I remember reading some time ago that Hart was in line to beat Hogan for the title, and Hogan simply refused to even step in the ring with Bret because Bret's style would have exposed Hogan no matter how much Bret carried the match; thus Hogan dropping the belt to Yoko and Bret eventually beating Yoko.
In WCW they fueded briefly but I can't recall if it was ever for a title, though I believe it was around the time of nWo Silver.

Also probably because hogan felt bret was too small.

lol, Hogan refused to drop to Brett because it would expose him. Are you kiddin me? He dropped the belt to Warrior, I think Brett could carry Hogan better than Warrior. Not even Brett has said Hogan refused to drop it. Stop spreading B.S.

This has been mentioned loads of times, Hogan even denies it in his book Story goes Bret was seen as too small which in fairness he was & so Hogan dropped to Yoko with the screwy exploding camera finish instead. Bret was apparently not best pleased.
In WCW there may have been a house show match but no one on one TV or PPV match, WCW really missed the boat on this one.

Maybe there was some internal heat between the 2 - hence WCW didn't want to risk putting it out on nationwide TV - you gotta also remember back then, Hogan had a lot of clout when it came to booking decisions in the WCW - so if he still had something towards Bret - he could have just made 1 call and got their match written off

lol, Hogan refused to drop to Brett because it would expose him. Are you kiddin me? He dropped the belt to Warrior, I think Brett could carry Hogan better than Warrior. Not even Brett has said Hogan refused to drop it. Stop spreading B.S. Let's look at this bit by bit, because I don't think you understood what I was saying: Bret would have exposed Hogan as a wrestler who was not technically sound whatsoever. I like Hogan, I was a Hulkamaniac as a child and I'm still a big fan of the Hulk, but let's be honest, Hogan was never a technical wrestler. Neither was the Warrior, nor any of the men that Hogan wrestled on a consistent basis at that point in his career. That is why Hogan would do the job to Warrior, it was a smart business move because Warrior was as over as porno at a 5th grade slumber party. Well, that and Warrior was garbage in the ring beyond power moves, so the two played off each other well. Could Bret have carried Hogan? Maybe. Would Hogan have allowed that to happen? We'll never know. Now as for me spreading BS? To quote Lee Corso: "Not so fast, my friend." I never purported that story as the God's honest truth. It's simply something I remember reading and I even stated as such. If that's been debunked, then great, though I have never read anything to the contrary. Nor am I attempting to spread a lie masked as a fact. So get over yourself.

I remember them having a match on a Nitro in 1998... I don't think it was much of a match, I think it was the 9-28-98 Nitro, I remember taping the episode. I think that may be the only "match" they've had. I think they only probably fought for like 5 minutes though, and I think Sting came out and caused a DQ.
