Here's something I'd like to see some opinions on:
Of all the major champions of the past (let's say the world champs or U.S./Intercontinental level champs from the WWF, Crockett, AWA, World Class, original ECW, or any other promotion you deem worthy), which wrestlers do you think get LESS respect than they deserve, historically?
I have a couple guys in mind...
Pedro Morales -- I think Pedro gets forgotten or underestimated a lot because up until Bob Backlund's title win, he was the only babyface world champ of the WWF other than Bruno. Pedro got less attention than Bruno, but I have read that he was a pretty good draw in his prime.
It also doesn't help that he ended his career as a frequent jobber on WWF TV in the 1980s. Has any other WWF world champion ever been COMPLETELY reduced to jobber status the way Pedro was? I mean, everyone does the job here or there, but Pedro was a full-blown jobber.
Mike Rotunda -- He was very, very good in the ring for a U.S. or IC level wrestler. His look wasn't that great, and he tended to sweat like a waterfall in a long match, but I sometimes think it's a shame that he's best remembered for his gimmicks, particularly IRS.
Thoughts?

Ultimate Warrior Though he's generaly regarded as crazy or just being a bad worker in the ring, you can't deny the impact of his short career. I mean he got himself over to almost Hogan levels at a time when Hogan was red hot and the top guy. Plus he ended up giving Hogan his first clean defeat and the first man to hold the IC and World title at the same time. When you actually think of what he accomplished, past the whole rambling promos or lack of mat work, it's quite impressive.
And i totally agree on Pedro Morales plus you forgot to mention he was the first man to hold the WWF World Title, WWF IC Title and WWF World Title. Back then that was a HUGE deal and even now it could be considered as impressive, considering theres only been 17 people to do it.

David Von Erich - When ask someone about the Von Erichs, nine times out of ten I guarantee you they'll say 'Texas Tornado', or 'Kerry', and hold him in regards as the best. I feel David is criminally underrated. He was the best wrestler out of all of them, was the best on the interviews, and I have NO DOUBT he would have been a major player in the WWF or NWA (ultimately later on, WCW) had he not died in 1984.
