I never cared for the Rock till he began his feud with Mankind.I felt when these two were in the ring with their different styles just clashed and made pure wrestling enjoyment. I have ot say some of my all time favorite matchs are the last man standing at st.Vals mass and the royal rumble I-quit match.

Yeah, his feud with Mankind was greatl. Always had great matches even though they were all gimmick matches lol. Ladder, Street Fight, Falls Count Anywhere, Last Man Standing, I Quit...

Their Royal Rumble match was by far the best, but the match on RAW where Mankind won the title and their Super Bowl Brawl were also great. I didn't like the finishes to their St. Valentine's Day Massacre and Rock Bottom matches.
Without this feud, Mankind couldn't have stepped up to that next level that he'd be at for the last year of his career, and The Rock would be hassled for being "too green." Thank God it happened though, because it showed The Rock had SERIOUS drawing power, even as a younger guy.

One of the best feuds that emerged from the attitude era - lovable mankind vs. the arrogant rock (who was now a corporate puppet for vince) - it was a good filler too to lead into the eventual austin/rock match at WM15. As you remember, it was austin's chairshot to rock which made him drop the strap to mankind in december 1998 on Raw.....ahhh good times
