LOL is it true that this might be the worst ppv ever? Ive read online that it was supposedly.... Is it because Jim Herd was booking at the time? Im currently burning it onto DVD and cant wait to see lol CANT be worse than December to Dismember.

Yeh the PPV came off very bad:
The card was originally to be highlighted by a Steel cage match between Ric Flair and Lex Luger for the WCW World Championship, and this match was heavily promoted on WCW TV. However, just a few days before the show, then-WCW Executive Vice President Jim Herd fired Flair over a contract dispute, stripping him of the title in the process. Since Flair owned the physical title belt, he took it with him to the (then) World Wrestling Federation, so WCW had to make a new WCW World Heavyweight Championship belt; however, the new belt could not be readied in time for the event, so an old belt (Dusty Rhodes' Florida Heavyweight Championship belt) was used as a temporary replacement, with a makeshift "WCW World Heavyweight Championship" plate affixed to the front.

Here is the full card. I like all the NWA PPVs back then because they seemed more real than the WWF at the time.
GREAT AMERICAN BASH: 7/4/91 DISC 1 Bobby Eaton/P.N. News vs. Taylor/Austin Diamond Studd vs. Tom Zenk Ron Simmons vs. Oz Ricky Morton vs. Robert Gibson "6-Man Elimination match" Young Pistols/Dustin vs. Freebirds/Bad Street Yellow Dog (Brian Pillman) vs. Johnny B. Badd Big Josh vs. Black Blood DISC 2 El Gigante vs. One Man Gang Nikita Koloff vs. Sting "WCW Cage Title match" Lex Luger vs. Barry Windham Missy Hyatt/Rick Steiner vs. Paul E./Arn

It was a very bad show with nothing redeeming on it. The whole night the crowd chants we want Flair!!! and the wrestlers just seem to be at a low morale basically phoning in their matches. Shame too because matches like Pillman/Badd, Luger/Windham, Sting/Koloff, and Gibson/Morton could've REALLY saved this show from being the suckfest it was.

I always enjoy watching the early NWA /WCW. Hey DA HITMAN, on that site you got this at, are there any other old NWA/WCW events on there?

I remember seeing the highlights of the Windham/Luger match on tv the following weekend.
I've never seen the full ppv, but I really want to now... I realize it'll be bad, but I love a lot of the people in it, and want to see some of the crazy gimmicks.

I've not seen it for awhile but I remember enjoying the main event cage matxch for the vacant strap. Isn't this where Harley turns heel & alligns himself with luger?
