Would love to see Bully Ray get used well, he actually got me back in to TNA recently after a leave of absence from the product. British Invasion vs Beer Money at the PPV should be great, big fan of both teams but I am kind of hoping British Invasion win the gold. Sting vs Abyss has some bad stigma attached to it because of their previous feud but I've always been a fan of abyss and like that he's getting the title shot. Would like to see Daniels win the #1 contendership, as the previous Sting vs Daniels feud was pretty awesome. Dunno who Kazarian's mystery opponent would be, I'd mark for El Generico but I imagine it'll be someone returning to the company.

solid so far eddie, as i knew it would be. love the idea of the tournament, a great idea to define the heavyweight divisions up-and-comers and take the focus off the older guys' feuds. solid booking for impact, intriguing development with bully ray...tna should take note.
and damn, this makes me miss ewr.

TNA PRO WRESTLING: iMPACT! April 21st 2011"Calm Before The Storm"
____________________________________________________________________________________________________After the iMPACT! opening video, a video replaying the return of Mick Foley to TNA is shown. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________MATCH 2 v. 2: Parker Evans & Brian Kendrick vs. Generation Me MATCH HIGHLIGHTS: X-Division champion Kazarian was on commentary for this showcase. Parker Evans and Jeremy Buck began the match, with Parker showcasing his break dancing abilities which whiled up the iMPACT Zone crowd, but pissing off Gen Me. Brian Kendrick sat calmly on the apron until being tagged in by Parker. Kendrick snapped out of his zen-like state, tossing Jeremy Buck out of the ring and diving outside of the ring on top of him! Following this, Max Buck hit a dove onto Kendrick! to top this off, Parker Evans climbed the top rope and hit a breathtaking 630 splash onto both members of Gen Me. The iMPACT Zone exploded, as did Frankie Kazarian at the announce table openly admitting that he's worrying about what he might have to go against with his mystery opponent at "Riot!" Kendrick managed to get to his feet, drag Jeremy Buck into the ring, and pin him for the victory. WINNER: Parker Evans and Brian KendrickPost match, Kendrick ran off, with Parker left celebrating in the ring. Gen Me showed some obvious disruption in their tag team after recovering. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________A video package is shown, profiling the members of the new X - Division. "The Ultimate Luchadore" El Generico, "The Prince Of Portland" Parker Evans, Amazing Red, Brian Kendrick, Gen Me, & Kazarian were highlighted. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________BACKSTAGE: Immortal arrive to The iMPACT! None of them look happy, Mike Tenay comments. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________MATCH 1 v. 1: Robbie E w/ Cookie vs. Eric Young MATCH HIGHLIGHTS: Eric Young and Robbie E are already in the ring when we come back from commercial break. Right when they lock-up, Bully Ray's music hits. Bully Ray trudges down the ramp, with a trash can full of weapons. Robbie E and Cookie immediately run out of the ring and through the crowd to safety, while Eric Young stood frozen in fear in the ring. Bully Ray proceeded to completely annihilate Eric with the assortment of weapons, leaving him out cold in the corner of the ring. Ray grabbed the old, wrecked TNA World Heavyweight title Young had been carrying around, through it around his shoulder and left the ring. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________BACKSTAGE: Fortune's Locker room. All of the members of Fortune are seen hanging around in their locker room, and Tag Team Champions Beer Money's challengers The British Invasion with Desmond Wolfe barge in. Desmond Wolfe invites them next week to British Invasion's "Tea Party" and Beer Money accept. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________BACKSTAGE: Christy Hemme Rob Van DamIn a promo reminiscent of RVD in his years in ECW, RVD wanted Kurt Angle to know, even if Kurt's a wrestling machine, RVD is the whole ing show and that he's sure, that when Kurt is trying to sleep tonight, he'll look at the clock and know that it's 4: 20 and RVD smoked your ass. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________

