Well, did the Big Boss Man Vs. Undertaker match at WrestleMania 15 really need to be Hell In A Cell?
I mean, looking at it on paper, it looks great, but, even tho it is my favourite match of all time, I just think that it was a bit too short, and if it was a normal, lets say No DQ match, then I just think that it would have been good at the length it was given.

It was a nothing match, followed by a pitiful angle that looked false & the entire audience shat on from a great height. HIAC could have been built as such a great tradition, akin to WCW's War Games and for me this match stopped that. One of the problems was Taker had his Streak going by then & Boss Man was at that stage a midcarder, no-one thought he had a chance in hell, pardon the pun, of winning.

I thought it was interestingly good. Granted, crappy angle, but you cannot change the past.

I actually liked it. I thought they could have been given much more time though but what can you do? Taker was about to go on his "Kidnap Stephanie" angle and at that point he was virtually untouchable by anybody except Stone Cold Steve Austin. A month later at Backlash he destroyed Ken Shamrock. Then the Corporate Ministry angle came into fruition. A great time for the WWF IMO.

The match was too short and not that good. The only memorable thing that happened was the hanging, which wouldn't have been possible without the cell.

yeh I guess they had to add a massive and enticing stipulation to the match - otherwise the crowd would have been sleeping

The match was horrid. It should just have not happened.

it was a very bad match, and that's basically all there is to it.

This match stunk. I think they never really had a chance. Bossman wasn't over enough to be in a hell in the cell at this point. With the expectations after the Michaels/Taker match and Taker/Mankind, this match had no chance at satisfying anyone.

Looking back, WrestleMania 15 was one of the worst WrestleMania's which is funny because 1999 had the highest rated RAW's and is considered by many as one of the best years of wrestling.

Yeah, the only real impressive things about it were the double turn, Owen's perfect missle dropkick, Al Snow being pure gold, and Foley in the Rock/Austin match.

I remember the day after WM I asked a friend about the event and when it got to that match he said "That match sucked. Undertaker just beat the crap out of Bossman the whole time." And that was a fifth grader's take on Taker/Bossman.
