Ok now this is something that I have never really heard on here before so I thought I would post it. I am not awear if people know or not but hasbro series 1 Hulk Hogan was available in the UK as a bagged mail away. It was done via a poster magazine here called sporting superstars now I tried my best to find a pic of the magazine and could only come up with this crap one. Now to get the figure you had to buy the video of best of saturday nights main event 9which I still have to this day lol) and they sent you it, it came in a bag like the red pants hasbro Hogan so I was wondering if any one has one still in the bag. Even better if any of you guys have any early copies of sportting superstars that you could post. Just thought this would make a interesting topic. Just want to add in case any one is unsure I am 100000 percent certain this is right as I remember clearly whe I was a kid i was not aloud to buy the Hogan figure in the shops as my mum said I might as well get the video. One more thing I posted a much better pic of a sporting superstars mag a while back but when I try to search the posts I can not find it. Do posts get deleted after a certain amount of time.

maybe it was the 1 on the picture but the only they sent out was the second version No they didn't they sent out the series 1 Hogan two of my friends at the time also got the same deal. In fact the deal was out before series 2 even hit the UK. Also I don't mean to be rude but I am not a moron and know what figure I was sent lol, I never posted this to confirm if i was right as I know for a fact I am. There must be someone else on here who got there S1 Hogan this was as well. The reason I am so positive is becasue woolworths had loads of Hogans on the shelf but I was not aloud one due to wating for it (it took a age to come)

All the first series and some of the second series were released in mail away bags in the uk. I have several including the hogan in question. Jake the snake, macho man, Boss man and Jim Duggan

Sorry to top old posts but I haven't looked on this bit of the board for ages but I posted earlier about this Hogan because it's driving me insane that I sold mine for a few pence. I found the video (I kept the video and sold the figure) It is the Best Of Saturday Night's Main Event and I did send off for the figure and I waited ages and it was slightly different to the series one figure. It was the same figure with a different print on the shirt saying Hulkamania instead of Hulk Rules. I'm sure many people here in the UK sent off for that figure because me and my friends were so hyped up waiting for wrestling figures and all we could get was thumb wrestlers so when that video came out I got it immediately and sent off the coupon straight away so I could be the first person I knew to have an "actual wrestling figure" The figure I got was definately the one with Hulkamania on the shirt and I'm almost certain it said Hulkamania in yellow on the head band too. I've never seen another one like it so I've recently started to think that it was an early version which was then quickly changed and since getting back into collecting wrestling figures (Hasbros and Jakks) I absolutely hate myself for selling it. I've managed to replace every other Hasbro figure that I sold when I was a kid but I have never seen another of those Hogans. Every time I think about it I start chain smoking.

Yep, I have bothe the Gorilla Press Slam and Hug figure in bags. One was from the Best of Hulkamania video and the other from the one the first poster talked about. Also, the Hogan and Savage were indeed mailaways with a very old cereal promotion.
In response to the ones being sold on UK ebay, they are fakes. The safety information is not printed on the bag but on a clear sticker, then stuck on the bag. Avoid them like the preverbial plague.
