I read somewhere that Roy Nelson claimed that Dana never intended for Brock to fight JDS and that he only put them against each other for the purposes of The Ultimate Fighter show. He wasn't surprised that Brock dropped out because it's what he has been expecting for months now.

I can't seem to find a single reason to give a **** what Roy Nelson has to say.

So Brock says he will fight again and that he had never fully recovered from his first bout with illness? Makes me wonder if he was ready to get back into the octagon when Dana came calling with Carwin. I hope he gets better as he was finally becoming a fighter, going from over-inflated monster to man learning to fix the holes in his game.

Bet you Brock gets a gimme fight when he is "ready" to get back in there and he'll get to be the #1 contender after.

UFC did an amazing job at finding a worthy opponent, im actually looking more forward to this fight. sure Brock beat Carwin, but i still believe Shane is the much better fighter. this is gonna be a brawl.

it looks like Dana needs to be more careful about picking coaches for TUF
but seriously, I hope he gets well soon

I hope he gets better as he was finally becoming a fighter, going from over-inflated monster to man learning to fix the holes in his game. He said that he's "never been close to 100%" since coming back and that he's "sick and tired of feeling sick and tired". I don't blame him one bit for wanting to get this sorted. Bet you Brock gets a gimme fight when he is "ready" to get back in there and he'll get to be the #1 contender after. I think he should get a "gimme" fight when he comes back... diverticulitis is a very serious condition - and if he opts for surgery, he could be out well over a year. There's no need to rush things after being out for so long... unlike the last time he came back, he won't be the champ so won't have to take on a top contender.

Oh my God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A lot of main event injuries as of late. Dana should start posting prelims in the main event spot. With this new curse over main-eventers, we need to sacrifice the no-names lol
