I didnt watch wrestling until maybe about the end of the Attitude Era. And i always never understood the tagline "WWF Attitude...Get It?"
.....What did get it mean?

IT didn't really have a meaning, just one day it showed up. It's kind of like "Do you get the WWE attitude?" I guess cuz it was a departure they were asking people if they get it. It wasn't like Ruthless Aggression where it was used in a speech or anything.

I also thought the slogan played off of people finally coming to grips with the idea that wrestling fans knew it was all "fake" and enjoyed it anyway.
McMahon and his wrestlers would be in character during WWF commercials, and at the end, he'd say "Get It?" with a little smile on his face. To me, that was sort of like a "wink-wink" to potential new fans... like telling them "we know you think this stuff looks over-the-top... we're doing it on purpose."
I never saw anyone from the WWF confirm that was part of the "Get It?" logic. That's just the impression I got from the whole campaign.

As a old time wrestling fan that dates back to the late 70's The Attitude era was the end of what was Pro Wrestling and the start of Sports Entertainment.
A very sad time for me a older fan.

I always figured that it was them telling you "this is WWF's attitude", Get it? They would play a video of all sorts of ridiculousness happening (Sable crawling around a table, Kane drinking coffee, Austin taking someone out with a chair, Mankind throwing a dude through a window off a balcony, etc), and then the "Get It?" played at the end, asking, basically, "Now that you've seen the clip, do you get what Attitude is about?"
That's how I always interpreted it.
