I can see a Christian VS. Orton rematch for the WHC at OTL with Christian regaining the title with some help of Jericho's involvement. Remember Orton punted Jericho in the head on Raw last time we saw Jericho in wwe ring. Maybe the wwe is going with Jericho returning for revenge on Orton storyline at OTL, now that Jericho is no longer on DWTS, he really should return to wwe. WWE (sd especially) really needs a great heel.

The guy at SmackDown! said Orton got the biggest pop of the night, turning him heel right now would be stupid. They were clearly caught off-guard by Edge retiring and had to scrap something together last minute. With Del Rio going to RAW they had to find a way to keep the title on SmackDown! and having Christian win the title was what made the most sense since he was already semi-involved in the main event scene. It comes down to the WWE not having confidence that Christian can draw ratings, which is ridiculous because if The Miz can hold the title as long as he did on the "A show" ANYBODY should be able to hold the title on SmackDown!. Christian deserved at least a month with the title, having him lose it is just such a buzzkill considering how over he is right now. They'll probably stick him back to mid-card obscurity now and have Orton feud with ing Mark Henry. BTW, I'm an Orton fan and think he should be the champion on one of the two brands, I just don't like the way they had him win it.

It all looks way to scrappily put together for it to be planned.

Do you know what a mark is? Of course you don't. Cause if you did, you'd realize the only marks in this thread are you and IMAW. So because "Jay Reso" isn't angry or upset "Christian" dropped the title, I shouldn't be either? That's ridiculous. If you are an adult and you let something that happens in wrestling affect your day then you are a mark. The people ranting and swearing about christian losing are marks. Whether these things apply to you, I have no idea. There is a difference between suspending disbelief/ getting caught up in the moment and swearing and crying all over a message board a day later like many are doing. Just cause one is upset over Christian losing and expresses those feelings in a certain way, doesn't mean it had an impact on their day. Being upset over the happenings of pro-wrestling doesn't make you a mark. Especially when that person blames it on Vince/writing, which debunks any theories of them being a mark. Thinking you know everything about the business while having no part in it, makes you a smark, I guess. Example: you in this thread. So I'll retract what I said about you being a mark, but I think I'd rather be a mark than a smark. Not that either of them HAVE to be a negative thing.

So ing pissed about it. Leave it to the WWE to blow John Cena and Randy Orton until their dicks fall off and screw over a guy that worked hard for that belt. And after that brutal ladder match showed his 'willingness' for the company. He was banged up and bleeding everywhere. They should have atleast gave him an 'edge' title reign if anything.

Um look back at my posts I didn't say one thing about having any knowledge of the business? Also I completely agree being unhappy christian lost the title and meaning it messed up your day are two very different things. But if you go back and re read some of the hateful swearing and ridiculous outrage that some have posted it is clear it did affect their days. So ya obviously i'm not calling everyone who posted in here a mark.

To me it is disappointing that a title reign lasts 5 days... whoever loses/wins it. Prestige seems to have been gone for a long time with the titles now.

Well, here's something, let's list all the possible reasons (realistic or not) for building Christian up to a huge, dramatic emotional title win, only to take it off him at the next available opportunity: 1) Christian sustained an injury and had to drop the title 2) Vince (or the writing team) changed their minds since the PPV and wanted the belt off him 3) Something political happened involving Christian and he's gone from WWE 4) Randy Orton used politics to regain the top spot on Smackdown 5) It's the beginning of a storyline heel turn for Christian: snapping, feeling cheated, feeling there's a conspiracy for him constatly being held back and then being made to defend his title so soon after a gruelling match6) It's the beginning of a storyline heel turn for Orton: the opportunist who stole Christian's dream. 7) Christian was just a transitional champ and that was the plan all along - to get the belt on Orton without Orton beating Del Rio this early in the year (Orton vs Del Rio heading into SummerSlam) Any others? Which do you think it is? I think this is THE most likely outcome for all of this And in response to your 7. They are on different brands, so why would they feud into Summerslam, especially seen as though Del Rio is meant to be feuding with you know who on the other show for that ppv

When was the last time the World Heavyweight Championship or the WWE Championship found a new owner on an episode of Smackdown?
EDIT: And don't tell me it was Dolph Ziggler/Edge.

I think the initial plan was for Christian to turn heel on Edge. Now that Edge is gone Orton has filled that roll.
So now (after a few rewrites) Christian may be set to turn heel on Orton. Which may also explain the lack of top heels drafted to SD this year. Maybe Christian is set to be that heel?
