestlemania, and will have a great chance of being successful.

I think it would so work. Maybe they could just keep it to two arenas? Have one being headlined by Cena, and the other headlined by Orton, or Trips. Hell, if you wanted to be really crazy, have one in the US and another in the UK

Well usually there is 3 big matches for Wrestlemania. Wrestlemania 27: Miz/Cena, Edge/Del Rio, Taker/HHH. Wrestlemania 26 had four: Batista/Cena, Jericho/Edge, McMahoan/Hart, Taker/HBK.
Those are just 2 examples. If they wanted to just split the three big matches up. I don't think they'd ever do this again but it could work.

I know a lot of people feel it'd be a horrible idea because you'd miss a majority of the experience live and when you consider all the fanfare stuff and production it'd be pretty damn impossible. But i'd like to see it have a another go. But i'm also just as sincerely interested in seeing them make it international.. e.g. the UK or any other countries beyond the U.S. & Canada.

the question is would people be willing to sit live and watch,at most, 3 matches live, then watch the rest on a big screen in the stadium they're at?

Only if they don't do them in stadiums, but regular arenas.

No, they weren't, but even if they were that was STILL incorrect since Wrestlemania 2 wasn't on pay per view, it was still closed circuit.

The way Mania is a nearly week long event now, they won't spread it out like that.
It was neat when they did it, but I'm sure they haven't done it again for a reason. It may have just not been worth the hassle to them.