FOLEY: "Hey, hey, lets keep his mother out of this, ladies."HERNANDEZ: "Foley, did you sign this cholo? is he here cause of you?"FOLEY: "... Yes, I take it you haven't seen Mr. Generico in the ring yet, have you?"HERNANDEZ: "It don't matter what he does in the ring, we see you back here again, we will take you out, bitch. Mexican America style." FOLEY: "No, you'll keep your hands off of him. You want him out? You'll deal with it in the ring, next week. You lay a hand him before that, you all lose your jobs here. it'll be you, Anarquia versus our my friend El Generico, with Generico's job on the line."HERNANDEZ: "Nuh, huh, Foley, this is my job, I'm takin' this little punk out."FOLEY: "I think you have something bigger to worry about next week, my friend."Hernandez gets a tap on the shoulder, it's Hernandez's opponent next week, Samoa Joe! ERIC BISCHOFF: "Oh, my goodness, what is that smell, Hulk?"HULK HOGAN: "Smells like a homeless man, Brother, like a dirty homelessman."MICK FOLEY: "What do you guys want?"HULK HOGAN: "So, this the "talent" you sign, brother? this twerp? why can't Immortal bring in any more people?"ERIC BISCHOFF: "You know what, Hulk, I'm talking to about our lawyers about that right now."HULK HOGAN: "I've got stars lining up, real talent, wanting in on this TNA thing, Mick"SAMOA JOE: "You know what, Hulkster, I don't think anyone wants to see Brutus Beefcake in TNA."HULK HOGAN: "You watch yourself, Joe, you're next brother. Out of no where Dinero hits the D'Angelo Dinero Express through Daniels and the locker room door! Dinero picks up the now out cold Fallen Angel and begins dragging him into The iMPACT Zone. When Dinero brings the Fallen Angel ringside, the crowd meets him with loud, loud booing. Mr. Anderson gets the 3 count and advances in the number one contender's tournament. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________BACKSTAGE: So Cal Val catches up with D'Angelo DineroSo Cal Val is backstage and she manages to get a word from D'Angelo Dinero who simply had one thing to say. "Thou shall not worship false prophets!" ____________________________________________________________________________________________________MATCH: 1 v. 1: Kurt Angle vs. Rob Van DamMATCH HIGHLIGHTS: In a truly, main-event quality match-up that TNA fans have been waiting for ever since Rob Van Dam's debut last year, The Whole F'n Show and The Wrestling Machine went all out. The match ended when during an Olympic Slam, Rob Van Dam's leg knocked out the referee! While Angle tried to revive the referee on the side of the ring, Jeff Jarrett and Karen Jarrett appeared ran to ringside and Jeff Jarrett walloped Kurt and shattered his guitar over his head! Jeff Jarrett got into the ring, while Karen revived referee Earl Hebner, and draped RVD's hand over Angle. Hebner counted the three count, and RVD advances to the four way dance at Riot In The Windy City. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________BACKSTAGE: The Jarretts EscapeKaren and Jeff Jarrett are seen running backstage to their car. While Jeff fumbles for his keys, a now recovered Kurt Angle is seen chasing after them! Kurt yells that he's gonna finish this off for good and that the Jarrett's are gonna regret this. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________MATCH: 1 v. 1: Rob Terry w/ Ric Flair vs. TNA World Heavyweight Champion Sting MATCH HIGHLIGHTS: Despite Ric Flair's best efforts at interference, "The Freak" Rob Terry just couldn't gain the upperhand over "The Icon" Sting. Ric Flair's constant attempts at interference caused the referee to throw him out of ringside, although this didn't matter. Immortal's Matt Hardy ran in from the crowd and jumped Sting! The referee disqualified Rob Terry immediately, but was quickly laid out by Ric Flair. Sting managed to put up a fight against Rob Terry, Matt Hardy and Flair, but quickly fell to the numbers when his challenger at Riot In The Windy City, Abyss, joined the fray. Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan appeared from backstage, applauding Immortal's efforts. Hulk Hogan even joined the assault, dropping a mean leg drop on the now bloodied Sting! Matt Hardy and Rob Terry went under the ring and drug out a wooden table. Abyss hit Sting with a black-hole slam while Hardy and Terry set up the table. Abyss picked up the limp, lifeless body of Sting and choke-slammed him straight through the table! iMPACT ended with the brutal site of a lain out World Champion and Hulk Hogan playing air guitar with Sting's title. Just want to say that I love the layout. Would've preferred Gen. Me to win but they might be splitting up. Not sure how I feel about Parker Evans being here. I like where you're going with Bully Ray's character. The 'tea party" should be entertaining. Would've preferred Winter to get the win but Love is fine. Happy Anderson won. Liking the Pope/Daniels feud. Glad RVD won. Hopefully, the Jarrett/Angle feud is ending soon. That or you can find a way to make it fresh. Good ending. Sets up the feud nicely.
Love the Slammiversary poster. Just great!
Overall a pretty solid show. Like I said either make it fresh or end the Jarrett/Angle feud. Hopefully, Anderson gets the title soon.
