my favorite of all time. - and i would have said that from April 1987- today.. and i will tomorrow. imo the OVERALL BEST EVER.. yea, u can find some who worked just as smooth as he did (flair, hbk, bret).. maybe some who talked as good as he ( flair,) maybe some who looked almost as good as he (flair!) But No1 wrestler looked, talked, and worked as good as RANDY SAVAGE.
so happy mattel got him done b4 this tragic accident.. i happily hold two of ea (dm,L5,A.S.) none of which i would sell for any paper.. in elementary school when all my friends wanted HULK to win back the belt when the MEGA POWERS EXPLODED! my close friend and i Chose Savage!
my fav Macho Memories:
1989 pre summerslam hype: Macho King, Zeus, Sherri promo behind Blue Steel Cage!
1991: WM7 Randy and LiZ Reunite! ( even my Mom cried!)
1987: watching Randy and Ricky show all of us workers how it is done.. MAGiC
1987: SNME selling his leg to make Bret Hart look like a million bucks EVEN W/ His BOOT OFF!
1992: amazing Rare 4 star match WWF Champ Macho Man vs young heel HBK in ENGLAND
and every promo from mon nights, tues nights, sat&sun morning, ThankGOD for YouTube.
OOOH YEA! DiG iT! DOIN THE THING in the RING

I really enjoyed his work as a heel with DDP in WCW. His match with Ultimate Warrior in WM7 was legendary to say the very least. He truly was a legend. R.I.P.

It still seams so surreal. Not taking anything away from the deaths of other guys like Guerrero, Benoit or Owen but Savage was a true "Face" of not only the company but wrestling in general. Guys like Hogan, Savage, Flair and Andre are on pedestals of their own. Having one of those actually knocked off is just........Wow....shocking. Bret and Punk, have been really devastated. Also, why this is shocking, is because Macho has this surreal personality, or gimmick.

I still have that sick feeling in my stomach like a family member just died. Because it is like our family. All of us here, are like wrestling fan-family.

Heard WWE.com has a tribute video up. I bet we'll see it maybe at OTL, but more likely Raw.

When I first saw this thread I thought it was some sort of joke, and then suddenly I got that weird feeling in my stomach that told me something was wrong. I felt a tear in my eye and still can't believe it. I can't imagine a person as happy and energetic as Savage in a dead state, it just doesn't seem right. I know everyone has to go at some point but I just hate acknowledging the fact that something that was once alive, charismatic and cheerful is gone. Hopefully Macho is reunited with Miss Elizabeth once and for all...
We will truly miss you Macho. R.I.P Macho Man Randy Savage

Also, why this is shocking, is because Macho has this surreal personality, or gimmick. Its like I tried to say. There are a certain few (in any category) that are on a different level the the rest. Its like Kurt Cobain's death...yea sad, fans were sad. Eazy-E Death....sad again but then Michael Jackson dies and its a HUGE thing. MJ was on a different level then other guys. Its a guy you almost expect to live forever if not for a very very very very long time

I think his time for the HOF was coming next anyways. I thought it would be this year, but when they announced HBK, I don't think they would've wanted to put those two in the same class.

This one hits hard-One of my all-time favourites growing up-Feel like a little piece of my childhood has been lost today...very sad, especially with the fact he seemed very content and happy with life, had just gotten remarried, was doing more and more business with WWE after many years, I'll never forget you and no one else will either. I'll always love the Macho Man...Randy Savage. Rest In Peace

I've had a hatred for Hogan ever since the Mega Powers exploded. I've always been all about Macho Madness.

Been really bummed out all day over this. Just an amazing performer all around. One of the greatest ever. he has not been an active competitor for a long time yet we still talked about him all the time. That proves the impact he had on wrestling fans every where. With his passing we honor his memory and all he gave us. RIP Macho Man! Thank you for the memories.
