Guys, I first off want to say that I'm extremely honored to have been suggested, and now selected as the Moderator of the Pic-Fed Board. Since I've been visiting the boards since 2009, I've always enjoyed viewing Pic-Fed shows. I never started my own fed until a few months ago, but I am familiar with how things work around here, from following this board for several years.
I know that the Board has been kind've at a stand-still these last few months. Several members have been putting out great shows, but receiving very few replies. As Mod, I want to make the Pic-Fed Board a place where anyone who has a passion for fedding feels welcomed, and make them feel like their work is appreciated. I also want to encourage members, new and old, to continue to put up shows. We have a good core here, with some veterans as well as some newcomers. With this group of guys we have, I believe that we can rebuild this board if we work together.
That's where you guys come in: I want everyone to enjoy being a part of this community, and to have their voices heard. If we all work together, we can make this board fun again. Just from talking to some of the guys, I'm getting the feeling that we're just in a dead period, so to speak. So, to maybe add some spark to the board, I'd like to make an announcement:
A new joint-event is coming! 'When Worlds Collide,' is the latest joint-production from the WFIGS Pic-Fed Board. StingerSplash, King of Honor, bigeviljohn, and sammson have already entered their fed in the event. If you'd like to be a part of this, just post your intent in the Official 'When Worlds Collide' Thread over in the Discussion Board.
I hope that this will create some unity among us fedders, and get everyone back in the swing of things.
I'm also going to leave the FAQ, and Help Threads that Wars created. They're both very good resources for new pic-fedders. If anyone would like to add to those: Just let me know.
Let's also limit the arguing. I know that at one point, there was a huge fight, which pretty much lead to the board falling to its current state. Arguing won't be tolerated, and if you attempt to pick fights, you'll be reported to the Admins.
If you guys have any suggestions, questions or comments: Feel free to PM me. I really want some feedback, and just want to know what you guys would like to see happen around here. Let's make this board into a thriving community once again!
