ROH Best In The World 6/26/11 ResultsThe show opened with a video package of Davey Richards matches since the American Wolves Split. Richards was shown after the package and said he's coming for Edwards title sooner rather than laterTomasso Ciampa w/Prince Nana vs. Adam Cole- The fans got behind Cole a lot in this opener which perhaps shows that the ROH officials will have to look at giving him a push
- Both men worked a good match and it served well in building the crowd's anticipation for the event
- Cole picked up the win after a Superkick
Winner: Adam ColeAfter the match the cameras cut to the back. The All Night Express were shown in the back and they hyped the feud with the Briscoes and said tonight they would end it by proving they are the best team in the World.Kings of Wrestling vs. Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team- The crowd were surprised to see this match second on the card but given how stacked this event's card is it's no surprise that the tag match with less hype was first on
- These two teams once again showed why they are considered to be the best teams in wrestling today and the crowd ate it up
- Hero was particularly impressive in this match and a legitimate main event push has to be on the horizon sometime soon
- The best spot of the match came when Shelton Benjamin nipped up after giving Castagnoli the Pay Dirt only to be caught with a Rolling Elbow by Hero
- The Kings surely earned themselves a rematch after they picked up the victory via the Rubik's Cube on Charlie Haas
Winners: Kings of WrestlingJimmy Jacobs was then shown in a dark room holding a railroad spike. He remarks that this is the same spike he used when Age of The Fall tore ROH apart the first time around. He remarked that it would happen again as tonight marks the second coming of the Age Of The FallJimmy Jacobs vs. Jay Lethal- Lethal received a hugely positive reaction from the ROH faithful and played to the crowd, while Jacobs was met with a chorus of boos from the ROH fans who seemed almost angry to see him back
- This match didn't quite live up the expectations that the crowd had from it but that could also have been down to how pumped up they were after the last match
- Lethal seemed to have some ring rust after not working for the last few months of his TNA tenure but Jacobs managed to carry him to what was a reasonably average match
- Jacobs played the part of the heel perfectly and at points it felt as though the crowd were going to attack Jacobs at many points throughout the match
- After around 15 minutes of action Jacobs tried to use the spike but Lethal stopped him and hit the Lethal Injection to pick up the win
- Jacobs used the spike on Lethal post match before celebrating to the crowd's disapproval
Winner: Jay LethalEddie Edwards was then shown in the back. He said everyone has been asking him why he hit Richards with the title and he said that the only people who need to know that are him and Davey Richards. He knows it and pretty soon Davey Richards will know it. And if Richards has a problem with that he knows where to find him.4 Corner Survival- Davey Richards vs. Steve Corino vs. Homicide vs. Colt Cabana- This match was mainly used to reignite the feud between Steve Corino & Homicide as the two men brawled for a good portion of the match
- Richards and Cabana excelled in bringing the technical element of the match and the two exchanged holds for the opening part of the match
- Richards was made to look extremely strong in this and the only explanation is to continue building him up as a threat to Edwards title
- Homicide and Corino eventually stopped fighting in the ring and took it to the outside before fighting off into the crowd leaving Cabana & Richards to finish the match
- Cabana nearly won the match after a Bionic Elbow but Richards kicked out after 2
- Richards took firm control and a DR Driver II looked set to have won the match but Cabana found the strength to kick out
- Richards locked in the Cloverleaf for the win
- After the match Davey made the motion of a strap around his waist, signalling he is gunning for Edwards
Winner: Davey RichardsJim Cornette was then shown in the back, he remarked that if Corino & Homicide want to fight each other that badly they've got it next month in Richmond, VA at Death Before Dishonor Night 1ROH World Television Championship (House of Truth banned from Ringside): Christopher Daniels vs. El Generico- This match was an incredible encounter that led a "Match of The Year" chant from the crowd
- Generico was out to avenge the abuse he has suffered at the House of Truth and also to win his first championship in singles competition in ROH
- The two men exchanged chops and punches for most of the match and Generico's chest was almost purple with bruises at the end of the match
- Generico battled his way out of almost everything Daniels threw at him showing that he wanted to leave with the Television Championship
- Daniels did his fair share of fighting out of Generico's offense as well. And both men came to a stalemate which the crowd applauded
- Generico kicked out of the Angel's Wings before he moved out of the way of the BME
- Daniels then kicked out of a brainbuster to show that he wasn't going to give up the Television championship that easily
- Generico then put Daniels on the top rope and drilled him with a BRAINBUSTAH!
- Generico then managed to pin Daniels for the win
- After the match Generico celebrated with his newly earned title and left Daniels sitting in the ring
Winner and new ROH Television Champion: El GenericoThe Briscoes were shown in the parking lot, they spoke about the All Night Express' lack of respect and how they think they are much better than they actually are and say once again the Briscoes will prove that they are the best Tag Team in ROH.Non Title Match: ROH Champion Eddie Edwards vs. Delirious- The crowd didn't get into this match very much and really saw Delirious as fodder for Edwards
- Delirious got in a good amount of offense in the early stages of the match but it never looked as though he would pick up a win against the champion
- Edwards made his way back into the match and looked to put Delirious away quickly but Delirious didn't go down easily
- Delirious kicked out of a Die Hard Driver but could not get out of the Achiles lock and was forced to tap out
- After the match Jimmy Jacobs came out with the railroad spike and looked set to hit Delirious with it. Jacobs instead grabbed a mic and extended the invitation for Delirious to rejoin the Age of The Fall. Delirious accepted and raised Jacobs arm as the two men were surrounded by a chorus of boos
Winner: Eddie EdwardsAfter the match Jim Cornette announced that at Death Before Dishonor Night 1 we will see El Generico & Eddie Edwards square off in non title competitionFight Without Honor: All Night Express vs. The Briscoes- The crowd loved this match and was incredibly hot for it. It's actually possible that this match topped the Generico/Daniels match from earlier in the night
- The two teams have incredible chemistry and managed to get the crowd worked into a frenzy without even locking up in the early stages of the match
- After a good few minutes of solid wrestling Jay & Mark looked to bring some weapons into the match
- Jay recovered a table and The Briscoes looked to Springboard Doomsday Device Titus through it but King moved the table
- King hit a sick looking chair shot on Mark which busted him open badly
- Titus got some colour next after being thrown into the ring post by Mark
- King once again showed his high flying press with a springboard moonsault onto Jay, Mark & Titus when the 3 were brawling on the floor
- Titus & King got a great response from the crowd after a Coronation/Frog Splash combo but Mark managed to kick out
- The table that the Briscoes had introduced to the match was used against them when Titus & King used the One Night Stand on Jay through the table only for Mark to break up the Pin
- Jay managed to catch King with the Jay Driller but the Pretty Boy Pitbull managed to kick out after 2
- The All Night Express picked up the win after Titus used the Muff Driver on Mark Briscoe.
Winners: The All Night ExpressAfter the match Titus & King celebrated with the New York crowd to end Best In the World 2011.
