Rough. First Edger/Maynard, and now this? Two of the biggest fights of the year gone. I hate Carwin, so I hope Dos Santos takes it

OH !!! - I'm not so much upset about not getting Dos Santos vs Brock Lesnar, I'm more worried about Brock Lesnar, last time he was sick it was really bad, I'd hate to see this be a part 2 of what happened once before... Shane Carwin is awesome, I'm a big fan! I hope he K.O's Dos Santos. I want him to get his hands on Cain. That would be a cool fight. =]

Just heard about this over at Sherdog.
Conspiracy or not, this doesn't bode to well for Brock's career. I hope he gets well soon.

I want Carwin to win, but with not much time to prepare I dunno if he can.
Who does everyone think will win?

Nelson predicted something like this in January.

Right now, I just really hope that Brock is o.k. His last battle nearly killed him, I hope he just gets over this even if it does cost him his UFC career. Man, this sucks.
That said, Shane Carwin could be a UFC Champion if he had anything remotely resembling cardio. Who knows how he's changed, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. But I think JDS wins this one hands down unless we see the absolute best Shane Carwin we've ever seen.

Wow, just heard about this...
That's terrible to hear about Lesnar, hope he recovers soon...I personally think JDS will be able to defeat Carwin, possibly in the first round.

Speaking from someone who has intestinal issues myself, it is an extremely frusterating disease that at times can seem overwhelming. Heres hoping he makes a complete come-back.
Also, speaking from someone who has an understanding of diver-t with my nursing background, there are many different severities of the disease, however the surgery mentioned in the article is a rather common surgery and although it is considered a rather "big" operation the results are extremely promising.

Wow, this was probably my most anticipated fight as soon as it was announced.
Hope Lesnar can make a speedy recovery. Dos Santos and Carwin are my #1 and #2 favourite heavyweights in the UFC, respectfully. Carwin is a much, much more dangerous opponent for Dos Santos.
Insane.

Nelson predicted something like this in January. ...predicted that the diverticulitis would flare up again - or that Brock was always going to pull out of the fight? If it's the latter, he's talking BS. I really hope Brock can get well and come back from this... it sucks for the UFC losing another high-profile main event - Carwin/Dos Santos is still a good fight... but it's not the same. It will be interesting to see how Dos Santos handles the Carwin onslaught... sure, it's true that Carwin doesn't have much of a gas tank - but Brock was the only opponent to make it out the first round. If it goes past a round or two, I think Dos Santos should take it... that's a big "if" though.
