With the absence of number one contender Chris Benoit, Johnny Nitro took the spotlight at Vengeance: Night of Champions and defeated CM Punk to be crowned the new ECW Champion! Now the top man in ECW, Nitro has a target on his chest, as many of the ECW extremists have set their sights on the belt. Nitro’s ECW title victory is just one of the first signs of the new era of Extreme Championship Wrestling.
