...if I were Mattel or any other toy company in charge of the WWE line, I'd get rid of the basic this, elite that, kind of stuff and just have and concentrate on one line and make everything just for that line. My figures would be like the basics except that the legs would be able to go outward like the elites, and I'd sell add-on accessories such as shirts, jackest, entrance gear, weapons, character-specific props online seperately for a couple bucks. And the rings I'd have would be sort of an annex between the elite scale and superstar rings. I'd make the superstar ring a little bigger(or scale ring a little smaller, whichever floats your boat) with all the removable real parts that the elite ring has and again, add on's such as ringskirts, ropes, posts, steps, security wall(wwehd logo in corners, heck of a lot sturdier), announce table(w/show specific covers) etc. sold online as well. And of course every cage, cell, chamber, ppv setup WWE has. And I'd do the same for the Legends also. Same figs, same rings, etc. just old school.
I hate that there are 2 lines that we have to go back and forth between just to get all that we want in our collection, whether it be belts, attire, updated looks, etc. I definitely know this is wishful thinking and it will never happen, but in my perfect world that's what I'd do. Just thought I'd share.
Oh, one more thing...entrance stages!!!

Thats possibly one of the dumbest ideas I've ever read, for a number of reasons.
Putting out two main series caters to all audiences, some like Basic, some like Elite. I prefer Elites myself. Animators prefer the articulation of Elites for better posing etc. Basic figures are able to provide figures for those that arent too fussed on accessories and don't want to pay full price for an Elite. Flex Force is more for parents who are buying figures for their kids etc. Put out one main series and sales will drop, guaranteed.
Putting accessories for sale online is also ridiculous, after shipping and tax, paying for a cheap accessory will come to the price of a figure alone. If I want an Undertaker jacket, I shouldn't have to buy it separately online, it should come with the figure.
The point of the Elite Scale Ring is that its in scale with the figures, it won't be if its made smaller. As for your every cage etc idea, you're asking for a lot, plus the Kennel From Hell match will most likely not get made for obvious reasons. I won't even bother explaining how stupid the 'every PPV' setup idea is, do you know how many PPVs WWE has / has had?
In a perfect world, your idea won't happen.

I like the option to pick between Elite/Basic or DI/RI. They should not have just one line.

...if I were Mattel or any other toy company in charge of the WWE line No, because if you were in charge of a company's WWE line, you'd have to run it as a business, not just a way to make all your own unrealistic fantasy toys. There are different lines for a reason. If, instead of having $10 basic figures and $15 elite figures, they just had one kind of figure that cost $12.50, people wouldn't be happy. The people who are happy with basics wouldn't be happy about the price increase, and the people who like elites wouldn't be happy that there's extra hassle and cost (when you factor in shipping) as far as getting accessories.

I think if they did that now there would be heavy backlash. Too many fans are set in their ways and would hate to start all over again.

I do agree with getting a ring that is inbetween the ones we have now. Elite scale ring is MASSIVE. It's great for collectors with a load of space and people who are happy to spend so much on a ring but damn, it's certainly not a realistic purchase for many (myself included). As for the basic rings? They're too small and too tacky, I'd never want a ring with a plastic floor.
Ideally, bring out an approx. $30 ring with the canvas of the ESR and some cool ringskirts added to the side. Make it inbetween the size of the Basic rings and the ESR. Perfect.
As for the figures, I'd personally like to see basic/elite combined. More like Basics with better hips really. But Mattel are wise, they know many people buy both styles (I know I do) so it's probably very profitable for them.
