Ok I know there probably has but I can't think of any rite at the moment.
Has there ever been a WWF/E Champion(not IC or Tag) but WWF/E CHAMP that has been a face and turned heel while still champ, or vice versa a WWF/E Champ that was Heel but turned Face while still being a Champ?

I think Austin. I mean he was cheered at WMX7 but the next night was booed, so I dunno.
Also Booker T. He was WCW champion and a face during the WCW vs. WWF Angle and then team WCW turned heel.

Randy Orton 1st reign in 2004. Won the title at Summerlsam 2004, was attacked by Evolution the following night. Must be a Randy name thing.

Austin went from being face to heel to face to heel to face again in 2001, if that counts for anything. Yeah, he was heel at Survivor Series, then came out on Raw and was inexplicably face. |

RVD was face at ONS when he beat Cena but was booed afterwards

Definatly Savage. Also, it happened with Flair a couple times in WCW/NWA.

Kurt Angle in 2002. Brock Lesnar had just turned face and he befriended Brock so that Lesnar helped him take the title off Show in 2002. But he turned heel like the next show, refusing to pay back Lesnar and instead forming Team Angle.
Also, DDP in 1999. Won the title at Spring Stampede as a face, but quickly turned heel( although they had been subtedly starting his turn for a while).
Oh and Ric Flair in 1999, right before DDP.
