Why was Randy Savage a commentator? Was he hurt? Also, did he walk off the set once duration a tv show? Maybe that was a dream.....

I am not too sure why Randy Savage was a commentator. He may have wanted a break from the ring to do commentating for a bit or may have been injured. I believe Savage did walk off the set once, but that was to run to the back and ambush Crush one time on Monday Night Raw.
It's hard to believe that Savage hasn't been back in the WWE not once since they let him go back in 1994. I'm sure he'll be back when they induct him into the Hall of Fame.

I don't think they ever will induct him into the HOF,

^ Well, never say never. If they inducted Hogan and Bret, they'll induct Savage.

Yeh but - its kinda weird - Vince would mention hogan & bret's names even when he was on real bad terms with them. But with macho man....absolutely nothing! Maybe theres something personal between the both of them (im not talking about him "sleeping with steph"), that us fans don't know about.

Back when there was a Smackdown magazine they did an article in the "Where are they now?" section on Savage. It was in one of the last few issues of that mag.

Savage did a little commentating after he lost his "retirement match" to Warrior. He quickly came back and wrestled Flair. He went back to the booth after he was injured.

I remember when watching the Monday Night Wars DVD, they made it seem as if Vince stuck Savage with the commentating job because Bischoff said that Savage didn't want to commentate, he wanted to wrestle, but Vince made him become an announcer which was supposedly part of why he went to WCW.
